Between injuries and subpar performances, it was a rough start to the season for Coulibaly. However, this recent stretch has been a productive one. He wasn’t able to contribute any defensive stats, which has inflated his recent value, but he was able to have a solid night on offense. He’s known for his defense, but any consistency on offense will help him be even more valuable for fantasy managers, which makes his recent games encouraging.

Coulibaly was one of six Wizards in double figures on Tuesday, but the steals category is where he set himself apart. The five steals were a career-high for the third-year wing, who recorded four in a January 2 win over the Nets. Rostered in 26 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Coulibaly has been close to a top-50 player in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. While those who have him rostered may consider selling high, managers in leagues where Coulibaly is available should think about picking him up.

While his season-long fantasy value has not met expectations, Coulibaly has been a better asset to category-league managers recently. Over the past week, he has provided top-75 value in eight- and nine-cat formats, sitting just outside the top-50 in the latter. Coulibaly is rostered in 23 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and those who have held onto him for this long might as well remain patient. The third-year wing missed both games of Washington’s most recent back-to-back, so he should be considered questionable for Monday’s game against the Suns.

Between injuries and production, this has been an underwhelming season for Coulibaly so far. That makes Friday’s performance that much more satisfying for the Wizards wing and those who continued to roster him. The 21 points were a season-high for Coulibaly, who also provided excellent value in rebounds and “stocks.” Rostered in 11 percent of Yahoo! leagues, his eight-cat fantasy value remains outside the top-150. However, he’s someone to watch ahead of the “silly season,” as there should not be any reason to shut down Coulibaly later in the year.

There weren’t a ton of bright spots for the Wizards as they faded badly in the second half of this one, but Coulibaly drained 3-of-9 from three-point range and managed to drop 14 points in just 23 minutes of action as he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury. The 21-year-old remains the textbook definition of a long-term developmental project but he continues to show flashes of potential as a shooter with the athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Coulibaly returned from a four-game absence due to an oblique injury last Thursday, but missed Saturday’s game with ankle sprain. The 21-year-old shooting guard is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Hornets, which could leave the Wizards shorthanded on the win. Justin Champagnie had 11 rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes in Coulibaly’s absence Saturday, but only scored four points.

Coulibaly wasn’t on the initial injury report but is now dealing with an ankle sprain. He returned from a four-game absence with an oblique injury in Washington’s last game and started. Khris Middleton is available for this game and will likely fill Coulibaly’s starting spot.

Coulibaly is good to go after missing the last four games with an oblique injury. Bub Carrington has filled the void in the starting lineup for the previous three games; he may be headed to the bench on Thursday. However, prepare for the possibility that Coulibaly’s minutes may be restricted.

It’s a brutal blow for the Wizards, since Coulibaly is their top perimeter defender. Bub Carrington and Justin Champagnie will see more minutes, but it will likely just mean more usage for guys like Kyshawn George and CJ McCollum.

Coulibaly had just two points and was -20 in 25 minutes against the 76ers on Tuesday. The 21-year-old shooting guard is set to miss Thursday’s game against the Celtics with a right oblique strain. Bub Carrington and Will Riley are candidates for more minutes in Coulibaly’s absence.

After totaling seven points on 2-of-11 shooting in his prior two appearances, Coulibaly needed a night like Wednesday. He only missed one shot from the field, and the final stat line was only lacking in the steals category. Coulibaly’s inconsistent offense is what holds him back in fantasy, as he’s only shooting 42 percent from the field. However, he’s shot 58.3 percent from the field over the past two weeks, which is why he’s been a third-round player during this stretch.

After a four-game absence, Coulibaly is available to play. Rookie Tre Johnson is the player most likely to move to the bench if Coulibaly starts, although Khris Middleton may also be a candidate. Nothing has been announced regarding a minutes restriction for Bilal; that may be used as a reason to bring him off the bench if one is in place.

Coulibaly has missed Washington’s last four games, but there is a chance he returns to take on Brooklyn. Tre Johnson has been starting since Coulibaly went down, and he could be pushed back to a reserve role if Coulibaly returns, though Khris Middleton is also a candidate to come off the bench. There is also a chance Coulibaly doesn’t start, though that hasn’t happened since he was a rookie.

Wednesday’s game will be the fourth that Coulibaly has missed with a left calf contusion. Rookie Tre Johnson has been the replacement in the starting lineup, and he’s worth a look in deep leagues. Johnson will be most valuable later in the season, especially if the Wizards were to move a veteran at the trade deadline.

