Collier finished one assist shy of a double-double on Saturday, with his playing time receiving a bump due to Utah losing by a franchise-record 55 points. With Keyonte George (four points, two rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 23 minutes) having the best season of his brief NBA career, Collier’s fantasy upside is limited. However, he’s worth a look in deep leagues for managers needing assists.

Collier’s upside has been limited as a reserve this season, but he has been an elite source of assists in recent weeks. He has had at least eight in 10 of his last 12 games, including at least nine in six of those. That puts him at eighth in the league in assists per game during that stretch, but he’s still available in 83 percent of Yahoo! leagues. If you need dimes, Collier can provide.

Collier notched his third double-double of the season on Thursday. He took advantage of an increase in minutes as Utah’s lead guard in Keyonte George’s absence (illness), and found his flow on offense against the Clippers. Collier did commit five turnovers, however, suggesting that L.A.'s defense presented a few challenges. Yet he finished with a strong line and could have another nice outing against the Warriors on Saturday if George remains out.

Despite coming off the bench in each of his last four appearances, Collier has provided solid value to managers needing assists. He’s recorded seven helpers or more in four straight games and was a key factor in Sunday’s double-overtime victory. Collier and Brice Sensabaugh (16/6/1/1 with four three-pointers) played well enough to be part of Will Hardy’s closing lineup, with the former ramping up the pace and the latter providing valuable three-point shooting. Collier’s return from a hamstring injury has also impacted Walter Clayton Jr., who picked up a second straight DNP-CD on Sunday.

Coming off the bench for the second straight game, Collier was excellent in his 26 minutes. Not only did the second-year guard record his first double-double of the season, but he also committed only two turnovers. Collier’s ability to get others involved is what gives him value in deeper fantasy leagues, even if he continues to come off the bench. On Tuesday, he picked up the slack for starter Keyonte George (10/5/7), who shot 3-of-12 from the field. Given how well George has played overall, the starting point guard job should be his for the foreseeable future. However, as evidenced by Tuesday’s performance, that does not prohibit Collier from providing reliable fantasy value.

While Collier was made active for Utah’s first two games of the week, he did not see action in either. Not only did he play against the Timberwolves on Friday, but the 2024 first-round pick was in the starting lineup alongside Keyonte George. It wasn’t solely the guards’ fault, but the Jazz were torched, giving up 137 points. As expected, Walter Clayton Jr. (4/3/2/0/1) was the big loser from a playing time standpoint, as he only logged 12 minutes off the bench.

After being made available for Utah’s last two games but not seeing action, Collier is in the starting lineup to make his first appearance of the season. While the backcourt of him and George is small in stature, Collier’s defensive ability makes this possible. Taylor Hendricks has been bumped to the bench but will still play rotation minutes.

Collier was available for the first time this season after missing the first six games with a right hamstring strain. Jazz coach Will Hardy was noncommittal about playing Collier before the game, and he didn’t end up checking in at all. Keyonte George has gotten off to a hot start, and Walter Clayton Jr. has played well, but that doesn’t mean Collier will be out of the rotation all season. Still, the outlook right now is bleak.

Collier is ready to make his season debut, though it’s yet unknown what Utah’s rotation will look like with the second-year man back in the fold. Collier may send Svi Mykhailiuk back to the bench and join the starting lineup, as Keyonte George may have played well enough to continue running with the first unit. Walter Clayton Jr. will find it even more difficult to get on the court now.

Collier is cleared for full on-court participation and has been assigned to the Salt Lake City Stars in the G-League. Starting on October 31, he will join the team to work on his conditioning and prepare for his return to the Jazz. Keyonte George has played well as the starting point guard with Collier sidelined, and it’s unclear how Collier’s return will impact the Jazz’s rotation.

Collier missed the entire preseason with a strained right hamstring, and he won’t be available when the Jazz open the regular season on Wednesday. The second-year guard will miss at least another week before he’s re-evaluated, leaving Keyonte George and rookie Walter Clayton Jr. to handle the point guard duties. While George was a player selected in standard league drafts, and with good reason, Clayton was only worth a late-round flier in redraft formats.

