Drummond started, played 28 minutes and had a double-double with Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined in Thursday’s loss to the Hawks. With Embiid’s durability seemingly in question once again, Drummond is usable in deeper formats.

Drummond started with Joel Embiid (knee) out Tuesday against the Warriors. The 32-year-old center had 12 points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes in the win. Drummond continues to be worth streaming in these spot-start scenarios.

Tuesday’s game is the second in as many nights for the 76ers, so they won’t have Joel Embiid. Drummond moves into the starting lineup, which leaves Adem Bona in his usual backup center role.

Drummond is good to go after being added to the 76ers’ injury report early Saturday afternoon. With Joel Embiid and Adem Bona available, the veteran backup is not guaranteed to be in the rotation, much less play the minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball.

Drummond is a new addition to the 76ers’ injury report, which may not bode well for his availability. However, with Joel Embiid and Adem Bona available, Philadelphia will have enough depth at the center position.

With Tuesday being Philadelphia’s second game in as many nights, Joel Embiid not playing was expected. He’ll be replaced in the lineup by Drummond, with Adem Bona picking up additional minutes off the bench. Also, Oubre gets another start with Paul George missing a second straight game.

The 76ers won’t have Joel Embiid for Sunday’s game, as it’s the first of two games in as many nights for Philadelphia. Drummond receives the starting nod, but Adem Bona should play plenty despite coming off the bench. That’s the lone change to the starting lineup.

Drummond has started the last two games with Joel Embiid (illness) out. The 32-year-old center only played 23 minutes Saturday in the second game of a back-to-back compared to the 32 minutes he played Friday. Drummond was still productive with 12 rebounds, but only had six points after dropping 14 points and three three-pointers Friday. He’s still a solid streamer when Embiid misses time.

Based on his numbers entering Friday, Drummond has made strides as a perimeter shooter. However, his 3-of-4 effort from deep was well beyond anyone’s expectations. And these weren’t hopeful heaves; Drummond clearly believes in his shot. While he hasn’t reached the point where fantasy managers can expect consistent three-point production, nights like Friday are now possible. That’s something that no one would have imagined as recently as last season. Whether Drummond remains in the starting lineup on Saturday depends on Joel Embiid, who did not play on Friday due to illness and right knee injury management.

The 76ers have made two changes to the lineup that started Sunday’s loss to the Hawks. Maxey is back after a two-game absence, meaning that Quentin Grimes will return to the bench. The other change is Drummond, who fills in for Joel Embiid.

Drummond returned to the starting lineup with Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined, and he immediately returned to dominating the glass. He needed just 17 minutes to record his eighth double-double of the year. Drummond’s value is tied to Embiid’s availability, and with a back-to-back coming up on Thursday and Friday, Drummond should get at least one more start this week. Unfortunately, his value takes a big hit when Embiid plays.

Drummond is good to go for Tuesday’s game, but he was limited to six minutes off the bench in Sunday’s double-overtime loss to the Hawks. Adem Bona, who played 22 minutes on Sunday, will figure prominently in the rotation despite coming off the bench. Joining Drummond in the starting lineup are Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Paul George and Dominick Barlow.

Drummond will be able to suit up despite suffering a knee contusion on Friday. However, with Joel Embiid back and starting, Drummond will be pushed back to the bench. Embiid likely won’t play significant minutes, so Drummond should still play a large role.

Drummond is still dealing with a sprained right knee, but the good news is an MRI revealed no structural damage. He also told reporters he was feeling better. Adem Bona will continue to fill in for Drummond while the 32-year-old center remains sidelined.

Drummond was taken off in a wheelchair after the injury, and while the extent of the injury is unclear, he will at least be sidelined for the rest of this one. Johni Broome and Adem Bona should fill the center minutes for the remainder of this game.

Having fouled out after playing just 18 minutes in Thursday’s overtime win over the Bucks, Drummond appeared determined to bounce back on Sunday. He did just that, recording his seventh double-double of the season with a season-high 23 rebounds. Despite providing top-100 fantasy value and filling in admirably for Joel Embiid, Drummond is rostered in 29 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is way too low given his role. The 76ers play three games during Week 6, starting with the Magic on Tuesday.

