Aldama will be good to go after initially being listed as questionable. He’ll continue to play a significant reserve role for Memphis after playing 24 minutes on the first night of this back-to-back.

Aldama has been dealing with an ankle injury, and it could cost him the second leg of the Grizzlies’ back-to-back set. If Aldama is ultimately ruled out, more playing time could be available for Jock Landale and GG Jackson.

Despite coming off the bench, Aldama continues to provide reliable fantasy value. Over the past two weeks, the Grizzlies forward has been a seventh-round player in eight-cat formats. Aldama didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, but the rebounds and assists compensated for that. The Grizzlies play four games in Week 12, and he’ll be worth rostering for the foreseeable future, especially with Zach Edey (ankle) sidelined.

Aldama is good to go after initially being listed as questionable. He’ll take on his usual reserve role, but the former first-round pick boasts a higher fantasy ceiling with Ja Morant (calf) unavailable.

Aldama has been a key reserve for the Grizzlies this season, playing well enough to merit being rostered in some 12-team formats. If he’s unable to play on Sunday, Aldama’s minutes will likely be absorbed by Jock Landale and GG Jackson.

Already a solid fantasy option, Aldama’s ceiling has been raised recently due to injuries to Zach Edey and Jock Landale. Over the past week, he has provided seventh-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, exceeding his season-long value by a few rounds. Aldama recorded his fourth double-double on Sunday, and the four steals were a season-high. Rostered in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s worth a look in more 12-team formats, even with the Grizzlies playing three games in Week 11.

Aldama returned to the starting lineup in this game and led Memphis to win. He set a new career high for threes and matched his career high for points, which he set three days prior to this game. A dud against the Thunder was sandwiched between two 37-point outings. Aldama continues to be a consistent producer for Memphis, which is helpful with how many injuries they have dealt with in the frontcourt. Aldama is available in 55 percent of Yahoo! leagues but should be considered a must-roster player at this point.

Aldama saw a massive uptick in usage with Brandon Clarke exiting this one after just a handful of minutes with a calf injury. The 24-year-old amassed a season-high 23 shot attempts and shot 65.2 percent from the floor, including knocking down 5-of-9 from three-point range. It would be unrealistic to expect him to go full supernova on a regular basis, but he’s a streaky scorer capable of lighting up opposing teams when he’s in a groove. He’ll see additional minutes next week if Clark winds up requiring an extended absence, especially since Zach Edey is still dealing with an ankle issue. The Grizzlies kick off a four-game week on Monday with a road matchup against a powerhouse Thunder before facing the Jazz and Bucks before a rematch against the Wizards.

Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo decided to go with Aldama to fill in for the injured Zach Edey on Friday, and his faith was rewarded. After scoring 22 points in Sunday’s win over the Trail Blazers, the 7-footer hit that number again on Friday. Aldama finished with a complete stat line, and the production may be enough to keep him in the starting lineup moving forward. Jock Landale, who filled in for Edey to begin the season, played 27 minutes off the bench. He finished with eight points, nine rebounds, one assist, one block and two three-pointers.

While Morant’s return from a strained calf is the most significant change to the Grizzlies’ starting lineup, it isn’t the only one. While Jock Landale has been the preferred choice in the past, Aldama will step in to fill the void left by the injured Zach Edey (ankle). Edey will be out for at least four weeks, so there’s still time for Landale to slide into the lineup. But this decision bodes well for Aldama’s fantasy value, which is capped when he comes off the bench.

Aldama spearheaded an impressive effort from the Memphis reserves in this one as the Grizzlies got a staggering 69 bench point, including double-digit performances from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jock Landale and Cam Spencer, to power the club to their seventh win over their last nine games. Aldama’s unexpected offensive surge helped make up for the absence of scoring machine Ja Morant, who sat this one out with a lingering calf injury. The Grizzlies have just one game next week when they face the Jazz on Friday night.

After a quiet first half in which he scored six points, Aldama stepped up after halftime. He scored 14 second-half points, combining with guard Cam Spencer to push the Grizzlies over the finish line. In two starts for the injured Jaren Jackson Jr., Aldama has scored 49 points on 20-of-35 shooting from the field, recording complete stat lines in both outings. With the Grizzlies playing four games in Week 6, starting with the Nuggets on Monday, it would be a good idea to add Aldama, given the injuries Jackson and Jock Landale (neck) are dealing with.

Already playing without Ja Morant, the Grizzlies did not have Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) for Thursday’s game. No need for concern, apparently, as Aldama was ready to fill the void. The 29 points were a season-high for the forward/center, whose final stat line only lacked a steal. The Grizzlies visit Dallas on Saturday, and Aldama should be streamed if Jackson remains sidelined.

Already playing without Ja Morant, the Grizzlies will not have Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) available for Thursday’s game. He’ll be replaced in the lineup by Aldama, who’s worth streaming in this spot. Williams will get another start for Morant, and he’s worth a look in deep leagues.

