Carter has had some strong performances as a starter over the past couple of weeks, but this was his best. He set a new career high for scoring in the win, and this was his third 20-point game in his last six outings. The 2024 lottery pick struggled to find a place in Sacramento’s rotation early on, but he has played a consistent role over the past couple of months and has been effective recently. Hopefully he’ll be able to carry some of this into next season, though fantasy managers shouldn’t bank on it.

Carter has started Sacramento’s four games, with his performance on Sunday being the best of the bunch. In addition to the good percentages, the second-year guard put up good numbers in the rebound, assist and three-point categories. Given where the Kings are in the standings, Carter should continue to figure prominently in the rotation. Carter isn’t a must-add player, but he may be worth a look for the back end of Week 23.

Carter returned to the starting unit with Russell Westbrook and Killian Hayes both sidelined, and he was able to have another solid scoring night. He has scored in double figures in each of his last three appearances, with a five-game absence with a calf injury sandwiched in the middle. Carter should continue to be productive for the rest of the season as he tries to prove that he belongs with this team beyond this year.

Carter is no longer on the Kings’ injury report after missing five games due to a calf injury. With Russell Westbrook (foot) out, the Kings are likely to rely on Carter and Killian Hayes to run the show. Hayes playing would be the expected outcome, given the time that Carter has missed.

Carter continues to miss time with a calf injury, leaving Killian Hayes to handle the backup point guard duties in his absence. As long as the Kings are starting Russell Westbrook, there isn’t much to gain from rostering Hayes.

Carter’s continued absence does not significantly affect fantasy basketball, especially with Russell Westbrook removed from the injury report. Killian Hayes will take on the backup point guard minutes, and he has deep-league streaming potential when the Kings don’t have Carter or Westbrook.

Carter will miss a third straight game as he continues to recover from a calf injury. With Russell Westbrook also out, the Kings will likely turn to Killian Hayes to run the point. Hayes has not been the most reliable option in fantasy leagues, but those in dire need of assists may consider adding him ahead of the final game of Week 20.

Considered questionable for Saturday’s game following Friday’s practice, Carter is now out. His absence means more rotation minutes for Killian Hayes, who is likely to serve as Russell Westbrook’s primary backup.

Carter’s coming off the best performance of his NBA career, having scored a career-high 24 points in 16 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Pacers. With Russell Westbrook (quad) also out, the Kings will rely more on Nique Clifford and Killian Hayes on Wednesday.

Carter didn’t see the floor much in this game, but he ended up making a huge impact. He set a new career high for scoring in just 16 minutes. The second-year guard hasn’t played a large role this season, though he did have a productive stretch in February. Sacramento has won two games in a row, and with this loss to Indiana, the Pacers now have the worst record in the league by 0.5 games. Expect to see Carter more as the Kings look to improve their lottery odds.

The Kings won’t have Russell Westbrook or Keegan Murray for Thursday’s game, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. They’ll be replaced in the lineup by Carter and Clifford, with the latter offering a higher ceiling for the silly season. Sacramento’s other three starters are unchanged.

Carter is good to go after sitting out Monday’s win over the Grizzlies. His return is likely to push Killian Hayes out of the rotation after the recent signing played 11 minutes off the bench in Memphis.

Carter did not play in Monday’s win over the Grizzlies, which factored into recent signing Killian Hayes playing 11 minutes off the bench. If Carter can play against the Rockets, don’t expect to see too much of Hayes.

Carter popped up on the injury report Monday afternoon with a back injury and has since been ruled out for the game against the Grizzlies. Malik Monk and Nique Clifford should both see more minutes and are worth streaming on a three-game slate with Carter out.

Carter’s late addition to Monday’s injury report doesn’t bode well for his availability. If Carter is unable to take the court, Malik Monk and Nique Clifford should see a boost in minutes, making both guards appealing streamers for the small slate.

With Russell Westbrook (ankle) unavailable, Carter made the first start of his NBA career on Wednesday. The second-year guard didn’t shoot the ball, making one of his six three-point attempts, but the final stat line was decent. With the Kings now 12-44 on the season, Carter is one player whose minutes should increase after the All-Star break. Expect to see plenty of him and Nique Clifford (6/8/6/2 in 38 minutes) the rest of the season.

Already without multiple starters, the Kings won’t have Russell Westbrook (ankle) for Wednesday’s game. As a result, Carter will get his first start of the season. Given the Kings’ lack of healthy guards, he is worth streaming in this spot.

Carter did not shoot the ball well in Sunday’s championship game, but his overall play throughout the summer league may have opened some eyes. Limited last season due to injury, the 2024 first-round pick was effective as a playmaker and defender against the Hornets. With Carter being mentioned in trade rumors earlier this month, he’s someone to keep an eye on as the offseason progresses. Staying in Sacramento could make it difficult for him to impact fantasy basketball next season, especially with the Kings signing Dennis Schröder.

While Carter wasn’t as explosive offensively as he was on Saturday, the second-year guard still produced an efficient stat line. Not only did he shoot over 50 percent from the field, but Carter also provided value as a playmaker and defender. Being consistent in those two categories will significantly impact how much he plays next season. Dennis Schröder was signed to be the starting point guard, but the Kings need depth behind him. Carter has the potential to help fill that void, especially if he can carry over his play in Sacramento’s last two games into training camp.

After shooting 2-of-14 from the field in Thursday’s win over the Magic, Carter bounced back significantly during Saturday evening’s contest. Only missing three shots from the field, the second-year guard was elite as a scorer while also providing value as a rebounder and defender. Carter’s name has come up in some trade rumors this offseason, but nothing has come to fruition. Whether in Sacramento or elsewhere, the 2024 first-round pick is working to ensure he logs consistent rotation minutes next season. Saturday’s performance was unquestionably a step in the right direction for the former Providence College standout.

Limited to 36 games as a rookie after undergoing shoulder surgery, Carter is healthy this offseason. That should aid the former first-round pick’s development as he looks to earn a consistent place in the Kings’ rotation. Carter struggled with his shot on Thursday, missing all four of his three-point attempts and shooting 20 percent from inside the arc. As a rookie, Carter recorded a 37.0/29.5/59.1 shooting slash line, so the efficiency must improve if he’s to be a factor in Year 2 with the Kings.
