Brunson and the Knicks have lost five of their last six, and he has just one 30-point game during this stretch. While his percentages against the Suns were good, the point guard finished with one less turnover (four) than assists (five). Over the past two weeks, he has offered fourth-round per-game value in eight-cat formats. While that doesn’t align with Brunson’s Yahoo! ADP, his drop has not been as sharp as a few other Knicks during this 1-5 stretch.

After arguably his most inefficient game of the season in Monday’s blowout loss to the Pistons, Brunson bounced back nicely against the Clippers. In addition to shooting 75 percent from the field, the Knicks’ guard committed just two turnovers. All five starters attempted at least ten shots, and Brunson still led the way in scoring. Wednesday’s effort was the blueprint that the Knicks need to follow, even if that leads to a slight decrease in Brunson’s scoring output.

Brunson got his 25 points by being aggressive with 21 shot attempts. The 29-year-old struggled to set up his teammates in the disastrous 31-point loss in Detroit, though. Brunson had zero assists and six turnovers against a swarming Pistons defense, which can crush his value in certain formats. The Knicks will be at home for an easier matchup against the Clippers on Wednesday.

While he was more efficient on Saturday than in Friday’s loss to the Hawks, Brunson did not have an easy time getting his points against VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey. Over the past two weeks, the point guard has offered third-round per-game value in eight-cat formats, sitting just outside the top-25. Another challenging matchup awaits Brunson and the Knicks, as they open a four-game Week 12 in Detroit on Monday.

Brunson led all scorers with 24 points, but he needed 24 shots to get it done. The Knicks’ guard was 1-of-10 from beyond the arc, with New York shooting 9-of-44 as a team. While the Hawks deserve credit for their defensive effort, Friday was a reminder of Karl-Anthony Towns’ importance, as he was out due to illness. Brunson and the Knicks will look to bounce back when they host the 76ers on Saturday.

The Knicks were 19-0 when leading entering the fourth quarter entering play Wednesday. New York couldn’t hold a nine-point lead against the Spurs, losing 134-132. The final score was closer than it maybe should’ve been, thanks to two threes from Brunson in the game’s last 30 seconds. The Knicks return home Friday for the first game of a back-to-back against the Hawks.

Brunson finished with his fifth double-double of the season and first since December 2. And, as usual, “Captain Clutch” came up big for the Knicks down the stretch. Brunson shot 4-of-5 from the field in the fourth quarter, including a floater with just over a minute remaining that extended New York’s lead to three. The Knicks still have three games to play in Week 11, starting with the Spurs on Wednesday in the final game of their road trip.

Counting Saturday’s performance, Brunson has scored at least 34 points in three straight games. The Hawks struggled to find an answer for the Knicks’ point guard, but they aren’t the first time (or the last) to have that happen. Over the past two weeks, Brunson has provided second-round value in eight-cat formats, aligning with his Yahoo! ADP (22). It would be unsurprising if he had another big night on Monday against the Pelicans, especially if New Orleans doesn’t have Herb Jones.

Brusnon and the Knicks got off to a brutally slow start on Christmas Day, making just two of their first 15 shot attempts. New York would get off the mat during the second and fourth quarters, but it was the bench that sparked the rallies as opposed to Brunson. The captain finished with his 15th game of 30 points or more, so all wasn’t lost for those who have him rostered. And individual plus/minus, which can be a flawed stat to begin with, is not a scoring category in fantasy leagues.

Brunson and Anunoby are back after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Timberwolves. Their returns push Tyler Kolek and Mitchell Robinson to the bench, lowering the fantasy ceiling of the former. As for Robinson, coming off the bench may be better for him given the injury history.

Brunson will be back in action following Tuesday’s absence, and he should handle his typical workload. Tyler Kolek played well on Tuesday in his first career start, but he’ll head back to the bench in favor of New York’s usual starting PG. Brunson is fresh off a tremendous, 47-point performance in Sunday’s win over Miami, and he’ll look to build on that momentum on the national stage for the Christmas Day slate.

With both guards and Landry Shamet (shoulder) sidelined, Tyler Kolek and Jordan Clarkson should be in line for big minutes in the backcourt. Kolek has averaged 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists across 19.8 minutes over his last four games.

Brunson was rolling from the start on Sunday, scoring 27 points in the first half. The Heat couldn’t come up with an answer for the Knicks guard after the break either. His 47 points were a season-high and the most he’s scored in a game at Madison Square Garden. Brunson and the Knicks now have a friendlier week from a scheduling standpoint, as they play three games in Week 10 without a back-to-back.

Brunson was one of three Knicks to score at least 21 points on Friday, but his percentages may have been evidence of some fatigue. Of course, Philadelphia’s VJ Edgecombe deserves credit for his work on defense, but Brunson’s shooting 1-of-7 from three was not the norm for him. And he’ll have one more game to navigate during Week 9, with the Knicks hosting the Heat on Sunday.

Brunson and the Knicks, who were without Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson, were sluggish to begin Thursday’s game. Given Tuesday’s NBA Cup final, that was understandable. But the Knicks received key contributions from the bench, and in the end, it was Brunson who delivered the win. His three-pointer with 4.4 seconds remaining was the difference as New York extended its win streak to six games. Hopefully, Brunson will be available for Friday’s game against the 76ers, but league schedule-makers did not do their teams any favors by scheduling back-to-backs this soon out of the NBA Cup.