Aldama was one of the most productive Grizzlies against the Celtics on Wednesday. He finished second on the team in scoring, tied for the most rebounds and assists, and used active hands on the defensive end to collect three stocks. Inefficient shooting prevented Aldama from having an even more productive performance. Still, he finished with a solid line in the loss.

Aldama is good to go after initially being listed as questionable with a left shoulder issue that’s been a problem recently. He’ll take on his usual role off the bench, providing late-round fantasy value behind starter Jaren Jackson Jr.

Aldama dealt with a left shoulder issue in October, and it’s popping back up. If he is forced to miss Sunday’s game, GG Jackson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper could return to the rotation to make up for Aldama’s absence.

Not only did Aldama match his season-high point total on Wednesday, but he also recorded his first double-double of the season. Rostered in 41 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s providing seventh-round value in nine-cat formats. Despite coming off the bench, Aldama has value in some 12-team leagues. Memphis still has two games during Week 2, starting with the Lakers on Friday.

Aldama’s availability is more critical to the Grizzlies and fantasy managers than Williams’, as he’s guaranteed to play quality rotation minutes. Starting center Jock Landale will miss out on a potential increase in his playing time with Aldama available. As for Williams, he’s unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball, with Wednesday’s game being his first of the season.

Aldama is dealing with a sore left shoulder, hence his inclusion on the injury report. If he’s unable to play, starting center Jock Landale may play more, but he is not a must-stream player. Landale only played 24 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Warriors.

Aldama is the lone Grizzlies player on the injury report who saw action in Friday’s loss to the Heat, having tallied 13 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one three-pointer in 20 minutes. If he cannot play, starting center Jock Landale’s playing time may increase after he logged 18 minutes against Miami. P.J. Hall could also figure more prominently in the rotation, but he would be worth the risk in any fantasy league.

Zach Edey and Jaren Jackson Jr. will be sidelined to start the 2025-26 season, which means Aldama should have plenty of opportunities to contribute early in the season. He’ll be a valuable rebounder who can hit three-pointers, find teammates and occasionally put up a strong scoring total.

While Jaren Jackson Jr. (toe) was cleared to begin ramping up his activity just before the start of training camp, he’s unlikely to be ready in time for the start of the season. Add Zach Edey’s offseason ankle surgery, and the coast appears clear for Aldama to provide increased value early on. He shared the team lead in rebounds with offseason addition Jock Landale (9/7/1/1/1 with two three-pointers) while finishing a block and a three-pointer shy of a complete stat line. Aldama is worth selecting with a late-round pick, as he’ll have value even after Jackson and Edey return.

Aldama led the Spanish team in points and rebounds while chipping in some meaningful assists and defensive stats across just 24 minutes. Fantasy managers keeping an eye on his play at Eurobasket are surely encouraged. Already a strong draft selection for the 2025-26 fantasy season, Aldama’s great international play only brightens his outlook.

Aldama was held to 12 points in Thursday’s loss, and he was able to turn in a far more effective performance in Saturday’s blowout victory. Spain, who won the last EuroBasket tournament, will need Aldama to produce at a high level to have a chance to repeat as champions. He’ll look to stay hot against Cyprus on Sunday.

Aldama and the reigning champions struggled on Thursday, failing to hold their own against a more physical Georgia squad that rebounded nearly 50 percent of its missed shots. As concerning for the Memphis Grizzlies forward/center as the lack of rebounds was his shot profile, with Aldama attempting 10 of his 15 shots from beyond the arc. While starting alongside Willy Hernangomez affords Aldama more face-up opportunities, Spain will need him to be more of a force offensively if they’re to medal in this event. As for his fantasy outlook for next season, Aldama is a must-draft player, especially since Jaren Jackson Jr. (toe) and Zach Edey (ankle) are recovering from offseason surgeries. In Edey’s case, he is not expected to be fully healthy when the regular season begins in October.

With this summer’s free agency class considered lean by many, Aldama was one of the top forwards on the board. Instead of waiting for the 2021 first-round pick to sign an offer sheet with another team, the Grizzlies have reportedly been proactive and gotten a deal done. Despite only making 16 starts, Aldama enjoyed the most productive season of his NBA career in 2024-25. In 65 games, he averaged 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 25.5 minutes. While Aldama was primarily a reserve last season, Zach Edey undergoing ankle surgery earlier in June could push Santi into the starting lineup to begin the 2025-26 campaign.

Aldama was the replacement in the Grizzlies’ starting lineup for Ja Morant, who sat out with a hip contusion. The fourth-year forward played well, shooting efficiently and providing value as a rebounder. The 2024-25 season was a good one for Aldama, who had his moments after being considered little more than a late-round option in the fall. He finished just outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats, providing greater value in the latter. Aldama will be a restricted free agent this summer.
