Barnes didn’t join Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett and Brandon Ingram in scoring 20 points, but he came close and was still able to turn in a complete stat line. He was also more efficient as a scorer than he was 24 hours prior against the Hawks. The Raptors four-game winning streak came to an end, but Barnes’ excellent season continued. He’s having the best shooting season of his career, which has been huge for their early success.

Barnes struggled with his shot on Friday, shooting 0-of-6 from outside of the paint. However, he did record his fourth double-double of the season and third in four games. Barnes is shooting a respectable 49 percent from the field thus far, one reason why he’s providing first-round value in nine-cat formats. The occasional bad shooting night isn’t a significant concern, especially given how well he’s shot overall.

Barnes served as Toronto’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, shooting 60 percent from the floor in a one-sided affair. The 24-year-old briefly left the contest late in the second quarter with an apparent left hand injury but managed to return at the outset of the third quarter. The Raptors had six players score in double figures as they raced out to a 25-point lead by the start of the fourth quarter. Barnes will look to keep the momentum going when Toronto faces the Hawks on Friday night in a road tilt.

Barnes did a little bit of everything on Sunday for the Raptors. On the offensive side, he was a productive scorer both inside and outside the arc while also functioning as the team’s primary facilitator. Meanwhile, he was the only Raptors player to log at least one steal and block on Sunday, with his six stocks marking a new season high. Barnes has gotten off to a productive start to his fifth NBA season and is displaying vastly improved three-point shooting thus far. If he can remain efficient from beyond the arc, he becomes even more valuable in fantasy leagues.

Barnes failed to reach at least 20 points for the second time in his last three games. The 24-year-old small forward went just 1-of-4 from behind the three-point line after an 11-of-20 start from downtown to begin the year. Barnes’ usage continues to be solid alongside Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett and with that better production should eventually follow.

Barnes’ 31 points tied Kevin Durant for the game-high. The 24-year-old small forward’s improved three-point shooting is the story so far this year. Barnes shot just 27.1 percent from behind the three-point line last year, but is 11-of-20 from long distance to begin the season. It’s an excellent development for Barnes and his fantasy managers if this is more than just a hot streak.

Barnes finished Sunday’s defeat with his first double-double of the season, including a rebound tally that matched his total in Toronto’s first two games. Last season, he had four games with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds. Thus far, all three of Toronto’s starting wings, Barnes, Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett (16/4/3 with one three-pointer), have recorded solid numbers, with center Jakob Poeltl’s offensive production taking the most significant hit. That’s good news for fantasy managers who committed to any of the wings, as there were usage concerns during the preseason.

Barnes mostly struggled from the field with 17 points on 15 shot attempts. The 24-year-old small forward was -16 in 35 minutes in a game the Raptors lost by six points. Barnes was having an off-night and deferred to Brandon Ingram, who had 29 points. After a mostly sluggish preseason, Barnes had 22 points in the Raptors’ opener, but he’s not out of this slump just yet.

After struggling for most of the preseason, Barnes finished with a flourish by scoring 31 points in Friday’s win over the Nets. He carried that momentum into Wednesday’s opener, playing efficiently in the Raptors’ 20-point beating of the Hawks. Barnes did not attempt a three-pointer against Atlanta; instead, he did most of his damage in the paint. Of his nine made field goals, seven occurred in the paint. That will be the recipe for Barnes, who already brings so much to the table as a defender and playmaker. Fewer three-point attempts should boost his overall field-goal percentage, which would be good news for those with Barnes rostered.

Barnes had just seven points on 13 shots against the Celtics on Wednesday. He bounced back in a major way against the Nets on Friday with 31 points on 15 attempts. Barnes also got to the free throw line 12 times and made 11 attempts. The 24-year-old small forward put his fantasy managers at ease for now with a much better shooting night after going 6-of-30 from the field to begin the preseason.

It has been a rough preseason for Barnes, and that continued on Wednesday. He has shot 6-of-30 from the floor through three preseason outings, though there shouldn’t be much concern at this point, since these are only exhibition games. They have one more game on Friday for him to get back on track before the regular season begins.

In what has been a disappointing season for both Barnes and the Raptors, he was able to close the season out on a high note. He finishes his fourth season in the NBA with averages of 19.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, one block and 1.2 threes per game. Toronto should be more competitive next season with Brandon Ingram and a lottery pick entering the rotation. That should help Barnes bounce back from a disappointing campaign where he shot a career-worst 44.6 percent from the floor.

It has been a rough stretch offensively for Barnes. but after getting two games off to nurse his right hand injury, he was able to have some success on Friday. He had his highest-scoring performance since March 20 despite his abysmal night from the free throw line. It’s unclear if Barnes will be available for Toronto’s season finale in San Antonio on Sunday since they are locked in to the seventh-best lottery odds. If this was Barnes’ final game of the season, he was able to end a rough year on a high note.

