Carter did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Nuggets. With Zach LaVine out and Malik Monk questionable for Wednesday’s game, there may be rotation minutes available to Carter. However, there’s no need to consider streaming him in that scenario.

After logging 12 minutes in his last three games, Carter picked up a DNP-CD in Saturday’s win over the Bucks. If he cannot play on Monday, the second-year guard’s absence will not impact fantasy basketball or the Kings’ rotation.

Carter did not shoot the ball well in Sunday’s championship game, but his overall play throughout the summer league may have opened some eyes. Limited last season due to injury, the 2024 first-round pick was effective as a playmaker and defender against the Hornets. With Carter being mentioned in trade rumors earlier this month, he’s someone to keep an eye on as the offseason progresses. Staying in Sacramento could make it difficult for him to impact fantasy basketball next season, especially with the Kings signing Dennis Schröder.

While Carter wasn’t as explosive offensively as he was on Saturday, the second-year guard still produced an efficient stat line. Not only did he shoot over 50 percent from the field, but Carter also provided value as a playmaker and defender. Being consistent in those two categories will significantly impact how much he plays next season. Dennis Schröder was signed to be the starting point guard, but the Kings need depth behind him. Carter has the potential to help fill that void, especially if he can carry over his play in Sacramento’s last two games into training camp.

After shooting 2-of-14 from the field in Thursday’s win over the Magic, Carter bounced back significantly during Saturday evening’s contest. Only missing three shots from the field, the second-year guard was elite as a scorer while also providing value as a rebounder and defender. Carter’s name has come up in some trade rumors this offseason, but nothing has come to fruition. Whether in Sacramento or elsewhere, the 2024 first-round pick is working to ensure he logs consistent rotation minutes next season. Saturday’s performance was unquestionably a step in the right direction for the former Providence College standout.

Limited to 36 games as a rookie after undergoing shoulder surgery, Carter is healthy this offseason. That should aid the former first-round pick’s development as he looks to earn a consistent place in the Kings’ rotation. Carter struggled with his shot on Thursday, missing all four of his three-point attempts and shooting 20 percent from inside the arc. As a rookie, Carter recorded a 37.0/29.5/59.1 shooting slash line, so the efficiency must improve if he’s to be a factor in Year 2 with the Kings.

Carter’s rookie season ended on a positive note individually, as he reached double figures for the fourth time. Offseason shoulder surgery delayed his NBA debut until after the New Year, with Carter playing 36 regular-season games. While he was worth stashing in dynasty league drafts before this season began, the former Providence standout did not deserve a look in redraft leagues. That will likely remain the case next season, but the Kings need to make a decision regarding their head coaching position, as Doug Christie was only the interim. Add in the need for an experienced point guard, and Carter’s fantasy outlook isn’t great.

Carter is back after missing two games with a right shoulder contusion. While the rookie provides additional depth off the bench, he’s unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball. Fantasy managers can afford to leave Carter on the waiver wire.

Carter has been diagnosed with a right shoulder contusion, according to a press release from the Kings. Still, the same report said he will be listed as questionable after missing the last two games. However, the rookie hasn’t played a significant role lately, and with the main rotation players all healthy, he won’t have a chance to take on extra minutes if he plays on Friday.

Carter will remain sidelined for a second-straight game with the shoulder injury that he suffered against Orlando on Saturday. However, he played a total of five minutes over Sacramento’s two games prior to his shoulder injury. With Malik Monk back, Carter’s availability will have little impact on the team’s rotation.

Carter injured his right shoulder during Saturday’s loss to the Magic and will not play on Monday. As for LaRavia, this will be the third game he has missed with a thumb injury, and he will be re-evaluated toward the end of next week. Carter’s absence does not impact fantasy basketball, especially with Malik Monk having recently returned from an illness.

Carter injured his right shoulder as he attempted to strip Paolo Banchero of the basketball, immediately exiting the game. The positive is that it was his left shoulder that was operated on last summer, not the right. Carter’s absence does not significantly impact fantasy basketball, but the Kings’ backcourt depth does take a hit.

With Malik Monk still sidelined, Carter should see increased run in this one. McDermott’s availability will have little impact in the realm of fantasy hoops due to his limited minutes when healthy.

While Carter was initially questionable for Monday’s game, McDermott was not included on the initial injury report. The latter’s absence will not impact fantasy basketball, as he is not in the rotation when healthy. As for Carter, with Malik Monk (illness) also out, Markelle Fultz will likely play rotation minutes off the bench.

With Domantas Sabonis (hamstring) and Zach LaVine (personal) unavailable, the Kings effectively went with a seven-man rotation Wednesday night. The good news for Doug Christie is that both reserves, Carter and Trey Lyles, were productive. Carter scored a season-high 16 points and provided solid value in the rebound, assists and steals categories. Lyles added 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 30 minutes. With Sabonis out for at least a week and LaVine’s status for Thursday’s game against the Bulls undetermined, Carter and Lyles could be worthy of a look in deep leagues.