Drummond continues to provide solid value as Joel Embiid’s replacement in the starting lineup. On Monday, the veteran center recorded his fourth double-double in as many games and was a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Rostered in 22 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Drummond has provided fourth-round per-game value in nine-cat formats over his last four games. With Embiid lacking a definitive timeline to return, adding Drummond would be a good idea.

Drummond exploited Boston’s lack of frontcourt size to close out the first half with back-to-back buckets in the paint to finish with 10 points as Philadelphia raced out to a 51-41 lead. The 14-year-veteran drew the starting assignment with Joel Embiid out with right knee soreness. He and fellow big man Adem Bona figure to see an uptick in minutes while Embiid is sidelined to undergo further evaluation and testing to determine the severity of the issue.

With Joel Embiid unavailable for injury management reasons, Drummond was tabbed to fill the void in the starting lineup on Sunday. And the veteran center came through with a performance on par with what many fantasy managers expected of Drummond when he first joined the 76ers. He recorded a complete stat line on Sunday, including his first game this season with multiple three-pointers. Adem Bona, who was Embiid’s replacement in past games, played 12 minutes off the bench, finishing with two points, four rebounds, one steal and three blocks. Unfortunately, neither will be of much value during Week 4, as the 76ers play just two games.

The 76ers are without Joel Embiid for Sunday’s game, as it’s the second game of a back-to-back. He’ll be replaced in the lineup by Drummond, who has outperformed Adem Bona on most nights. Bona will be in the rotation, but his streaming value is not as high when asked to come off the bench.

Ineffective in the eight minutes he played on Thursday, Drummond was far more active two days later. While he did not do much scoring, the 10 rebounds and one steal were indicators of a better performance. Adem Bona (2/1/0/1/1) played 20 minutes as Joel Embiid’s replacement in the starting lineup and appears ticketed for the backup center role. However, he did not perform well enough in Abu Dhabi to clearly separate himself from Drummond. While this isn’t a huge position battle for fantasy purposes, the winner will likely have streaming opportunities due to Embiid’s injury history.

Drummond was one of many 76ers to see their 2024-25 season end prematurely due to injury, with a toe injury sidelining him. The veteran center said Friday that he feels he’s back to full strength, which should make for a competitive battle for the backup center role. Either Drummond or Adem Bona stands to take on that responsibility, which has added importance due to starter Joel Embiid’s injury history. Bona offers a higher upside for deep-league managers seeking an “insurance policy” for Embiid, but Drummond can be an effective rebounder and finisher.

Drummond played well in a reserve role behind Joel Embiid in 2024-25, and rather than test the free agent market, he’ll return to the Sixers for another season with a similar role. Fantasy managers can expect solid numbers when Drummond is thrust into the starting lineup, but he’s not typically worth utilizing when Embiid is healthy.

Given the updated timeline, fantasy managers who may have stashed Drummond in an IL+ slot can let him go. At the earliest, he won’t be available to play until April 7, which is the first day of Week 23. Guerschon Yabusele and Adem Bona will handle the center responsibilities moving forward, with Yabusele offering the safer fantasy floor.

Both centers will remain sidelined for another game, with Drummond missing his fifth in a row. Guerschon Yabusele and Oshae Brissett will continue to be the center options for Philly, with Yabusele being the better option for fantasy managers.

Drummond and Bona remain sidelined, with the former missing his fourth-straight game. Guerschon Yabusele is questionable for Wednesday’s game and would be the starting center if allowed to play. However, if Yabusele cannot play, the 76ers may give Oshae Brissett another start. He would be worth streaming in this spot, even though Brissett is not a center.

Drummond missed time earlier this season with an injury to the same toe, and now it may keep him out of Philadelphia’s next game. Guerschon Yabusele is set to return after a one-game absence, though Adem Bona should still be in line to play extra minutes if Drummond is sidelined.

Drummond missed Monday’s game after not seeing the floor in the second half on Sunday. If he returns, he will likely be back in the starting lineup, which would push Lonnie Walker IV or Jared Butler back to the bench after they started in a smaller lineup on Monday. If Drummond remains out, Guerschon Yabusele and Adem Bona will continue to split the minutes at center.