Barnes did not play in Friday’s loss to the Pistons, with Jonathan Mogbo replacing him in the starting lineup. The rookie will likely retain that role if Barnes is unavailable, but he offers limited fantasy value outside of rebounds.

Barnes has been playing through a hand injury for months, but will get the day off Friday. Jonathan Mogbo is the likely replacement for Barnes against the Pistons. Barnes’ fantasy managers have to be worried the Raptors won’t continue to push Barnes to play through the injury at this point in the season.

Rajakovic also said that Barnes has been dealing with this hand injury for months, but he has been playing through it. Unfortunately, it hasn’t gone well recently; he scored a season-low five points on Thursday after scoring nine points in each of Toronto’s last two games. If he misses Friday’s game, Jonathan Mogbo is the likely replacement in the starting unit.

Barnes will be good to go after initially being listed as questionable. He’ll occupy his typical spot in the starting lineup, though he has only scored nine points in each of Toronto’s last two games. He’ll look to get back on track in this game, even if his minutes continue to be limited.

Barnes is dealing with a finger joint contusion while Rhoden has a finger joint sprain. Barnes is the bigger loss if he’s out as Rhoden hasn’t been a consistent part of the Raptors’ rotation. Rhoden could be in line for a decent workload Thursday if he’s available given all the injuries Toronto is dealing with.

Barnes had a tough night shooting-wise, but he has connected on 47 percent of his shots over the past two weeks. That has been an encouraging development for a player shooting 44.5 percent for the season. Something that may be helping is the decrease in three-point attempts. Barnes has been averaging three attempts per game since the All-Star break, a drop of nearly two attempts per game compared to his three-point frequency before. He isn’t a good perimeter shooter, and taking fewer shots from that range may boost his overall numbers.

Barnes had a rough night shooting the ball, but the other aspects of his game were solid. He came close to recording a triple-double and add five defensive stats as Toronto snapped a four-game losing streak. Sure, they may want those losses to pile up, but for fantasy managers, this was another strong game from Barnes. Unfortunately, their final three games of the week are all against fellow tanking teams in the East. Don’t be surprised if Barnes starts seeing fewer minutes, or if they hold him out of games altogether.

While Barnes has an excellent night shooting the basketball, fantasy managers in leagues that count turnovers took a beating. The Raptors wing was responsible for six turnovers, and he’s had at least five in three of his last four outings. Barnes’ status as a former All-Star means he’s held to a different standard regarding the league’s availability rules. That may benefit fantasy managers as the Raptors play out the rest of their season. However, the Raptors begin a four-game Week 21 in Washington on Monday, so it would be unsurprising if Barnes were held out.

Barnes has had a few rough performances recently, but he got back on track on Thursday. He scored 17 points in the first half and ended up having his highest-scoring performance since before the All-Star break. Barnes ranks just inside the top-150 in nine-cat leagues over the past two weeks despite producing top-50 value over the course of the season. Things have been messy in Toronto, which has included the benching of starters late in games to help the team lose. That wasn’t the case on Thursday, which contributed to Barnes’ fantastic night.

Barnes played both games of Toronto’s road back-to-back, logging 31 minutes after playing 28 in Portland on Sunday. The lingering question for fantasy managers is how long this will last, as the Raptors are focused on developing their younger players and improving the franchise’s draft lottery odds. Barnes needs to be in lineups as long as he’s active, but the returns may be diminished.

With 8:41 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Raptors holding an 86-80 lead, Barnes was subbed out of Sunday’s game. He would not return, underlining the concern regarding elite fantasy players whose teams want to improve their draft lottery odds. Fantasy managers received solid production in the rebounds, assists and steals categories, but Barnes was also responsible for five turnovers. And with the Raptors visiting Phoenix on Monday, managers should plan for the likelihood that Barnes does not play. AJ Lawson (nine points, eight rebounds, six assists and one three-pointer) played 33 minutes off the bench against Portland, and he could move into the starting lineup if Barnes sits on Monday.

Barnes missed Wednesday’s game against the 76ers with a finger injury, but returned after a one-game absence against the Jazz Friday. The 23-year-old small forward had 20 points on 16 shots and pulled down 10 rebounds to earn a double-double. Barnes has now recorded four double-doubles in his last five games. He continues to play well and could end the season on a high note as long as the Raptors don’t elect to give him days off for rest down the stretch.

Barnes missed Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia, but there is a chance that he returns to the rotation on Friday. Colin Castleton started next to Jakob Poeltl on Wednesday, but with Poeltl out, Castleton could remain in the starting unit even if Barnes is back. Jamison Battle is also a candidate to be pushed out of the starting lineup if Barnes returns.

Barnes is a late addition to the injury report, while Agbaji’s status has been upgraded from out to questionable. Barnes’ absence is far more impactful in the world of fantasy hoops, and if he’s sidelined, Chris Boucher and AJ Lawson could see a bump in playing time.
