Friday’s win over the Pelicans secured the No. 2 seed for the Celtics, giving them nothing to play for in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Brown and Tatum not playing frees up playing time for Baylor Scheierman, Jordan Walsh, Hugo González and recent signing Dalano Banton.

Brown had 23 points, but didn’t make much of an impact in any of the other categories and also had seven turnovers. It wasn’t the best return game for the 29-year-old shooting guard after missing Thursday’s loss to the Knicks with an Achilles injury. Brown would seem to be a potential candidate to sit out in the Celtics’ regular season finale against the Magic on Sunday.

Brown missed Thursday’s loss to the Knicks, but he’s set to return after a one-game absence. With the 29-year-old small forward returning to the starting lineup, Jordan Walsh will head back to the bench.

Brown sat out Thursday’s loss to the Knicks, but he’s got a chance to return for the second leg of the Celtics’ back-to-back set. Expect him to handle his typical workload if he’s given the green light.

While Brown was present at pregame shootaround, the Celtics’ star did not participate. He’s now officially out, which could result in Jordan Walsh or Hugo González moving into the starting lineup.

Thursday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Celtics, who are one win away from locking up the two-seed for the Eastern Conference playoffs. While White sitting would likely push Payton Pritchard into the starting lineup, Jordan Walsh and Hugo González would have more prominent roles if Brown can’t play.

Brown led the Celtics with 35 points in the win over the Hornets on Tuesday. The 29-year-old small forward played much of the season without Jayson Tatum due to an Achilles injury, which went as expected with Brown’s volume increasing as well as his turnovers. He had another five turnovers on Tuesday. It’s the turnovers that have led to him providing sixth-round per game value this year and not paying off his ADP. Brown will be in position to bounce back next year with he and Tatum presumably healthy entering the season.

Brown has scored at least 26 points in each of his last nine games. And the production has remained excellent since Jayson Tatum’s return. Over the last month, Brown has averaged 28.3 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field. While the Pistons will go into the playoffs as the top seed in the East, there won’t be a shortage of pundits who label the Celtics the favorites to win the conference. Brown, who has played at an elite level all season, is one of the reasons why.

Brown put up 26 points on Friday, and the Celtics may be enthused by the fact that they were able to lessen his workload. The 30 minutes he played were the fewest in a game for the MVP candidate since March 10, when an ejection limited him to 14 minutes in a loss to the Spurs. Brown still provided solid value against the Bucks, and he’ll have another game to play in Week 23 on Sunday against the Raptors.

Brown and the Celtics put on a show in the first quarter of Wednesday’s victory. As a team, Boston scored 53 points in the frame, with Brown putting up 20. He finished with 43, his seventh game this season with 40 or more. The Celtics end Week 23 with games against the Bucks and Raptors, two more opportunities for Brown to put up a gaudy stat line. While his name has not been mentioned as much as some other players in connection with the MVP award, Brown should be first-team All-NBA.

Monday’s performance from Brown was not his most efficient, as he finished with low percentages and six turnovers. However, the Celtics’ star finished one assist shy of a triple-double, which would have been his fourth of the season. Brown and the other Celtics will receive a welcome boost on Wednesday when Jayson Tatum returns after taking an injury management night in Atlanta.

No surprises here after Brown and White sat out the first leg of Boston’s back-to-back set. Brown and White should reclaim their spots in the starting lineup which will mean less run for Baylor Scheierman and Payton Pritchard.

Brown will miss a second consecutive game due to left Achilles tendinitis. Baylor Scheierman started Friday’s win over the Hawks, finishing with three points, six rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer. The second-year guard’s production was underwhelming, but he has consistently been the replacement in the starting lineup when either Brown or Jayson Tatum is unavailable.

Brown did not play in Friday’s win over the Hawks, with Baylor Scheierman moving into the starting lineup. Another start could be in the card for Scheierman at some point, as the Celtics play on Sunday and Monday. As for White, he’s dealing with a knee contusion, with Payton Pritchard being the lineup replacement if White is unable to play.

Brown was listed as questionable with a calf injury on Thursday, but Friday’s injury report indicates he’s dealing with left Achilles tendonitis. Brown’s absence paves the way for Baylor Scheierman to see additional run, while Payton Pritchard could take on more responsibilities on offense.

