    Injury

Santi Aldama (shoulder) is available for Sunday’s game against the Thunder.

Aldama is good to go after initially being listed as questionable with a left shoulder issue that’s been a problem recently. He’ll take on his usual role off the bench, providing late-round fantasy value behind starter Jaren Jackson Jr.

Santi Aldama (shoulder) is questionable to play against the Thunder on Sunday.

Aldama dealt with a left shoulder issue in October, and it’s popping back up. If he is forced to miss Sunday’s game, GG Jackson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper could return to the rotation to make up for Aldama’s absence.

    Recap

Santi Aldama accounted for 14 points (6-of-12 FGs), 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Suns.

Not only did Aldama match his season-high point total on Wednesday, but he also recorded his first double-double of the season. Rostered in 41 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s providing seventh-round value in nine-cat formats. Despite coming off the bench, Aldama has value in some 12-team leagues. Memphis still has two games during Week 2, starting with the Lakers on Friday.

    Injury

Santi Aldama (shoulder) and Vince Williams Jr. (ankle) are available for Wednesday’s game against the Suns.

Aldama’s availability is more critical to the Grizzlies and fantasy managers than Williams’, as he’s guaranteed to play quality rotation minutes. Starting center Jock Landale will miss out on a potential increase in his playing time with Aldama available. As for Williams, he’s unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball, with Wednesday’s game being his first of the season.

    Injury

Santi Aldama (shoulder) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Suns.

Aldama is dealing with a sore left shoulder, hence his inclusion on the injury report. If he’s unable to play, starting center Jock Landale may play more, but he is not a must-stream player. Landale only played 24 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Warriors.

Santi Aldama (knee) is available to play against the Pacers on Saturday.

Aldama was listed as questionable for the second leg of this back-to-back, but he will be good to suit up. He had 13 points and eight rebounds in the blowout loss to Miami and will look to help Memphis get back on track.

    Injury

Santi Aldama (knee) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Pacers.

Aldama is the lone Grizzlies player on the injury report who saw action in Friday’s loss to the Heat, having tallied 13 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one three-pointer in 20 minutes. If he cannot play, starting center Jock Landale’s playing time may increase after he logged 18 minutes against Miami. P.J. Hall could also figure more prominently in the rotation, but he would be worth the risk in any fantasy league.

    Recap

Santi Aldama provided 10 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and two triples across 22 minutes in Sunday’s 122-116 loss to the Hawks.

Zach Edey and Jaren Jackson Jr. will be sidelined to start the 2025-26 season, which means Aldama should have plenty of opportunities to contribute early in the season. He’ll be a valuable rebounder who can hit three-pointers, find teammates and occasionally put up a strong scoring total.

    Recap

Santi Aldama accounted for eight points (3-of-7 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in Monday’s loss to the Pistons.

While Jaren Jackson Jr. (toe) was cleared to begin ramping up his activity just before the start of training camp, he’s unlikely to be ready in time for the start of the season. Add Zach Edey’s offseason ankle surgery, and the coast appears clear for Aldama to provide increased value early on. He shared the team lead in rebounds with offseason addition Jock Landale (9/7/1/1/1 with two three-pointers) while finishing a block and a three-pointer shy of a complete stat line. Aldama is worth selecting with a late-round pick, as he’ll have value even after Jackson and Edey return.

Santi Aldama finished Tuesday’s loss to Italy with 19 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, a steal, a block and a pair of triples across 24 minutes.

Aldama led the Spanish team in points and rebounds while chipping in some meaningful assists and defensive stats across just 24 minutes. Fantasy managers keeping an eye on his play at Eurobasket are surely encouraged. Already a strong draft selection for the 2025-26 fantasy season, Aldama’s great international play only brightens his outlook.

Santi Aldama finished with 19 points (7-of-11 FGs), five rebounds and four three-pointers in an 88-67 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Aldama was held to 12 points in Thursday’s loss, and he was able to turn in a far more effective performance in Saturday’s blowout victory. Spain, who won the last EuroBasket tournament, will need Aldama to produce at a high level to have a chance to repeat as champions. He’ll look to stay hot against Cyprus on Sunday.

    Recap

Santi Aldama shot 5-of-15 from the field in Thursday’s EuroBasket loss to Georgia, scoring 12 points with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers.

