Both teams struggled to score in Sunday’s contest, but behind Barnes’ 23 points, the Raptors did just enough to win and even the series. The fifth-year forward earned nearly half of his points total at the charity stripe, with the remainder coming inside the three-point line. He tallied more rebounds and assists than any other Raptors player and was impactful on the defensive end of the floor. Now tied at two games apiece, the series flips back to Cleveland for Game 5, where Barnes will look to lead his team to a third straight victory.

Barnes put on an offensive clinic on Thursday. In his 35 minutes, he tallied double-digit assists and only one turnover, while using a trio of three-point shots to help efficiently match RJ Barrett’s 33 points. Barnes was solid on the glass and collected a couple of stocks in the process, leaving him with a well-rounded performance in the win. He’ll look to land similar production on Sunday in Game 4.

While Barnes scored 21 points in Game 1, he was also responsible for five of the Raptors’ 17 turnovers. He committed four more turnovers in Game 2 but shot the ball better, making over 50 percent of his attempts from the field. If the Raptors are to win this series, they may need more from Barnes defensively, as starting center Jakob Poeltl has struggled and did not play at all in the second half of Monday’s defeat. Barnes is certainly a capable defender, but Evan Mobley is a challenging matchup.

Barnes had 21 points on 14 attempts from the field and three three-pointers. The 24-year-old small forward also had seven assists, but he also had five turnovers. Barnes was a game-worst -22 in his 32 minutes on the floor. The Raptors will need Barnes to take better care of the ball if they’re going to make this a series.

In the regular season finale, Barnes put up his third triple-double of the season, which was his first since December. That was enough to get the win for the Raptors and push them up to the No. 5 seed in the East, which sets them up to take on the Cavaliers in round one. Barnes has been incredible this season and has been a big reason for Toronto’s success. They’ll need him at his best to have a chance to pull the upset against Cleveland.

Barnes did not record any defensive stats against the Knicks, marking two consecutive games without a steal or a blocked shot. With the Raptors’ forward being among the league leaders in combined steals and blocks, fantasy managers in active leagues certainly expected more from Barnes. If there’s a positive to take from Friday’s defeat, it’s that the Raptors will likely need to play their regulars in Sunday’s season finale against the Nets as they look to secure a top-6 seed in the East.

Having scored 14 points or less in four straight games, Barnes snapped out of his slump on Tuesday. The 25 points were the most in a game for the All-Star forward since February 8, when he hit that number in a win over the Pacers. However, while it was good to see Barnes get untracked as a scorer, his ability to fill a stat line is what makes him so valuable in fantasy leagues. He’s tallied at least five assists and one steal in each of his last seven games.

With Immanuel Quickley (foot) out, the Raptors have asked Barnes to do more as a scorer and playmaker in recent games. Unfortunately, the All-Star forward has struggled with the increased workload. Barnes has averaged just under 10 points per game over his last four appearances while shooting less than 40 percent from the field. Fantasy basketball aside, the Raptors need more from Barnes as the postseason approaches.

While Barnes’ percentages were poor on Wednesday, the rebounds, assists and defensive stats were good. Regarding the shooting, it’s fair to wonder if Barnes’ left shoulder may be causing him some trouble, even though he’s a right-handed player. He shot 2-of-8 from the field in Tuesday’s loss to the Pistons and was only slightly better against Sacramento. The Raptors play games on Friday and Sunday, so Barnes won’t have to deal with another back-to-back this week.

Barnes is good to go after initially being questionable for Wednesday’s game. He’ll occupy his usual place in the Raptors’ starting lineup, so fantasy managers need to ensure that he isn’t sitting on their bench.

Barnes was held to just five points in Tuesday’s loss, though he was still able to dish out double-digit assists for a fifth straight game. If he is forced to sit out the second leg of this back-to-back, Collin Murray-Boyles should start in his stead.

Barnes’ assist production has been elite recently. Counting Sunday, he has recorded 49 assists while committing 11 turnovers in his last four games. Add everything else that the two-time All-Star brings to the table, and Barnes’ Week 22 was very impressive. Over the past week, he has been a top-10 player in eight-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. Barnes and the Raptors should encounter more resistance on Tuesday when they open a four-game Week 23 in Detroit.

