Barrett continues his excellent start to the season, having scored at least 19 points in seven of nine games played. He’s shooting over 54 percent from the field thus far and providing fifth-round value in nine-cat formats, exceeding his Yahoo! ADP (96). The lone negative for Barrett so far has been the foul line, where he’s shooting 74.3 percent. Punt that category, and his fantasy value improves by two rounds. Can he sustain this production? Given the career numbers, that may not be easy to do, and some managers may look to sell high as a result.

Barrett poured in a -high 15 points in the first half as Toronto raced out to a commanding 73-54 lead at the half. He knocked down three of six from distance as Toronto shot 46 percent (12-of-26) from beyond the arc in the first half. He finished with four treys and eclipsed 20 points for the sixth time in eight games to open the season. He’s performed at a fifth-round level in the early stages of the fantasy season, averaging just under 21 points per game along with five rebounds and three assists.

Despite a rough shooting night from beyond the arc, Barrett still finished as the game’s leading scorer on Sunday — high volume helped him nearly produce 30 points, as did contributions from the charity stripe. Yet, the seventh-year wing got his teammates involved along the way and recorded a season high in assists in the win. Barrett’s start to the season has yielded similar statistics to those of last year in Toronto, which suggests he should be able to maintain his current level of production throughout the year.

Barrett has gotten off to a dominant start to this season. Through four games, he’s averaging 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 three-pointers per game while shooting 61.8 percent from the floor. Knowing his career-best field goal percentage in a season is 49.5 percent, and that was an outlier when compared to his other seasons, he’ll certainly cool off as the season progresses. Still, this has been a fantastic start for him, and he’ll look to keep it going against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Rarely a positive fantasy asset during his NBA career, Barrett was excellent in Wednesday’s season opener. He shot 75 percent from the field, made all five of his free throws and provided solid value across the board. Barrett’s track record means more evidence will be required to believe in him as a fantasy asset. However, Wednesday’s performance was excellent. If Barrett can build on this performance, the high ADP will be justified.

Barrett performed well in Toronto’s preseason opener in Vancouver. He played an efficient brand of basketball, whether he was looking for his shot or facilitating. The issue for Barrett in fantasy basketball is how much he will have the ball in his hands. Immanuel Quickley, Brandon Ingram, and Scottie Barnes will all require opportunities to make plays, which may limit Barrett’s ceiling. Also, he’s never been a great option in category leagues, failing to crack the top-150 in any of his first six NBA seasons. As of Monday evening, Barrett boasted a Yahoo! ADP of 82.4, which is too high given the track record.

Barrett will sit out Sunday’s season finale for rest reasons, while Walter’s absence is due to a tight right hip flexor. Ochai Agbaji and Jamison Battle started Friday’s loss in Dallas and should retain those roles in San Antonio. Barrett has long been a better option in points leagues than category leagues, but he did make some strides in the former this season, providing 12th-round value in eight-cat formats. However, the addition of Brandon Ingram at the trade deadline does not bode well for Barrett’s fantasy prospects in 2025-26. The same can be said for Walter, as injuries limited the first-round pick to 52 appearances as a rookie. While Barrett can be selected with a late-round pick in standard drafts, Walter should be left alone in redraft leagues.

After sitting out on Friday, both Barrett and Agbaji will be back in the lineup. Barrett will replace Jamison Battle in the starting unit, while Agbaji’s return will take away minutes from AJ Lawson and Jared Rhoden. The cyclical rest days should continue for Barrett and Agbaji for the rest of the season.

No surprises here, as Toronto has alternated rest days for many of its starters since the All-Star break. The Raptors played Thursday, so Barrett and Agbaji will sit out the second leg of the back-to-back set. In their absence, Ja’Kobe Walter and Jamison Battle should earn some extra minutes.

Barrett was back after getting a rest night against Chicago on Tuesday, and based on recent trends, he will likely get another one against the Pistons on Friday. However, while available against Portland, Barrett was able to have a productive night in the loss. He typically hasn’t been productive on the defensive end, but his four total defensive stats in this game were a new season-high for him, and his three steals were the most he has had in a game since before the All-Star break. However, managers shouldn’t expect this to be the new norm for Barrett.

Barrett and Agbaji will be available after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Bulls. The former will be in the starting lineup, likely pushing Jamison Battle to the bench. Battle is not worth holding onto in most leagues. While Agbaji will likely be a reserve, he should get the minutes needed to potentially impact deeper fantasy leagues.

Barrett and Agbaji are set to rest again Tuesday just as they did last Friday. Ja’Kobe Walter should be in the starting while AJ Lawson and Jamison Battle also stand to see additional minutes.

Barrett scored at least 30 points eight times before Sunday, and each of them came prior to the new year. The scoring total was his highest since December 16. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect totals like this every night, especially while the Raptors rest Barrett nearly every other game.

