After Ayton put up 16 shots in Tuesday’s win over the Pelicans, fantasy managers likely hoped for a similar output on Wednesday, especially with LeBron James (toe) out. Unfortunately, he only attempted nine shots, with Jake LaRavia (13) and Luka Dončić (26) being the only Lakers to hit double digits in attempts. With James possibly returning to the lineup on Friday, fantasy managers have to hope that his presence will result in a few more opportunities for Ayton.

After Friday’s dud against the Grizzlies, Ayton has bounced back with two solid performances. On Tuesday, he recorded his second double-double in five games and 13th of the season. Generally speaking, when Ayton is involved in the offense early, he can be relied on for solid effort/production throughout. Fantasy managers who have him rostered will certainly root for the Lakers to feed Ayton early before Luka Dončić and LeBron James take over.

Coming off of one of his least productive games of the season, Ayton bounced back with a solid effort on Sunday. The Lakers did more to get him involved early on the offensive end of the floor, resulting in the 7-footer bringing the engagement that’s required of him on defense. While Ayton remains a top-75 fantasy player for the season, he has been ranked outside the top-150 over the past two weeks. Hopefully, he can build on Sunday’s performance, especially defensively.

After missing two games with a right elbow injury, Ayton was back in the starting lineup on Tuesday. He recorded his 11th double-double, and the three steals were a season-high. Providing fifth-round value in eight-cat formats, Ayton has played consistent basketball in his first season with the Lakers. Not only has his team benefited, but so have those who are rostering the 7-footer.

Ayton is set to return Tuesday against the Suns after missing two games with an elbow injury. Jaxson Hayes and Jarred Vanderbilt will cede minutes to Ayton upon his return. The 27-year-old center remains a reliable starter in standard formats and the Lakers have three games this week.

Ayton has missed two straight games, but it appears he’s on the right track to return on Tuesday. If Ayton is available, Jaxson Hayes and Jarred Vanderbilt could see their roles reduced.

Ayton will miss a second straight game with a sore right elbow. While Jaxson Hayes started Thursday’s win over the Jazz, he only played 22 minutes, with Jarred Vanderbilt logging 25 off the bench. With the Clippers having Ivica Zubac in their starting lineup, Hayes may pick up a few more minutes on Saturday.

Ayton is dealing with a sore right elbow, forcing his absence for Thursday’s game. Jaxson Hayes has been the replacement in the past, and that should be the case against the Jazz. He’s only worth a look in deep leagues where there’s a need for blocks and a high field-goal percentage.

Ayton finished Sunday’s victory with his tenth double-double of the season, halfway to his total for the entire 2024-25 campaign. So far, the move to Los Angeles has gone well for the 7-footer, who has been close to a top-50 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. As long as Ayton remains healthy, he’s well-positioned to offer reliable fantasy value.

With the Lakers’ “big three” of Luka Dončić, LeBron James and Austin Reaves available, Ayton’s scoring opportunities were bound to take a hit. The seven field-goal attempts were the fewest for the 7-footer in a game that he’s played at least 25 minutes since a November 12 loss to the Thunder. But he made all of them, in his most accurate performance of the season. Add in the rebounds, and Ayton finished with his ninth double-double of the season.

After a solid showing in Monday’s loss to the Suns, Ayton began the Lakers’ road trip with a quality performance against the Raptors. He’s grabbed at least eight rebounds in four straight and seven of his last eight games while averaging 16.3 points and 1.4 blocks per game. There were certainly questions regarding Ayton’s fit with the Lakers before the season began, but he’s answered the call thus far. And fantasy managers have benefited.

Despite banging knees during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win over the Pelicans, Ayton is good to go for Sunday’s matchup with the franchise that selected him first overall in the 2018 draft. As a result, Jaxson Hayes will miss out on an opportunity to start and become a deep-league streaming option.

Ayton, who missed the Lakers’ November 25 win over the Clippers with a right knee injury, may have aggravated the injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s victory. He banged knees with Derik Queen, and while Ayton returned to the game after the first timeout called to get him off the floor, he didn’t last long before needing to ask for a sub. With the Suns hosting the Suns on Monday, this could be a spot where Jaxson Hayes (8/6/2/0/2 in 21 minutes) receives the starting nod, with Ayton getting the night off. However, Ayton did not sound concerned about the injury while in the locker room after the win, which may bode well for his availability for Monday night.

Ayton appears to be getting more comfortable with his new teammates and what’s required of him on a game-by-game basis. He finished Friday’s win two rebounds shy of a double-double, but fantasy managers received a complete stat line from the 7-footer. So far, Ayton’s fit with the Lakers has been good, and LeBron James’ move into the starting lineup has not done severe damage to the center’s fantasy value.