Brunson didn’t light it up, but he got there on volume with 25 points on 27 field goal attempts. He uncharacteristically only attempted four free throws. The Knicks had excellent point guard play off the bench in this one as Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek combined for 29 points off the bench. Brunson and the Knicks will be back in action on the road against the Pacers on Thursday.

The Knicks and Magic have met four times this season, and Brunson has scored at least 30 points in all four. The star point guard scored 25 points in the first half on Saturday, and Orlando could not come up with an answer for him defensively. Brunson has 88 30-point games in his Knicks career, with Saturday’s effort pushing past Richie Guerin into third on the franchise’s all-time list. Tuesday’s NBA Cup final against Oklahoma City or San Antonio will not count toward official stats or fantasy basketball, but the Knicks play three games in Week 9, starting on Thursday.

Brunson took over this game early, and he entered halftime with 26 points. He wasn’t as dominant in the second half, but he did enough to help the Knicks advance to the semifinals of the NBA Cup. This was Brunson’s third straight game with at least 30 points, and he’ll look to keep that going against the Magic in Las Vegas on Saturday, with a chance to advance to the NBA Cup championship on Monday.

Brunson hit 10-of-23 shots from the floor and managed to convert only one of his seven three-point attempts. His 9-of-12 mark from the charity stripe, however, buoyed his scoring. New York’s superstar guard has now scored at least 30 points in consecutive games and reached that mark 11 times in 21 outings.

Brunson absolutely destroyed the Jazz defense in every way in Friday night’s game. The 29-year-old point guard dropped 33 points on his way to a +37 in 31 minutes. Brunson made six three-pointers and knocked down all nine of his free throw attempts. The Knicks have another game against the Magic on Sunday to close out Week 7.

Coming off his worst performance of the season, Brunson rebounded nicely on Wednesday. Given his play since arriving in New York and Charlotte’s porous defense, that was unsurprising. Friday’s matchup with the Jazz is another opportunity for Brunson to put up a gaudy stat line; while Utah has been competitive on most nights, they’re ranked 29th in points allowed per game and 27th in defensive rating.

While he matched his season-high with 11 assists, Brunson had his worst scoring game of the season on Tuesday. The 15 points were a season low, and the Knicks’ point guard had not shot below 30 percent from the field since the season-opening win over Cleveland. Boston did a good job of making Brunson uncomfortable offensively, and his off night was too much to overcome in the end. He’ll look to rebound when the Knicks host the Hornets on Wednesday.

Brunson has consistently tormented the Bucks, averaging 36 points per game since joining the Knicks. With that in mind, Friday’s performance should have been expected from the point guard, who led New York to the top spot in East Group C and a place in the NBA Cup quarterfinals. He’s scored at least 33 points in three of his last four games and has been close to a top-25 player in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past week. The Knicks host the Raptors, who they’ll visit in the NBA Cup quarterfinals, on Sunday in a non-Cup matchup.

Needing a comfortable victory to increase their chances of advancing to the NBA Cup quarterfinals, Brunson and the Knicks beat Charlotte by a 129-101 margin. The captain has scored at least 27 points in all four games he’s played since returning from an ankle injury, including two games with 33. During this stretch, Brunson has provided top-40 value in nine-cat formats, which aligns with his season-long production. The Knicks can clinch the top spot in East Group C with a win over the Bucks on Friday.

While his overall stat line may have been pedestrian by his standards, Brunson took advantage of a subpar opponent to produce an efficient scoring night. He shot over 50 percent from the field and has tallied at least 27 points in five straight games. Over the past two weeks, Brunson has been a top-25 player in nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. With games against the Hornets and Bucks to end Week 6, he’s capable of pushing his season-long value into the top-25.

Brunson — who ranks tied for 10th in the NBA at 28.4 points per game this season — came out blazing hot, knocking down eight of his first 13 shots and piling up a game-high 23 points by halftime. He managed just eight attempts after the break as Orlando seized control late in the third quarter and never let New York back into it. He’ll carry the momentum into a tasty matchup on Monday against the defensively-challenged Nets as the Knicks kick off a four-game week.

Back in the Knicks’ lineup after missing two games with a sprained ankle, Brunson made up for lost time with a solid effort to help New York pick up its first road win of the season. The foul shooting was a bit off, but the overall line will undoubtedly please those who have Brunson rostered. Just as encouraging is that he played 35 minutes without any flare-ups. Miles McBride returned to the bench on Wednesday, finishing with 11 points, two assists, two blocks and three three-pointers. With Brunson available, McBride isn’t worth holding onto in most fantasy leagues.

Brunson is back in the lineup after a two-game absence, giving the Knicks a welcome boost on the offensive end of the floor. His return means Miles McBride will come off the bench, which considerably lowers his fantasy ceiling. New York’s other four starters are unchanged, with Shamet continuing to fill in for the injured OG Anunoby.

This isn’t a guarantee that Brunson will play, but after being listed as questionable, this is a positive sign. Brunson has missed the Knicks’ last two games, which has allowed Miles McBride to fill in as a starter. If Brunson is back, McBride will return to play his typical role off the bench.

Injured during a November 12 loss to the Magic, Brunson has missed New York’s last two games. However, he did go through a workout before Monday’s loss to the Heat and may be available on Wednesday. Miles McBride has started the last two games and played well enough to be streamed if Brunson remains out.
