Cissé’s absence coincides with Daniel Gafford’s return from a sprained ankle. As a result, Gafford can absorb those minutes, at a minimum. Dwight Powell will remain in the rotation, but he hasn’t offered much fantasy value, whether he starts or comes off the bench.

Cissé’s status is up in the air, but with Daniel Gafford (ankle) expected to play, his role likely will be reduced if he’s available. If he’s out, Dwight Powell will fill all the backup center minutes.

Cissé was initially listed as questionable but was upgraded to probable earlier in the day. He has now officially been cleared, and with Daniel Gafford (ankle) sidelined, he should play an important role off the bench, where he has averaged 11.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 21.6 minutes per game over his last three outings.

Cissé had been listed as questionable, so this is a step in the right direction for him. Meanwhile, Daniel Gafford (ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful, so Cissé should get a nice run of minutes. However, the Warriors don’t often play a traditional center, so the Mavericks could get by with lots of minutes for Naji Marshall and not need Cissé as much on Thursday.

Cissé, who has provided valuable contributions off the bench when the Mavericks have been shorthanded, is dealing with an illness. How impactful his absence would be depends on Daniel Gafford (ankle), who’s also listed as questionable for Thursday night. If Gafford plays, there may not be much room in the rotation for Cissé, especially if the Mavericks decide to save a game since the rookie is on a two-way deal.

Cissé wasn’t in the starting lineup on Monday, but the rookie center had one of his best games of the season. Finishing one rebound shy of a double-double, he was also responsible for four blocked shots. While Cissé isn’t a must-add right now, he’s worth being mindful of if the Mavericks decide to prioritize the 2026 draft lottery.

Cisse was initially questionable with a sprained shoulder after suffering the injury in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game against the Bulls. With the Mavericks down Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington, Cisse could be in line for a start and significant minutes against the Nets.

Cissé sprained his right shoulder during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss to the Bulls. He did remain in the game at the time, but the rookie may sit out Monday’s game. If Cissé plays, he’ll be in the rotation since the Mavericks won’t have Anthony Davis.

With Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II all sidelined due to injury, Cissé will make his first start of the season on Monday. While a risky streaming play, the rookie out of Memphis is worth it due to Dallas’s lack of options in the post. Dwight Powell may play rotation minutes off the bench, but he does not offer similar upside.
