Murray sat out Sunday, and he’s in danger of missing a second straight contest due to a back injury. If he’s unavailable, Trey Lyles could remain with the first unit. Ellis’ appearance on the injury report could be precautionary for the second leg of Sacramento’s back-to-back set, and if he’s unavailable, Malik Monk could slot back into the starting five. DeRozan has scored 21 points or more in six straight games, providing consistent offensive value to fantasy managers. However, the defensive production has limited his value, with Deebo being a sixth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. For DeRozan managers whose leagues run through Week 23, the Kings play four games, starting with Monday’s road trip finale in Detroit. He’ll be especially valuable in points leagues and for managers who don’t need defensive production.

LaVine’s entire stat line did not provide much value to category league managers, but his points, three-pointers and field goal percentage were outstanding. The 37 points are the most he’s scored in a game since February 24, and the opponent on that night (Charlotte) was far less formidable than the Cavaliers. LaVine will look to build on Sunday’s performance when the Kings end their road trip in Detroit on Monday.

Sacramento’s “big three” of Sabonis, Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan combined to score 92 points on Sunday. And with Phoenix’s loss to the Knicks, the Kings moved closer to locking down a play-in spot. The lone negative for Sabonis managers was the turnover category, as he was responsible for six. He’s averaged three turnovers per game over the past two weeks, so Sabonis is ranked outside the top 60 in nine-cat formats. The Kings play four games during Week 23, starting with the Pistons on Monday.

Sarr’s fantasy value has not been great recently, with the rookie ranking as a 12th-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. He’s been even worse in nine-cat, as the 2.8 turnovers per game have been problematic. Sarr committed four turnovers on Sunday, limiting his fantasy value in nine-cat formats. He and the Wizards play four games during Week 23, and the rookie should certainly be rostered in active leagues.

Carrington had a rough night from beyond the arc, making just one of his eight attempts. Those struggles negatively impacted his overall field-goal percentage, but the rookie did record six assists without committing a turnover. While Jordan Poole (15/2/5 with two three-pointers) continues to start, Carrington’s place in the lineup is secure, and he’s playing heavy minutes. After enduring a two-game slump in which he scored 14 points on 6-of-23 shooting, Monk got untracked Friday night. Facing one of the worst defenses in the NBA, he shot over 50 percent from the field, and the 17 points were the most in a game for Malik since March 20, before he missed three games due to an illness. LaVine’s fantasy value has tailed off considerably over the past two weeks, as he’s ranked outside the top 200 in nine-cat formats. The combination of limited defensive production and 3.1 turnovers per game have done him no favors during this stretch. Sabonis recorded his 57th double-double of the season and fifth in as many games on Friday. During this five-game run, the Kings center has provided third-round value in eight-cat formats. While Sabonis remains a top-25 player in eight- and nine-cat formats for the season, he’s ranked outside the top-75 in both since the trade deadline. Sarr (15/4/1/1/1 with three three-pointers in 26 minutes) will remain the priority since he was Washington’s lottery pick, but Vukcevic is worth a look in deep leagues, especially as more teams shut down key players as the regular season concludes.

Johnson has started Washington’s last three games, logging at least 37 minutes in each appearance. And if Khris Middleton and Marcus Smart remain out, there’s no reason to believe the rookie’s playing time will decrease. As one would expect from a rookie, Johnson’s production has been inconsistent, but he’s scored 19 points or more in two of his last three appearances. He’s only shot 38.6 percent from the field over the past week, so fantasy managers have mostly stayed away. After struggling in 38 minutes on the floor in Monday’s blowout loss to the Heat, Carrington was better against the Kings. Shooting just under 50 percent from the field, the rookie’s 19 points were the most in a game for him since February 8. Over the past two weeks, Carrington has been ranked just outside the top 150 in eight-cat formats, as shooting 36.7 percent from the field has not done him any favors. With the Wizards prioritizing their younger players, and rightfully so, Poole has only surpassed 25 minutes four times in his last 10 appearances. For fantasy managers, that makes it paramount that he takes advantage of the opportunities he does get, which was the case against the Kings. Poole was efficient in scoring his 24 points, shooting over 50 percent from the field, and not committing a turnover. LaVine had a rough second half on Wednesday, shooting 1-of-7 from the field, and the Kings lost a game they could ill afford to lose in their quest to earn a play-in spot. While shooting 44.6 percent from the field over the past two weeks isn’t terrible, LaVine doesn’t have as much margin for error, fantasy-wise, due to his limited defensive production. During this stretch, he’s ranked outside the top 250 in nine-cat formats and the top 150 in eight-cat. Not only do the Kings need him to be better in their final two games of Week 22, but the same can be said for fantasy managers who have LaVine rostered.

As is usually the case, Sabonis again provided reliable value in points, rebounds and assists on Wednesday. Unfortunately, a combination of limited defensive production and poor foul shooting have made him a sixth-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Sabonis has been a top-20 player in eight-cat formats for the season, which aligns with his Yahoo! ADP of 15. If anything, the additions of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine may negatively impact how Sabonis is viewed in drafts next fall if the Kings keep this core together.

Usually fourth or fifth in the Kings’ offensive pecking order on most nights, Murray’s had to provide value in other areas. He finished Wednesday’s defeat with two steals and one blocked shot and has averaged 0.8 steals and 1.6 blocks over the past two weeks. That production is one of the reasons why he has offered top-25 value in nine-cat formats during this stretch. Shooting 50.5 percent from the field doesn’t hurt, but Murray’s willingness to consistently take on challenging defensive assignments has boosted his fantasy value after a slow start to the season.

After scoring 31 points in Monday’s loss to the Pacers, DeRozan put up another 29 on Wednesday. He’s scored at least 20 points in 11 of his last 12 outings, except a March 25 loss to Oklahoma City. Over the past month, DeRozan has provided eighth-round value in nine-cat formats. That’s three rounds lower than his season-long value, with slight dips in his defensive stats being a factor.
