After scoring 12 points in each of Indiana’s first two games out of the All-Star break, Brown put up 15 against the Mavericks. Add in the rebounds, three-pointers and percentages, and Sunday’s performance was a good one for the former Clipper. Brown hasn’t reached the point where he’s a must-roster player for the silly season, but the potential is there, especially on nights when the Pacers don’t have Pascal Siakam.

While Ivica Zubac will have to wait until after the All-Star break to make his Pacers debut, Brown was part of the team’s bench rotation on Tuesday. The 2023 first-round pick will be an add-on as part of the trade that was centered around Ivica Zubac being sent to Indiana. Brown was only playing 8.7 minutes per game for the Clippers this year, but with the Pacers now needing to finish with a top-four pick to avoid sending it to the Clippers, Brown should get an opportunity to play big minutes as the team tanks.
