Bane had a bit of an uncharacteristic game Friday against the 76ers. The 27-year-old shooting guard failed to make a three-pointer, something he hadn’t done in his last six games. Bane led the Magic in field goal attempts and points with Franz Wagner out, but it wasn’t enough to even keep the Magic in the game late in the fourth quarter. He’s provided eighth-round per game value this season. The Magic close out the week against the Pelicans on Sunday.

It was a rough night for the first-year Magic guard, who tallied as many turnovers as he did made field goals on Wednesday. His minimal contributions as a passer and rebounder were also notable on a night in which he tallied 35 minutes in an overtime game. Bane has had his share of ups and downs throughout the season, but remains more than capable of putting up big numbers on the offensive end of the floor. He’ll have a chance to bounce back on Friday against the 76ers to put up strong fantasy production.

Bane only played 24 minutes on Tuesday, as he and the other Magic starters were benched for the entire fourth quarter. The lone positive for fantasy managers who have him rostered is that Orlando has three more games in Week 12, starting with the Nets on Wednesday. Tuesday’s production would sting a lot more if Bane only had two more opportunities this week.

Bane shook off a relatively slow start to pour in 20 second-half points on 8-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three-point range. The 27-year-old scoring machine has been a little underwhelming in his Orlando debut, but he’s still delivered sixth-round fantasy value this season, averaging 19.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks through 36 games. The Magic are in line for a four-game slate next week that includes showdowns against the Wizards, Nets, 76ers and Pelicans.

Bane was forced out of Monday’s matchup with Toronto due to back spasms, but the issue won’t cause him to miss any time. Suggs will return following a six-game absence, though it’s unclear if he’ll face any restrictions in his first game back. Anthony Black has been phenomenal, and he should retain standalone value even if he heads back to the bench in favor of Suggs. Tyus Jones will see the biggest reduction in playing time with Suggs back in action.

Due to back spasms, Bane had to leave Monday’s loss to the Raptors briefly before returning. He still played 30 minutes in Toronto. If Bane cannot play on Wednesday, Jase Richardson’s playing time would likely increase. He would only be worth the streaming risk if allowed to start.

Bane capped off a stellar 15-point fourth quarter performance by knocking down a pair of clutch free throws with seven seconds left in regulation to put Orlando ahead for good in a back-and-forth slugfest. The 27-year-old guard has been hot-and-cold from a scoring standpoint in his Magic debut but he’s eclipsed 20 points in four of his last five games.

Bane came up big in the second half of this game, with 17 of his 23 points coming after the halftime break. It was a well-rounded outing for him with a season-best six “stocks” to go with a strong offensive performance. Bane’s past the slow start, and he has helped keep Orlando afloat with Franz Wagner (ankle) and Jalen Suggs (hip) sidelined. He’ll look to keep it up against the Hornets on Friday.

After dropping 32 points in Saturday’s win over the Jazz, Bane followed up that performance with another solid effort on Monday. This is the fourth time this season that the Magic guard has scored at least 20 points in consecutive games. And over the last two weeks, Bane has been a third-round player in eight-cat formats. With Franz Wagner (ankle) and Jalen Suggs (hip) out, there has been an even greater need for Bane’s scoring, and his fantasy value has increased. Orlando concludes its road trip in Portland on Tuesday.

Trailing by one with four seconds left in overtime, the Magic inbounded the ball to Wendell Carter Jr. who quickly got the ball to Bane for a game-winner from the midrange. The 27-year-old shooting guard carried the Magic to the victory with a game-high 32 points. Orlando has four games in Week 10, starting with a matchup against the Warriors on Monday.

After dropping 37 points on the Heat to reach Saturday’s NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas, Bane was held in check by the Knicks. The good news for fantasy managers is that his field-goal percentage didn’t take a severe hit, and Bane also provided solid value in the rebound and assist categories. Unfortunately for those who have him rostered, Bane and the Magic won’t play their first Week 9 game until Thursday, as part of a two-game week.