Barnes turned in a full line on Wednesday, but he didn’t do much scoring in the blowout loss. However, he bounced back in this one while still making an impact on both ends of the floor. Barnes has been a fantasy stud all year and is a big reason the Raptors will be making a return to the postseason. They’ll wrap this week up against the Magic on Sunday before wrapping the season up with two straight four-game weeks.

Despite being relatively unproductive as a scorer, Barnes offset those struggles by making plays throughout the night as a passer. He’d finish with double-digit assists for the second straight game and narrowly miss out on a triple-double for a consecutive time. Still, Barnes rebounded well, made plays on defense, and provided a balanced performance overall. He’ll have a chance to stay productive against the Pelicans on Friday.

On Monday, Barnes did what fantasy managers hope to see star players do against rebuilding teams. Shooting 80 percent from the field, he recorded a complete stat line and finished three rebounds shy of a triple-double. While Barnes is up to 26 double-doubles on the season, he’s only had two since the All-Star break. The Raptors play three more games in Week 22, starting with the Clippers on Wednesday.

Barnes shot the ball well on Sunday, but it didn’t do much to keep the Raptors from getting blown out. Since scoring nine points in a March 11 loss to the Pelicans, he has scored at least 14 points in five straight games. While Barnes’ fantasy value has taken a slight hit, it has not been to the point where he becomes a liability. The Raptors play four games in Week 22, starting with the Jazz on Monday.

Barnes didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, shooting 1-of-6 from beyond the arc in Denver. The good news for fantasy managers, especially those in category leagues, is that the Raptors star filled the stat line in his 38 minutes. Since the All-Star break, Barnes has provided third-round value in eight-cat formats, a slight decrease compared to his pre-break production. He’ll be fine, especially with the Raptors also playing four games in Week 22.

Barnes had a rough night at the office scoring-wise, as he shot 1-of-6 from three-point range. Category league managers can take solace in the rebounds, assists and steals. But this was a disappointing effort for someone who has ranked among the most valuable players in fantasy basketball this season, regardless of format. The Raptors return home for games on Friday and Sunday to complete Week 20.

Barnes had his first game with at least 20 points since February 8 against the Pacers, a span of 11 games. The 24-year-old has leaned on his more varied skillset to provide fourth-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Raptors take on the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Barnes finished Sunday’s 30-point victory with a complete stat line, recording those numbers efficiently. In addition to shooting 50 percent from the field, the All-Satr forward committed just one turnover in 35 minutes. The ability to fill a stat line consistently has made Barnes one of the best players to roster in category leagues, and that should remain the case for years to come.

While Barnes continues to hit double figures in the points category, his production in some other categories has slipped since the All-Star break. In six games, the All-Star forward has averaged 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks while shooting 48.7 percent from the field. Barnes has been close to a top-25 player in eight-cat formats during this stretch, according to Basketball Monster, so the fall has not been a steep one. But he’s capable of doing more than he has in recent games.

Barnes went through Monday’s practice, but he’ll carry a questionable designation due to a thigh bruise. If Barnes is ultimately ruled out, Ja’Kobe Walter could replace him in the starting five, making him worth a look as a deep-league streamer.

Barnes recorded a complete stat line on Wednesday despite suffering a right quad contusion during Toronto’s loss to the Thunder the night prior. The good news for him and those who have Barnes rostered is that the Raptors will have a little more time off, as they don’t play again until Saturday against the Wizards. And that should be a big night for him, given the Wizards’ ongoing rebuild.

Barnes injured his right quad during the fourth quarter of this game, which could lead to him missing Wednesday’s game against the Spurs. However, he was productive in his return from a one-game absence due to personal reasons. Barnes’ well-rounded production, specifically on the defensive end, has allowed him to be a fantasy superstar this year, but he actually set a new season high for “stocks” in a game in this one. Ja’Kobe Walter started when Barnes was out on Sunday and could return to the role if Barnes is sidelined against San Antonio.

Barnes has been away from the team since Friday, missing Sunday’s win over the Bucks. The 24-year-old small forward is set to return Tuesday against the Thunder. That means Ja’Kobe Walter, who had nine points and six rebounds in 30 minutes on Sunday, will head back to the bench.

Barnes has been away from the team since Friday, when he was excused from practice for personal reasons. He’ll miss Sunday’s game, likely opening up a spot in the starting lineup for Ja’Kobe Walter. While not a player worth streaming in 12-team leagues, Walker is worth a look in deeper formats.
