Caruso did not play in Thursday’s win over the Lakers, while Dort injured his back during the third quarter and did not return. Their ability to practice is certainly encouraging, with the Thunder facing the Jazz on Sunday.

Dort came out scalding hot, shooting 5-of-5 from the field in the first quarter and producing 14 points and four three-pointers. He didn’t score again, but the Thunder are more concerned about the back injury he suffered in the third quarter. Dort’s layup attempt was blocked by Lakers’ forward Jake LaRavia, with the momentum sending the Thunder wing crashing to the court. Dort walked back to the locker room during a timeout moments later and did not return. The game was a blowout, so it made no sense for him to return regardless of the injury’s severity. Still, this is something to watch with the playoffs on the horizon.

In his prior five appearances, Dort shot a combined 6-of-33 from the field overall and 5-of-26 from beyond the arc. To say he needed a night like Wednesday would be a serious understatement. Dort was 4-of-6 from deep against the Celtics. While the defensive production was limited, category-league managers will take the three-point production, which has not always been there for Dort.

This is the second game of a back-to-back, and the Thunder will sit out a few of their key rotation players, including Dort. That will likely mean more minutes for Cason Wallace, Isaiah Joe, and Jared McCain; although, Dort hasn’t surpassed 20 minutes in either of the last two games.

After missing Wednesday’s game against the Spurs, Dort appears to be on his way back to OKC’s starting lineup. His return will provide the Thunder with another elite perimeter defender and a floor spacer. He’s unlikely to have much fantasy value, as has been the case throughout much of the season.

Dort will join other Thunder starters on the sidelines for the second leg of this back-to-back. His absence will open up plenty of minutes and a starting spot, which will likely be filled by either Aaron Wiggins or Isaiah Joe.

Dort had 12 points and eight rebounds, but he’ll make headlines for getting into an altercation with the Pelicans’ Jeremiah Fears late in Tuesday’s game. Dort, seemingly out of nowhere following a loose ball that went out of bounds, grabbed Fears’ jersey and wouldn’t let go until the two were separated by teammates. It’s unclear if Dort will face any disciplinary action from the league for his actions.

Dort has reached double figures in five of his last eight appearances, scoring no more than 13 points in any of them. He shot the ball well against the Rockets, but the muted offensive production makes him challenging to rely on in most fantasy leagues. His value over the past month sits just outside the top-175, which explains why Dort is rostered in only six percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Dort (foot) is back from a one-game absence and will reclaim his usual spot in the Thunder’s starting lineup. He’ll join a cast of familiar faces in the opening lineup for the Thunder’s first matchup with the Rockets since their opening-day double-overtime thriller, which OKC won by a point.

Dort is available after a four-game absence, making an excellent Thunder defense that much better. His return means Ajay Mitchell will likely head back to the bench, but this should not be viewed as a reason to move away from the second-year guard. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Mitchell has provided reliable fantasy value this season.

Dort has been sidelined for OKC’s last four games, but he has a chance to return on Saturday. If Dort is back in action, Ajay Mitchell could retreat back to the bench, but Mitchell has been too impactful to see his minutes cut significantly. The latter remains a hold in fantasy leagues.