After a few rough outings, Bane came up big to help the Magic advance to the NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas. Bane joked after the game that he just lost $35,000 (courtesy of him throwing a ball at OG Anunoby), and that he’s “gotta go get it back somehow.” Orlando just lost Franz Wagner (ankle) to what is expected to be a multi-week absence. Bane figured things out after a slow start to the season when Paolo Banchero missed time, and now Bane will get the opportunity to gel with Banchero with Wagner sidelined. While Bane has shown on multiple occasions that he can still be as productive as he was in Memphis, it hasn’t happened consistently when this team is healthy. For now, he’ll look to help the Magic win the NBA Cup by taking on more responsibility on offense, which is a great thing for fantasy managers.

After back-to-back 37-point outings, Bane cooled off on Wednesday. However, he still dished out six assists, and he has recorded at least five in seven of his last eight games. Over the past two weeks, Bane has provided fourth-round value in eight-cat formats. While he has been more aggressive in looking for his shot, especially since Paolo Banchero’s groin injury, Bane has not neglected setting up others, which has boosted his fantasy value.

After scoring a season-high 37 points in Friday’s win over the Pistons, Bane matched that total on Monday. He was a bit too deferential to begin his first season with the Magic, but that hasn’t been the case recently, especially after Orlando lost Paolo Banchero to a strained groin. Since the November 12 win over the Knicks, Bane has averaged 24.1 points per game on 47.1 percent shooting from the field and 96.4 percent from the foul line. He has been a top-25 player with Banchero out, which has been great for fantasy managers who have him on their rosters.

Interestingly, while Bane scored a season-high 37 points, he did not make a single three-pointer. The Magic guard missed all five of his attempts, but he shot 65 percent from inside the arc and was a frequent visitor to the foul line. All that was missing from Bane’s stat line was a three-pointer, and the overall production compensated for that. Over the past two weeks, he has been close to a top-25 player in nine-cat formats, rebounding from a slow start to the season. Orlando, which advanced to the NBA Cup quarterfinals with Friday’s victory, won’t play again this week. But the Magic have four games during Week 7.

After a slow start to the season, Bane continues to make his way up the rankings. Over the past two weeks, he has provided top-50 value in nine-cat formats, and the season-long value is approaching top-100 status. Bane has recorded at least five assists in five straight games, and the improved production in that category is one reason why his overall fantasy value has improved.

Bane was asked to shoulder an astronomical scoring workload once again on the second night of a back-to-back with superstar Paolo Banchero (groin) sidelined for the sixth straight contest. He wasn’t able to take advantage of Boston’s defensive issues in this one as he took just 13 shots before sitting out most of the second half after Orlando fell behind by nearly 30 points.

Bane and teammate Franz Wagner formed a devastating one-two punch early, combining for 38 first-half points and ultimately accounting for nearly half (64) of Orlando’s 133-point explosion. The only thing missing for Bane right now is his trademark three-point accuracy — he’s at 33.7 percent through 17 games in his Magic debut — but that feels more like a temporary glitch than a new reality for a sharpshooter who’s lived around 40 percent from deep his entire career.

Bane didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, going 2-for-9 from inside the arc. However, fantasy managers who have the Magic guard rostered received solid value in the rebound and assist categories. Over the past two weeks, Bane has been ranked just outside the top-50 in eight-cat formats, so progress is being made after a slow start to his first season in Orlando. The Magic finish Week 5 with games against the Knicks and Celtics on Saturday and Sunday.

It was a slow start to the year for Bane, but he has been on fire recently. He’s scored at least 20 points in five of his last seven games and his at least two triples in four straight games. Paolo Banchero (groin) is still sidelined, which has forced Bane into a larger opportunity. That has certainly helped him turn his season around. He also set a new season-high for steals, though that isn’t going to be a category he contributes in consistently.

