While Dončić was still the leading scorer for the Lakers, he wasn’t able to provide his usual dose of buckets. He set a new season-low for scoring in the ugly loss. This is a game to forget for fantasy managers; Dončić won’t be this bad often, and he should be able to respond in Charlotte on Monday to kick off a four-game week.

Back in the Lakers’ starting lineup after sitting out Monday’s win over Portland, Dončić finished one rebound shy of a triple-double. And he made some history, becoming the first Laker to accumulate at least 35 points, 10 assists and five steals in a single game (steals did not become an official stat until 1973-74). Luka’s five steals matched his career-high, and he also blocked two shots. Sure, he missed four free throws, but the overall line more than compensated for that.

Dončić is back in the starting lineup after missing Monday’s win over the Trail Blazers, but Austin Reaves (groin) is not. As a result, LaRavia will remain in the starting lineup and is worth streaming in deep leagues until Reaves returns.

Dončić did not play in Monday’s win over the Trail Blazers, the Lakers’ second game in as many nights. Dalton Knecht, who played 23 minutes against Portland, will return to the bench with Dončić back in action.

Dončić will miss the second leg of the Lakers’ back-to-back, which opens up plenty of opportunity for the rest of the team, especially with Austin Reaves (groin) out as well. Marcus Smart and Bronny James should occupy the ball-handling responsibility, though everyone that is available will get the opportunity to step up.

Dončić was stellar in his second game back from a finger injury that had sidelined him for multiple games, this time logging his first triple-double of the season. The superstar guard led the Lakers in points and rebounds and finished second on the team in assists. He’s gotten off to an incredibly hot start to the season and has only been slowed by the finger injury. If he remains healthy, he’ll have a chance to record his best statistical season as an NBA player.

Dončić has been outstanding in the three games he’s played this year. The 26-year-old point guard is averaging 45.3 points per game, 11.7 rebounds per game and 7.7 assists per game while shooting 58.4 percent from the field. Dončić looks to be on another level this year after reports that he was dedicated to getting in better shape over the offseason.

Dončić is back after missing three games with finger and leg injuries, while a quad contusion sidelined Smart for the last two. The former’s return is of far greater consequence to the Lakers and fantasy basketball, as Dončić is one of the best players in the spot. Austin Reaves’ usage may decrease, but not by much, as he has been on a roll over the last week. Also, Jake LaRavia will likely return to the bench since Dončić is good to go.

Doncic has missed three straight games, but it looks like he’s ready to return for opening night of NBA Cup play. Austin Reaves has averaged ridiculous numbers in Doncic’s absence, posting 40 points, 5.3 rebounds, 10 assists, 2.3 swipes and four triples. Those gaudy stats will surely take a hit with Doncic back in the lineup, but Reaves remains an elite fantasy option.

Dončić has missed the Lakers’ last three games with finger and leg injuries, but a return may be on the horizon. If he can play against the Grizzlies, Jake LaRavia will likely be the odd man out of the starting lineup. In Dončić’s absence, Austin Reaves has been on fire, scoring 120 points over his last three games.

Wednesday’s game against the Timberwolves is the first of two that the Lakers will play on the road before returning home to face Miami on Sunday. Dončić, who has missed the last two games, is expected to be re-evaluated over the weekend. Due to the team’s many injuries, Jake LaRavia has moved into the starting lineup and is worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues. The Lakers have a five-game road trip that begins in Atlanta on November 8.

Dončić suffered a sprained finger on his left hand during Friday’s win over the Timberwolves, and he’s also dealing with a lower left leg contusion. While it’s unclear which injury is considered more serious, he will miss at least four games, beginning with Sunday’s matchup with the Kings in Sacramento. Marcus Smart is the player most likely to move into the starting lineup, but he can be a mixed bag offensively. Dončić’s absence also means the Lakers will require even more offensive production from Austin Reaves, Deandre Ayton and Rui Hachimura.

Doncic has been on fire to start the year, and the Lakers will miss him dearly if he isn’t able to suit up against Sacramento. In that scenario, Marcus Smart will likely replace him in the starting unit, and Austin Reaves would have to carry things on offense.

Dončić found a way to one-up himself on Friday after logging a 43-point performance in the season opener against the Warriors. He tallied nearly 50 points in the win over Minnesota and utilized both the three-point shot and the charity stripe to help land the monster scoring total. The veteran guard made his usual impact on the glass and as a passer as well, ultimately falling just shy of a triple-double for the second straight game. Fantasy managers should expect Dončić to continue putting up stellar stat lines as he remains the lead option for the Lakers while LeBron James is sidelined with an injury.

Both players practiced on Thursday, though Reaves wasn’t a full participant. However, both players will be good to go after they combined for 69 points and 18 assists on Tuesday. They’ll need to continue to carry the offense until LeBron James returns.

Dončić put up a massive stat line in Tuesday’s loss to the Warriors, tallying 43 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, two steals, one blocked shot and two three-pointers in 41 minutes. Wednesday’s practice session was brief, so the star guard was not on the court too long. The Lakers don’t play again until Friday against the Timberwolves, so he’ll have another day to recover. With LeBron James (sciatica) out, the Lakers cannot afford to lose Dončić for any amount of time.