Collier’s shooting struggles continued on Monday, as he has now shot 6-of-24 in the last two games. The good news is that he dished out 12 assists, and setting up others was a strength of his last season. While Kyle Filipowski has looked like a player who should be shut down, Collier and Cody Williams (10/4/4/3/2 with one three-pointer) appear to need more game reps based on their play in Las Vegas. Utah plays again on Wednesday, and it will be interesting to see which experienced players do, or don’t, play.

Collier struggled to score on Saturday, which isn’t ideal for a second-year player, but it isn’t that surprising. It certainly wasn’t his strength during his rookie season. However, he was still able to be a solid playmaking option. With Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson gone, Collier should be the favorite to start the year as the starting point guard for Utah, which is a role that he held for much of last season.

Collier’s rookie season ends disappointingly, as a hamstring injury cost him Utah’s final three games. However, there were some positives to take from his first NBA season. A fixture in the Jazz starting lineup since early January, Collier provided solid production in the assist category while also being a solid defender. However, the limited scoring negatively impacted his fantasy value, and that’s an area to watch during Summer League play in Las Vegas. Keyonte George should remain in the starting lineup on Sunday.

Friday’s game will be the second straight Collier has missed with a hamstring injury. The rookie will again be replaced in the starting lineup by Keyonte George, who has a higher fantasy ceiling when allowed to start. George offers a lower ceiling in the assist category than Collier, but he is the superior scorer.

Collier has reached double digits in assists in two of his last three appearances, with Sunday’s total being one shy of his season-high. While his shooting has been inconsistent, the rookie’s had an excellent season in the assist category. His total of 446 assists is a Jazz rookie record, with John Stockton being the previous record holder with 415. The season’s final three games will be crucial for Collier, who continues to do what he can to show he’s capable of running the team in the future.

Sure, there aren’t many positives to take from a 143-105 defeat. However, Collier’s performance was arguably his best of the season. Not only did the rookie shoot over 50 percent from the field and score 22 points, but he also dished out 10 assists and did not commit a turnover. With Collier committing at least four turnovers in four of his previous five appearances, this was a welcome performance from the first-round pick out of USC. Given how Jazz coach Will Hardy has handled the minutes, it appears the team feels better about Collier at the point than 2023 first-round pick Keyonte George. George has not started a game since January 22, and he finished Wednesday’s loss with 14 points, one rebound and three three-pointers in 27 minutes.

The rookie out of USC is known primarily for his playmaking, but he turned it on as a scorer in this one, leading his team in points and producing just his fourth 20-point game of the season. Collier has run with the first unit full time since January 5, averaging 10.8 points, 7.9 dimes and 4.1 boards across 30.1 minutes per game.

Collier was excellent on Wednesday, only missing one shot and dishing out six assists with just one turnover. Add in the four steals, and this was a terrific night to have the rookie rostered. Rostered in 31 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Collier’s fantasy value has not been great. However, he has offered solid value in the assist category. If Collier can clean up his percentages, that would go a long way toward making him a viable option for standard leagues in 2025-26.

Collier has hit double figures in assists on 11 occasions since moving into the Jazz starting lineup in early January. While the seven turnovers he committed on Sunday were suboptimal, the rookie has been one of the few bright spots for the Jazz this season. Collier’s fantasy value remains low, but he’s a must-roster player for the rest of the season, especially for managers who can afford to take the occasional hit in the turnover category.

While Collier dished out 14 assists in Friday’s win over the Timberwolves, he was also responsible for six turnovers. The assist tally was halved on Sunday, but the rookie did not commit a turnover. Collier may not offer much value as a scorer or perimeter shooter, but he’s shown to be a capable floor general. These final five weeks will be crucial for Collier’s development, especially with the Jazz giving him the keys to the offense. Managers who can afford to take a hit in the percentage categories can benefit from rostering the rookie.

Collier had at least 10 assists for the third time in his last five games. The 20-year-old point guard also had six turnovers, which has been an issue this season. Going forward, Collier’s fantasy value is questionable. He can provide assists, but they come with turnovers and he’s not a big-time scorer. Collier is also now part of a crowded back court with Collin Sexton back from an ankle injury and Jordan Clarkson and Keyonte George not going anywhere.