Bane’s game-winning three-pointer against Portland on November 10 may have provided the spark he needed after starting the season slowly. He’s scored 19 points or more in four straight, and 22 or more in three of those outings. Bane finished Sunday’s overtime loss with a complete stat line, and he’s attempted 38 shots in the two games Orlando has played without Paolo Banchero (groin). The “buy low” period for Bane has likely come to an end. The Magic play four games during Week 5, starting with the Warriors on Tuesday.

Bane entered this game having scored exactly 22 points in three of his last four games, and while he wasn’t able to match that mark again, he was still able to have a solid night. What is even more encouraging is that he continues to play big minutes and get plenty of shots. His 18 shots matched his second-most attempts in a game this season, and his 40 minutes were a season-best. Especially if Paolo Banchero (groin) remains out, Bane will continue to play a larger role on offense, which should help him get back to producing how he did in Memphis.

At this rate, Bane’s game-winning shot against Portland on Monday may be what fantasy managers look back on as the turning point in his season. Two nights removed from that much-needed event, Bane scored another 22 points on Wednesday while also dishing out eight assists. Over the past week, he has been a sixth-round player in nine-cat formats. While that doesn’t align with his Yahoo! ADP (45), Bane is headed in the right direction.

In a tie game with 1.9 seconds left in regulation, Bane hit a buzzer-beater from behind the three-point line to give the Magic the win. The 27-year-old shooting guard struggled from long range in this game as he was just 1-of-6 from behind the arc. Bane has still managed to have 22 points and seven assists in two of his last three games. The Magic have three more games this week, starting with a matchup with the Knicks on Wednesday.

After scoring 24 points in an October 27 loss to the 76ers, Bane fell into a four-game funk in which he averaged 8.8 points on 31.6 percent shooting. His ejection during the third quarter of Tuesday’s loss to the Hawks may have been the low point, and the Magic guard rebounded nicely on Friday. Bane established a season-high point total while equaling his previous high in assists. As he gets more comfortable with the new system and teammates, look for Bane to have more nights like Friday than Tuesday.

Bane was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul for pulling down Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu as he was going up for a layup. The following action of swatting the ball down onto a prone Okongwu was what prompted the technical foul, leading to Bane’s ejection. Bane finished with nine points (2-of-6 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), one rebound, two assists, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in 23 minutes.

Bane got off to a sluggish start but caught fire in the second half to finish with 24 points before fouling out with just over two minutes left in the game. The 27-year-old has struggled from three-point range in an extremely small sample size at the outset of his Orlando debut, but has still scored at least 14 points in all four contests. It feels like only a matter of time before he start to capitalize on the wide open looks Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner’s playmaking should generate.

Bane, who was acquired in an offseason trade from the Grizzlies, fit right in during his Magic debut against the Heat on Wednesday. The 27-year-old shooting guard provided some much needed shooting as he knocked down three three-points and all six of his free throw attempts. Bane had 23 points while Paolo Banchero had 24 and Franz Wagner also had 24. Orlando’s Big 3 will be fun to watch all season long and fantasy managers would be happy if that even scoring distribution remained.

After spending the first five seasons of his career in Memphis, Bane was dealt to the Magic this summer, and this was his first opportunity to suit up for them. He only played 13 minutes like most of the other starters, but he’ll continue to be an excellent fantasy option despite the change of scenery, and he’ll provide Orlando with the best spacing they’ve had in a while.

The Magic have long needed an upgrade at the shooting guard position, and they’ve taken a significant swing at addressing the issue with Sunday’s reported trade. In 69 games this season, he averaged 19.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.4 three-pointers, shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 89.4 percent from the foul line. Bane has been one of the best shooting guards in the NBA over the last three seasons, due to the ability to both knock down perimeter shots and defend his position. Given the state of the Eastern Conference, Orlando’s decision to make this move is understandable, as it significantly improves the starting lineup.