With many of his teammates not getting going until well into the second half, Dončić was left to do most of the heavy lifting in the first half. The Lakers star put up 27 shots on the night, with Austin Reaves being the only other Laker to reach double digits in attempts. Dončić finished one assist shy of a triple-double, and with LeBron James (back) out for a few more weeks, nights like Tuesday may become the norm. While that’s great for those who have Dončić rostered in the short term, that could prove problematic down the line, considering he played a career-low 50 games last season due to injury.

Dončić was excellent in the Lakers’ final preseason game, shooting efficiently and committing only three turnovers in 32 minutes of play. With LeBron James (sciatica) unavailable for the next few weeks, Dončić’s already high fantasy value may increase slightly in the short term. While Luka only played in two preseason games, he was effective in both, a surefire sign that he’s ready for the regular season. The Lakers play three games during Week 1, beginning with the Warriors on Tuesday.

Doncic played his first preseason game for the Lakers and was immediately able to pour in the points. He was matched by Austin Reaves to lead the Lakers in scoring, and he did it in 22 minutes. Doncic appears to be ready to start the season strong after dominating in EuroBasket, which is important for Los Angeles with LeBron James set to miss time.

Slovenia’s run at FIBA EuroBasket ended with a 99-91 quarterfinal defeat, with Dončić producing another gaudy stat line. While he did score a game-high 39 points, the tally was boosted by a 12-of-15 day at the foul line. Dončić shot 5-of-16 from beyond the arc, while his teammates combined to go 5-of-23. Germany also hit nine three-pointers on Wednesday, but did so on nine fewer attempts while also outscoring Slovenia by 10 points from the foul line. Momentum appeared to shift when Dončić checked out with 1:12 remaining in the third quarter and Slovenia leading, 73-64. Germany pulled to within four by the end of the period and would score 13 of the first 16 points in the fourth.

Dončić was sensational to begin Sunday’s Round of 16 matchup, scoring 22 points in the first quarter. While Italy was able to do a better job of defending the Lakers star as the game progressed, Dončić still recorded his first 40-point game of this summer’s EuroBasket. The lone area of concern was his dash to the locker room between the first and second quarters, possibly to address a minor lower-body injury. Dončić still played 33 of a possible 40 minutes, so there’s unlikely to be an injury concern heading into Slovenia’s quarterfinal matchup with Germany.

Unsurprisingly, Doncic has carried the offensive load for Slovenia throughout EuroBasket, and this was another dominant performance from him. This wasn’t his highest-scoring game, but it was his most efficient outing from the floor. This was the third time this tournament that he finished with exactly nine assists, but he was able to record a triple-double against Belgium. Slovenia will go as far as Doncic takes them.

Doncic posted a 26-point triple-double against Belgium on Sunday, and while he matched the point total on Tuesday, he didn’t stuff the stat sheet in quite the same way. Doncic’s poor efficiency certainly left much to be desired, but he led his team to a second straight victory. If Doncic’s dominant Eurobasket play is any indication of how he’ll perform during the 2025-26 NBA season, fantasy managers are in store for some monster stats.

After suffering losses to Poland and France in its first two group stage contests, Slovenia earned its first victory on Sunday. Unsurprisingly Dončić led the way, becoming the fourth player since 1995 to record a triple-double in a EuroBasket game. Also, he is now the youngest player to reach 400 points in a EuroBasket career, knocking Tony Parker out of the top spot. Dončić is one of three Slovenians to reach that milestone, with Goran Dragic and Jaka Lakovic being the others. While Sunday’s victory does not mean Dončić and Slovenia are out of danger regarding qualifying for the knockout rounds, it is a step in the right direction in a tight Group D.

Doncic injured his right knee a couple weeks ago, but through two games of EuroBasket, it doesn’t appear to be bothering him. After scoring 34 points in Thursday’s loss, he was even better during Saturday’s loss. Doncic will continue to put up monster numbers, but Slovenia can’t afford many more losses in this tournament. He’ll look to help them get the win against Belgium on Sunday, assuming Doncic plays the second leg of the back-to-back.

Having injured his right knee during a pre-tournament friendly against Latvia, Dončić playing 36 of a possible 40 minutes on Thursday was a positive for him and the Slovenians. However, his gaudy stat line was not enough to get the win, as former Toronto Raptor Jordan Loyd went off for 32 points to lead Poland to a 105-95 victory. Even if most of his teammates struggled, Dončić looked sharp against Poland, cutting a slimmer figure than last season. The question for him heading into his first full season with the Lakers is whether the new physique will carry over, and if that will positively impact his durability. Dončić has played 70 games or more in two of his first seven seasons.

Dončić injured his right knee during Saturday’s friendly against Latvia, casting some doubt on his status for the upcoming FIBA EuroBasket competition. However, Slovenia’s national team announced on Sunday that the star guard was cleared to practice on Monday, and Stein’s update is another positive development. Dončić will take on his usual role as Slovenia’s lead offensive option, hoping to medal in EuroBasket after failing to do so in 2022.

Dončić suffered a right knee contusion during Saturday’s friendly against Latvia, but he avoided serious injury. The good news for Slovenia’s star guard is that he will practice on Monday, although the team did not reveal how much he’ll participate in the session. Dončić is expected to be a full go when EuroBasket opens on August 27.