Aldama and the reigning champions struggled on Thursday, failing to hold their own against a more physical Georgia squad that rebounded nearly 50 percent of its missed shots. As concerning for the Memphis Grizzlies forward/center as the lack of rebounds was his shot profile, with Aldama attempting 10 of his 15 shots from beyond the arc. While starting alongside Willy Hernangomez affords Aldama more face-up opportunities, Spain will need him to be more of a force offensively if they’re to medal in this event. As for his fantasy outlook for next season, Aldama is a must-draft player, especially since Jaren Jackson Jr. (toe) and Zach Edey (ankle) are recovering from offseason surgeries. In Edey’s case, he is not expected to be fully healthy when the regular season begins in October.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Grizzlies have signed F/C Santi Aldama to a three-year, $52.5 million deal.

With this summer’s free agency class considered lean by many, Aldama was one of the top forwards on the board. Instead of waiting for the 2021 first-round pick to sign an offer sheet with another team, the Grizzlies have reportedly been proactive and gotten a deal done. Despite only making 16 starts, Aldama enjoyed the most productive season of his NBA career in 2024-25. In 65 games, he averaged 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 25.5 minutes. While Aldama was primarily a reserve last season, Zach Edey undergoing ankle surgery earlier in June could push Santi into the starting lineup to begin the 2025-26 campaign.

Santi Aldama logged 40 minutes in Saturday’s Game 4 loss to the Thunder, accumulating 23 points (9-of-13 FGs), nine rebounds, three assists and five three-pointers.

Aldama was the replacement in the Grizzlies’ starting lineup for Ja Morant, who sat out with a hip contusion. The fourth-year forward played well, shooting efficiently and providing value as a rebounder. The 2024-25 season was a good one for Aldama, who had his moments after being considered little more than a late-round option in the fall. He finished just outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats, providing greater value in the latter. Aldama will be a restricted free agent this summer.

Scotty Pippen Jr., Desmond Bane, Santi Aldama, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Zach Edey will start Game 4 against the Thunder on Saturday.

The Grizzlies will look to keep their season alive despite not having Ja Morant, who’s out with a hip injury. Aldama is his replacement in the starting lineup, providing additional frontcourt size. In addition to Aldama’s move into the starting five, John Konchar and Luke Kennard should figure more prominently in the rotation.

Santi Aldama came off the bench and generated 10 points (4-of-11 FGs), five rebounds, and two three-pointers in the Grizzlies’ Game 2 loss to the Thunder on Tuesday.

Aldama was one of two Grizzlies reserves to score and one of four players to make two three-pointers. His 31 minutes played were the fourth-highest on the team, which could signal that he’ll be a significant part of Memphis’ game plan moving forward. The Grizzlies will look to score their first win of the series on Thursday in Memphis in Game 3.

Santi Aldama accounted for 18 points (6-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and four three-pointers in 30 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Warriors.

After scoring 21 points and recording a solid stat line in Monday’s loss to the Celtics, Aldama was also solid in Tuesday’s loss to Golden State. This was a needed two-game stretch for the fourth-year forward, who is ranked outside the top 150 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Rostered in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Aldama has been a 10th-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats this season. Unfortunately, the production dipped at the wrong time for those who have relied on him for consistent late-round value.

    Recap

Santi Aldama provided a boost off the bench with 21 points (8-of-18 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and three three-pointers against the Celtics on Monday.

Aldama has been solid all season, but the production has been quieter in recent months when compared to his early-season numbers. Monday’s performance was his highest-scoring night since February 2, which was a 23-point night in a win. That is something Memphis hasn’t done much of recently as they lost for the sixth time in their last seven games on Monday. Aldama has been a reliable reserve for them, but it’s hard to count on him for this level of production. He ranks outside the top-200 in nine-cat leagues over the past two weeks.

Santi Aldama had 16 points (6-of-10 FGs), five rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

Aldama returned from a calf injury that had kept him out since March 7 and played 27 minutes off the bench Wednesday against the Trail Blazers. The 24-year-old power forward was effective with 16 points on 10 shots. He certainly benefited from the absence of Ja Morant, who has commanded tremendous usage when available recently. Aldama is a deep league option due to his spot in the Grizzlies pecking order and the volume of players they include in the rotation, but he offers a legitimate ceiling.

Santi Aldama (calf) and Scotty Pippen Jr. (wrist) are questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

Aldama and Pippen missed Monday’s loss to the Kings, with the former having missed the Grizzlies’ last five games. The absences of Pippen and Ja Morant have led to Cam Spencer entering the rotation, but he is not worth adding in most leagues. As for Aldama, John Konchar may play a few more minutes off the bench, but he’s only worth a look for deep-league managers needing rebounds.

Aldama has missed Memphis’ last five games with a strained right calf, and that number is likely to hit six on Monday.