As expected, Ayton will take the court against Dallas. He’ll have to contend with Anthony Davis, who is making his return on Friday following a 14-game absence. Davis will likely see a minutes restriction, while Ayton should handle a typical workload.

Ayton, who injured his knee during a November 23 win over the Jazz, is on track to miss just one game. If he returns on Friday, Jaxson Hayes will head back to the bench, where he offers little in the way of fantasy value. The Lakers have a back-to-back on Sunday and Monday, so there’s a possibility that Ayton sits out one of those games, provided he’s officially cleared to return.

Ayton injured his knee during the first half of Sunday’s win over the Jazz. With the MRI coming back clean, the Lakers hope to have their starting center back by the weekend. Jaxson Hayes will be the starting center until Ayton is cleared to return. While not the most enticing streaming option, Hayes is worth the risk for Tuesday since there are only three games on the schedule.

Injured during the first half of Sunday’s win over the Jazz, Ayton will not play on Tuesday. Jaxson Hayes should enter the starting lineup, with Maxi Kleber sliding into the backup center role. With only three games on Tuesday’s schedule, Hayes is worth the risk in deeper leagues.

Ayton suffered a knee contusion during the first half of Sunday’s game and was not on the floor to begin the third quarter. Just before the start of the fourth, the Lakers announced that he would not return. Jaxson Hayes started the third quarter, with Maxi Kleber entering the rotation when he needed a break. That will likely be the rotation if Ayton can’t play in Tuesday’s game against the Clippers.

Ayton did not participate in Saturday’s practice before the Lakers departed for Salt Lake City, but he did travel and is not on the injury report. Jaxson Hayes misses out on an opportunity to start, and there’s no need to consider streaming him.

Ayton remained at home due to an illness, but he will travel with the team for Sunday’s road game against the Jazz. He’s only missed one game this season, a November 2 win over the Heat, with Jaxson Hayes filling the void in the starting lineup. Hayes played 15 minutes off the bench in Tuesday’s win over the Jazz, and he’ll be a deep-league streamer at best if Ayton doesn’t play in Sunday’s rematch.

For the third game in a row, and for the sixth time this season, Ayton was able to record a 20-point double-double. He has had an excellent year, and the debut of LeBron James didn’t negatively impact his usage. Ayton has been active on the glass, and they’re feeding him the ball. Both are signs that this level of production will continue, and that this lineup can continue to have success.

Ayton torched the Bucks for 16 first-half points, draining seven of 10 shots from the field, while also pulling down six rebounds as the Lakers built a 31-point advantage at the half. He scored just four more points in the second half, but his early outburst was enough to help power the Lakers to their 10th win in 14 games to start the year. He’s outperformed conservative expectations so far, averaging 16.2 points and 8.4 rebounds through 13 contests in his Los Angeles debut.

Domin-Ayton made an appearance in this game early on, which led to him recording a double-double before halftime. This was Ayton’s fourth 20/10 double-double this season, but this one was far more efficient than the rest. Ayton has been inconsistent, but he has had some really good games as a Laker so far. If he continues playing this well, they’ll be a difficult team to beat.

For the first time this season, Ayton has recorded double-doubles in consecutive games. Faced with the challenging task of defending Victor Wembanyama, the Lakers center held his own and provided his team with needed production in the frontcourt. Thus far, Ayton has been a top-100 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, proving to be slightly more valuable in the former. There remains the question of what his role will look like once LeBron James is available to play, but Ayton is in a good spot right now.

When the Lakers played Portland earlier this season, Ayton was held to 16 points and eight rebounds in what ended up being one of their two losses this season. Since then, they’ve won four games in a row, and Ayton came up big in this one with a new season-high for points. This was Ayton’s best outing of the season, which was pivotal to the victory. Next up on the schedule is a matchup with Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs, which isn’t a favorable matchup for Ayton.

Ayton, who experienced back spasms during Friday’s win over the Grizzlies, did not play in Sunday’s win over the Heat. He was replaced in the lineup by Jaxson Hayes, who made all seven of his shot attempts and finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one three-pointer. He will be worth streaming if Ayton has to miss a second consecutive game.

Ayton was downgraded from questionable to out ahead of Sunday’s matchup against Miami after experiencing back pain on Friday against Memphis. The absence will mark the first of Ayton’s early tenure with the Lakers. Jaxson Hayes is a strong candidate to fill in the starting lineup with Ayton unable to take the floor against the Heat.

Ayton experienced back spasms during Friday’s win over the Grizzlies, exiting after playing 17 first-half minutes. Sunday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Lakers, who visit the Trail Blazers on Monday. If Ayton cannot play on Sunday, Jaxson Hayes will move into the starting lineup.