Brown, who logged 39 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Thunder, is dealing with right calf tightness. If he can’t play on Friday, Baylor Scheierman could be tabbed to make a spot start. Under those circumstances, the second-year wing would be worth streaming in deep leagues.

Playing against the reigning league MVP, Brown put forth an excellent showing in Wednesday’s victory. He’s scored 30 points or more in four of his last five, with a 29-point effort against the Timberwolves being the exception. Brown was responsible for five turnovers, but the overall production was good enough to compensate for that in most fantasy leagues. The Celtics play two more games in Week 22, starting with the Hawks on Friday.

The good news for fantasy managers is that Brown put up a high point total. However, he was made to work for everything by the Timberwolves, and category league managers in tight battles may be in trouble based on the field-goal percentage. Over the past two weeks, Brown has shot 44.4 percent from the field, more than three percentage points lower than his mark for the season of 47.7 percent. The Celtics play three games in Week 22, starting with the Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Brown is dealing with a left quad contusion, but the good news for the Celtics and for fantasy managers is that he’s probable for Sunday’s game. If he’s unable to go, Baylor Scheierman is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup.

On a night when Jayson Tatum (13 points, nine rebounds and two three-pointers) shot 3-of-15 from the field, Brown picked up the slack in Memphis. The Celtics’ wing has scored at least 30 points in three straight and four of his last five games. Since the All-Star break, Brown has provided first-round value in eight-cat formats. The Celtics return home for their final game of Week 21, Sunday against the Timberwolves.

Brown and the Celtics grabbed control of Wednesday’s game early and never looked back, going on to win by a 120-99 final score. He recorded his 31st 30-point game of the season and did so while recording excellent percentages from the field and the foul line. The lone issue, at least for managers in nine-cat leagues, was the five turnovers. The Celtics play two more games in Week 21, starting with the Grizzlies on Friday.

Brown went for more than 30 points for the second time in the past three games, using an 18-point fourth-quarter explosion to help lead Boston to victory. The one-time Finals MVP shot the ball efficiently throughout the night and got lots of scoring production from the free-throw line along the way. Brown also tied for team highs in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots on the evening to land one of his better all-around performances of March. He’ll look to stay hot on Wednesday against the Warriors.

In his first appearance after being ejected from Tuesday’s game against the Spurs, Brown logged perhaps his best stat line of March. In the loss, he hit the 30-point mark for the first time since February 22, which was also the last time before Thursday that he got up at least 25 shot attempts. Brown’s aggressiveness was needed while playing without Jayson Tatum against a very tough Thunder defense. He did commit six turnovers and shot somewhat inefficiently, but was otherwise productive.

Brown picked up two quick technical fouls for arguing a no-call that resulted in him turning the ball over. Baylor Scheierman and Hugo Gonzalez should take on extra minutes in the second half in place of Brown.

Brown produced another excellent effort on Sunday, finishing one rebound and two assists shy of a triple-double. The Celtics’ wing has seemingly taken a more measured approach in the team’s last two games as Jayson Tatum gets acclimated after missing ten months with a ruptured Achilles tendon. However, that approach has not negatively affected Brown’s output, which has been a positive development for fantasy managers. The Celtics play three games in Week 20, starting with the Spurs on Tuesday.

With Jayston Tatum making his season debut on Friday, the entire Celtics rotation had to work through some things early on. Brown and the other starters may have been a bit too deferential early on, but everyone got more comfortable as the game progressed. Brown finished with a team-high 24 points while shooting over 50 percent from the field and recording an excellent all-around stat line. While he played at an MVP level while Tatum was out, getting his partner in crime back could give Brown’s efficiency a boost.

Brown finished Wednesday’s defeat with his 13th double-double of the season, more than double his total in 2024-25 (five). However, he was unable to help Boston overcome its 38 percent shooting from the field, as the Hornets won 118-89. Given how well Brown has played overall, it would be unsurprising if he rebounded in a big way when the Celtics host the Mavericks on Friday.

Brown missed Monday’s game against the Bucks, which allowed rookie Hugo González to start in his place. González played well, finishing with 18 points and 16 rebounds, though he will likely head back to the bench with Brown available, eliminating the streaming value he held.