Barrett and Agbaji are available after sitting out Friday’s win over the Hornets for rest reasons. Toronto will be without Immanuel Quickley and Jakob Poeltl, forcing additional changes to the team’s starting lineup. Barrett and Agbaji should be among the five who begin Sunday’s game on the court.

Despite not having a back-to-back to manage, the Raptors have decided to rest Barrett and Agbaji for Friday’s game. The former’s absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup, which Immanuel Quickley could fill since he is not on the injury report. That would keep Ja’Kobe Walter in the starring five, maintaining his fantasy ceiling. Also, AJ Lawson and Jamison Battle may see their playing time increase, but Walter offers a higher upside if he continues to start.

Barrett has only been available for three of the Raptors’ last eight games. So, while he has reached double figures in all but one game he’s appeared in this season, the availability has done fantasy managers no favors. And with the Raptors essentially playing out the string, that may remain an issue between now and the end of the season. Barrett shouldn’t be dropped in standard leagues, but shallow-league managers should watch for alternatives.

Toronto will be down a number of key players, but Barrett and Scottie Barnes will be available and presumably lead the charge against an equally shorthanded Nets squad. Expect Barrett and Barnes to handle their typical workloads in this matchup of tank-worthy proportions.

Barrett was held out last Thursday against the Warriors, but returned to play 30 minutes against the Spurs Sunday. With the Raptors playing the second leg of a back-to-back Monday and four games on tap this week, the 24-year-old small forward will get another rest day against the Wizards. Immanuel Quickley, who also sat out Sunday, will move back into the starting lineup.

Barrett returned to the Raptors’ lineup on Sunday after missing three games. While he recorded solid numbers in the points and rebound categories, RJ was responsible for six turnovers. However, Barrett’s availability and the Raptors’ schedule are more concerning for fantasy managers going forward. Toronto will play four games during Week 21, the first on Monday in Washington. He may be limited to three games for injury management reasons.

After sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Warriors, Barrett is not on the injury report. His return will likely push Ochai Agbaji to the bench, with Jamal Shead stepping in for the resting Immanuel Quickley. While Abgaji possesses a lower fantasy ceiling when coming off the bench, he will still play plenty.

Barrett has missed three of the last four games for personal reasons and an illness. The 24-year-old small forward will get the night off Thursday for rest. Immanuel Quickley will likely move back into the starting lineup as he’s off the injury report, but AJ Lawson should also see increased opportunities off the bench in Barrett’s absence.

Barrett will join Immanuel Quickley (rest) on the sidelines, so the Raptors will be without their starting backcourt on Sunday. AJ Lawson could move into the starting lineup, raising his fantasy ceiling, but he is not a must-stream player in this spot.

Both players were out against Philadelphia on Wednesday but will be back against the Jazz. Jakob Poeltl will be getting the rest night against Utah, but it is worth noting that Poeltl only played 17 minutes despite being available on Wednesday. It wouldn’t be surprising if Quickley and Barrett received the same treatment. Still, they should be part of the starting lineup, which would likely push Jamal Shead and Jamison Battle to the bench.

Barrett sat out last Friday with rest as the Raptors are looking ahead to this year’s draft. The 24-year-old small forward was back on the floor Monday and finished just two assists shy of a triple-double. Barrett wasn’t efficient on offense, but he still created well for his teammates. He played just 27 minutes against the Wizards. Going forward, the Raptors could elect to pull Barrett late in games when he’s available, which is a concerning development for fantasy managers.

Toronto has made it clear that they’re looking to improve their lottery odds, and Friday’s matchup against a fellow tanking team is an important matchup. Barrett and Poeltl should be back in the lineup against Washington on Saturday, though they are also fighting for the best lottery odds, which could mean shortened nights for the pair. Orlando Robinson should start at center, while Jared Rhoden and AJ Lawson are candidates to start in place of Barrett.

The two game series in Orlando between these teams featured two eerily similar games. Barrett scored 20 points while shooting at least 50 percent from the field in both, and Toronto won two games that came down to the wire. That seemed to work against what they wanted to happen, as Barrett was among the starters that were pulled from the game late to try and help the Raptors improve their lottery odds. It didn’t work, which is a bit concerning for managers that have Barrett rostered. Hopefully he’ll continue to suit up, but managers should keep a close eye on the injury report.

Barrett remains a superior option in eight-cat formats than nine-cat, and Sunday was a prime example of why. He shot the ball well and recorded a solid stat line, but RJ was also responsible for five turnovers. Since the All-Star break, there has been a four-round difference in Barrett’s fantasy value, with the 2019 draft pick being far better in turnover-punt builds. He’ll look to clean up the turnovers when the Raptors face the Magic again on Tuesday.
