Collins has been out since late December, and a return to action does not appear to be on the horizon. Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said on Wednesday that the 6-foot-11 forward/center is still in a walking boot and he’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks. The Bulls will continue to rely on Nikola Vučević and Jalen Smith, with the latter having recently moved into the starting lineup.

Collins has been out since late December with a sprained left big toe. Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said on Saturday that the 6-foot-11 forward/center suffered a “pretty significant sprain” and will remain in a walking boot for the foreseeable future. Surgery isn’t currently on the table, but the team has been seeking additional opinions on Collins’ injury. Chicago will continue to rely on Jalen Smith to absorb most of the backup center minutes.

Collins’ absence means Jalen Smith should operate as the primary backup center behind Nikola Vučević. Even with an increased role, Smith is unlikely to be productive enough to warrant consideration outside of deeper fantasy leagues.

Collins was diagnosed with a sprained left big toe ahead of Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves, and the Bulls have not provided a return timeline. Jalen Smith will figure more prominently in the Bulls’ rotation, but he’s unlikely to reach the point where he should be rostered in most fantasy leagues since Nikola Vučević is healthy.

Collins was ruled out for Monday’s game with a sore left big toe, but he has since been diagnosed with a sprain. According to Bulls head coach Billy Donovan, the 6-foot-11 forward/center is not likely to play this week. Look for Jalen Smith to pick up a few more minutes, sometimes playing alongside starting center Nikola Vučević.

Collins is dealing with soreness in his left big toe and will not play against the Timberwolves. That leaves Jalen Smith to handle the available minutes behind starter Nikola Vučević, but he’s only worthy of consideration in deep leagues.

Collins was initially probable for Friday’s game, so the status upgrade was expected. With Jalen Smith also in the Bulls’ rotation, neither is likely to get the minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball.

Collins most recently played 16 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Cavaliers. The probable tag suggests he will play on Friday, but his playing time will be limited with Nikola Vučević in the starting lineup.

After playing 21 and 19 minutes in his first two appearances of the season, Collins logged 20 minutes on Friday. While the production was good, the true attention-grabber was the fact that he was part of the Bulls’ closing lineup, with starting center Nikola Vučević (13/3/4 with one block and one three-pointer in 22 minutes) watching from the bench despite not being in foul trouble. With Jalen Smith (5/10/1/1/1 with one three-pointer) playing 17 minutes and sharing the court with Collins at times, this is a position to monitor in the short term. Chicago sticking with this setup would make Collins worthy of a look in deep leagues.

Collins was initially probable for Friday’s game, so the upgrade in status is unsurprising. However, with Jalen Smith (hamstring) also available, neither player is likely to get the minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball.

Collins had offseason wrist surgery and returned to the court for the first time last Friday. In two games, he’s averaged 5.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists while playing 20 minutes a game. The Bulls are understandably being cautious with his recovery, but we should expect about 20 minutes from him again on Friday.

Collins made his season debut on Friday, playing 21 minutes off the bench in a loss to the Pacers. He should take on the backup center responsibilities again on Sunday, but the playing time will likely decrease if the Bulls remain competitive. Starter Nikola Vučević played 26 minutes against Indiana.

Collins is set to make his season debut after dealing with a wrist injury up to this point in the season. The 28-year-old could immediately step into the backup center job behind Nikola Vučević, but isn’t worth rostering in most fantasy leagues.

Collins did not play in Wednesday’s loss to the Nets despite participating in pregame shootaround. His return would impact the center rotation behind starter Nikola Vučević, with Lachlan Olbrich taking on that role recently. With Jalen Smith considered doubtful, Collins may be asked to take on the backup responsibilities immediately if he’s available.

Collins participated in shootaround on Wednesday, but was ultimately ruled out for the game against the Nets. The 28-year-old power forward will look to make his season debut against the Pacers on Friday. With Jalen Smith (hamstring) also out, Lachlan Olbrich should pick up more minutes off the bench.

Typically participating in shootaround is a sign that a player will suit up, but Collins will practice with the Windy City Bulls later on Wednesday, which may indicate that he won’t play against the Nets. He said if that goes well, he will play “very soon”, which indicates he could make his season debut on Friday against the Pacers. For now, Jalen Smith (hamstring) will occupy the reserve center minutes if he plays, with Lachlan Olbrich backing him up.

Collins could potentially make his first appearance of the season for the Bulls, and the timing would be great for a team with a loaded injury report. If available, the veteran center may be asked to take on some of the minutes that would typically go to Jalen Smith. Smith has missed the last two games with a strained hamstring but is considered questionable for Wednesday.

Collins has yet to make his first appearance of the regular season after suffering a fractured left wrist during the preseason. According to Bulls head coach Billy Donovan, the 6-foot-11 center will likely get in a few practices with the team’s G League affiliate. If all goes well, Collins could be available to play by the end of the week. His return impacts Jalen Smith more than any other Bulls, as he has served as Nikola Vučević’s backup.

Collins suffered a non-displaced scaphoid fracture in his left wrist during the preseason. He’ll miss at least four weeks with the injury, leaving Jalen Smith to serve as Nikola Vučević’s primary backup. Unless the Bulls were to lose Vooch to injury, there’s no need to consider rostering Smith.

Collins provided his third double-double in seven starts with Chicago, getting it going from downtown and crashing the glass with authority. Collins fouled out of Thursday’s win over Orlando after just 12 minutes, so this was a great bounce back effort. He’ll continue to shine for as long as Nikola Vucevic is sidelined.

Since stepping in for the injured Nikola Vucevic, Collins has been on a roll. He has averaged 18.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers in his five starts. That production has been good for top-25 value in eight-cat formats. Vucevic could return by the end of Week 18, with the Bulls playing games against the Magic and Heat. However, managers who still have Collins rostered should hold onto him.

Collins started again with Nikola Vucevic out for the third straight game. The 27-year-old center had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Collins also dished out five assists. He’s certainly under streaming consideration whenever Vooch is out for the rest of the season.

Once again starting for the injured Nikola Vucevic, Collins recorded a stellar stat line on Wednesday. The Bulls center recorded his first double-double of the season, establishing new highs in points (21) and rebounds (17). The 17 boards were a career-high for Collins, who has provided top-100 value in nine-cat formats over the past three weeks. As long as Vucevic and Jalen Smith (concussion) remain out, Collins will be worth streaming in deep leagues. And he’s rostered in just five percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Collins and Huerter are available after initially being probable for Wednesday’s game. The former will continue to serve as the starting center with Nikola Vucevic (calf) out of the lineup. As for Huerter, he will figure prominently off the bench, and he’s worth having in deep leagues where there is a need for three-point production.
