Middleton didn’t play a ton of minutes, but he was on the court long enough to lead his team in scoring and deliver some useful peripherals. Over the last two games, he’s gone for at least 16/3/3/2, and he’s ranked just outside the top 100 in per-game fantasy value over the last week. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues could do worse.

George sustained a facial injury and left the game late in the fourth quarter. He finished the night with 10 points, eight boards, five assists, a steal and two triples across 32 minutes before his early exit. George has seen his playing time increase from 26.2 minutes pre All-Star break to over 31 minutes after the break, and he’s ranked inside the top 140 over the last two weeks. George is worth a look in deeper leagues as he continues to play a large role for Washington, but fantasy managers will need to keep an eye on his status following Monday’s injury.

Simons shot 13-of-26 from the floor and a blistering 6-of-11 from beyond the arc to account for his game-leading point total. He added four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 32 minutes. Simons has now scored at least 25 points in four of his last six, and he’s drained at least three triples in that span. He’ll look to stay hot when the Blazers visit the Celtics on Wednesday.

Clingan drew an eighth-straight start with Deandre Ayton and Robert Williams on the sideline. The rookie’s production has been a mixed bag, and Monday’s 13/13 line was his first double-double since February 12 and just his fourth of the season. The points and rebounds might be erratic, but he’s averaged 7.4 points, 9.5 boards and 2.4 swats across 18 starts, making him a worthwhile streaming option while he’s running with the first unit.

In addition to shooting the ball well in Cleveland, the second-year wing racked up fantasy value with his steals. He has recorded at least one steal in 13 straight games, continuing to establish himself as one of the NBA’s better defenders. Since the All-Star break, Camara has provided top-15 value in eight-cat formats. With Portland playing four games during Week 18, he should be rostered in more than 49 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

While he didn’t shoot the ball efficiently, Simons has now scored 25 points or more in three of his last five outings. Despite shooting 40.4 percent from the field, the Blazers guard has been a top 100 player in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break. The lingering question for Simons managers: will there come a point when the Blazers decide to shut him down? The door isn’t completely closed on the final play-in spot in the West, but Sunday’s defeat dropped Portland to five games behind Dallas in the loss column.

Avdija was outstanding in Cleveland, shooting over 50 percent from the field and recording his first career triple-double. While he has only been a 10th-round player in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break, the Blazers wing is a must-roster player at this stage. Avdija has an even higher ceiling when the Blazers are shorthanded, as they were on Sunday when they played without Jerami Grant. Portland plays four games during Week 18, starting with the 76ers on Monday.

Washington is making a long-term commitment to Champagnie, who is averaging 7.5 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting 50.7 percent from the field this season. The former UDFA bounced around from the Raptors, Celtics, and Heat before catching on with the Wizards in early 2024. Champagnie maintains little fantasy value at this time, but the Wizards are hoping he can become a solid three-and-D wing as he hits his prime.

George’s shooting struggles remain, but that isn’t something that dynasty managers should worry about. He will figure that out eventually. It’s everything else that he has done this season that makes him an exciting prospect, and this game was no exception. George set a new career-high for assists and was able to maintain his recent uptick in defensive production. George should be considered a high-upside option during “silly season”, and he has shown plenty of flashes in his first year in the league that should make him an enticing rookie to dynasty managers.

Middleton’s production has been limited since being traded to Washington, but he played well on Saturday. He had his highest scoring game as a Wizards and still provided value in other categories while playing just 24 minutes. Middleton’s role has been limited with Washington, and that isn’t likely to change at any point. However, he proved in this game that he can still contribute standard league value in a limited role. Washington only has three games next week, but Middleton should be productive when he’s on the floor.

After missing three games with an ankle sprain, Sarr was back in the lineup against Charlotte. He didn’t have a great night, but it was good to see the rookie back on the floor, and he was able to play 26 minutes. Richaun Holmes, who had been starting in place of Sarr, played the other 22 minutes at center off the bench and contributed 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists and one steal. Sharpe entered the starting lineup Friday with Jerami Grant and Deni Avdija both out. The 21-year-old shooting guard has consistently stepped up his scoring output when the Trail Blazers are missing starters this year and it was the same story against the Nets. After scoring 13 points on 4-of-15 shooting in games against the Magic and Nets, Kispert got back on track Wednesday night. He’s scored 20 points or more in two of his last five games and can provide solid three-point value. Before that two-game slump, he ripped off a run of seven straight games in double figures, averaging 16.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.3 three-pointers while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. Kispert is only rostered in seven percent of Yahoo! leagues; he’ll be worth a dice roll in deep leagues for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.

Starting for the injured Alexandre Sarr (ankle), Holmes did not miss a shot on Wednesday. The 20 points were a season-high, with the offensive output making up for the non-existent defensive stats. Holmes is unlikely to revisit his fantasy basketball “glory days” at this stage in his career, but he’s worth a look in deep leagues when allowed to start. After a rough 2023-24 campaign, Poole has been much-improved, even if the strides taken have not resulted in more wins for the Wizards. He’s provided top-50 value in eight-cat formats, something few (if any) fantasy managers expected. With Wednesday’s effort, Poole has scored 20-plus points in consecutive games for the first time since February 7-8, and he has been a top-40 player over the past three weeks in eight-cat. Even better for fantasy managers is that Poole and the Wizards end Week 17 with a game against the Hornets on Saturday.

Grant shot the ball poorly again on Wednesday, and he’s only made 27.5 percent of his attempts over the past two weeks. However, the rebound production has increased in recent games. During that same two-week stretch, the veteran forward averages 5.3 rebounds per game, nearly two more than his mark for the season (3.5). However, the combination of decreased scoring and limited output in the other fantasy-relevant categories makes Grant a problematic player to hold onto in 10-team formats, even though he remains rostered in 74 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

After scoring eight points in his first game out of the All-Star break, Simons tallied 25 and 28 in wins over the Hornets and Jazz. He wasn’t as productive against the Wizards, but there was some value in the rebound, assist and steal numbers. Over the past two weeks, Simons has been a top 100 player in eight-cat formats, which aligns with his season-long value. Unless there’s a significant spike in production in one of the categories where Simons doesn’t traditionally provide consistent value (rebounds or field goal percentage), his ceiling will be limited.

Wednesday’s game was the best of the season for Sharpe in terms of production and highlights. Shaedon notched a season-high point total (36) and put up that number efficiently. He shot 50 percent from the field and 70 percent from the foul line and was also effective in the rebound and assist categories. Add in arguably the best in-game dunk in the NBA this season, and this was an excellent night for Sharpe, who scored 18 points in each half. Another note is the left quad injury that sidelined Deni Avdija before halftime. Sharpe started the third quarter, which may indicate his place within the rotation if Avdija misses time.