Coulibaly will miss a third straight game as he recovers from a left calf contusion suffered during Washington’s November 5 loss to the Celtics. Rookie Tre Johnson has replaced him in the starting lineup and should retain that role, making him a player worth considering in deep leagues.

Coulibaly left Wednesday’s game against the Celtics with a leg injury and then missed Friday’s game against the Cavaliers. The 21-year-old shooting guard is set to miss another game Saturday against the Mavericks. Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson will continue to pick up minutes in his absence.

Coulibaly exited early from Wednesday’s game, and he’ll be held out at least one more game. Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson are the top options to receive extended minutes with Coulibaly out. Carrington was a starter at the beginning of the year while Coulibaly was sidelined and played 31 minutes on Wednesday.

Coulibaly is dealing with tightness in his lower left leg, and with the Wizards down big, there’s no reason to risk anything. He played 16 minutes, finishing with one point (0-of-5 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two rebounds and three assists. Rookies Tre Johnson and Will Riley should see plenty of time during the fourth quarter, with the former being the more valuable player if Coulibaly misses time.

Coulibaly has provided top-100 value in nine-cat formats through three games, exceeding his Yahoo! ADP of 143. Whether he can sustain this production level will depend on Coulibaly’s field-goal shooting. He’s making 42.7 percent of his attempts thus far, including a 3-of-10 night against the Magic on Saturday. Coulibaly’s rostered percentage has more than doubled since his season debut on October 30, and it may increase even more with the Wizards playing three more games during Week 3.

Coulibaly made his season debut on Thursday, and the time off impacted his playing time. The third-year wing only played 24 minutes against the Thunder, but he was productive when on the floor. Coulibaly’s return meant Bub Carrington came off the bench, and he finished with three points, four rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes. While Coulibaly’s rostered percentage (17 percent) will increase, Carrington’s (14 percent) may decrease due to the role change and his limited production.

Coulibaly, who suffered a thumb injury that required surgery while playing for France at EuroBasket, will make his season debut on Thursday. And he’ll do so as a starter, with Bub Carrington being bumped to the bench. George, Washington’s most consistent player thus far, remains in the starting lineup.

Coulibaly underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb in September, but he will reportedly be available against Oklahoma City. It’s unclear if Coulibaly will immediately return to the starting lineup in his first game back or if he’ll play a reserve role, but Corey Kispert and Cam Whitmore will likely lose out on minutes.

Coulibaly injured his thumb while playing for France at EuroBasket, aggravating the injury during the team’s Round of 16 loss to Georgia. He only attempted three shots in that game, with the thumb likely being a factor. The Wizards did not provide a recovery timeline for Coulibaly. However, this is an injury that could cost him multiple weeks, putting his availability for the beginning of the regular season at risk. Washington ended the season starting Kyshawn George on the wing, but that was when the team was also without Khris Middleton. One of those two will likely step in if Coulibaly is not ready next month, but George will play plenty regardless of the Wizards’ decision with the team in a rebuild.

Coulibaly and France cruised to a 92-64 victory in their EuroBasket opener, with no player exceeding 23 minutes. Coulibaly logged 22 as part of France’s starting lineup, and he looked healthy after his second season with the Wizards ended in March due to a hamstring injury. Last season, he experienced increases in points, rebounds, assists and steals, but efficiency remained an issue. Coulibaly shot 42.1 percent from the field and 28.1 percent from beyond the arc, limiting his fantasy value. Those areas can be issues for players on rebuilding teams, but Coulibaly’s defensive potential makes him a worthwhile late-round target in standard league drafts this fall.

The timeline puts an earliest return date at April 10, and by then, the Wizards will have just two games left on the schedule. Fantasy managers should consider Coulibaly’s 2024-25 season over. Assuming he doesn’t take the court again this season, he finishes his sophomore campaign with 12.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.1 triples across 33 minutes per game. Justin Champaignie will be the biggest beneficiary from a fantasy hoops standpoint.

Coulibaly sustained the hamstring injury on Monday against the Raptors, and unsurprisingly, he’ll be out for the second leg of Washington’s back-to-back set. Justin Champagnie should see additional playing time with Coulibaly sidelined.

Coulibaly, who had a scary fall on a dunk attempt and landed on his back, will not return to Monday’s game due to tightness in his right hamstring. The Wizards wing played eight minutes, finishing with four points, two rebounds and one assist. With Coulibaly done for the night, Justin Champagnie will play additional minutes off the bench.
