Dieng exited early from Sunday’s game, but he was only playing because of the lopsided score. He’ll be available against the Clippers, but he won’t play much of a role, if he sees the floor at all.

Dieng played six first-half minutes before being sidelined by a calf contusion. He finished with three points, one rebound, one assist, one blocked shot and one three-pointer. Fellow reserve Branden Carlson may pick up additional minutes in the second half, but this does not impact fantasy basketball.

Dieng’s three-pointer with less than a second remaining sealed the win for the Thunder in this one. The 22-year-old forward led OKC in points and shot attempts in this one. That isn’t going to happen during the regular season, but Dieng has shown enough so far in the preseason to take notice. Maybe the Thunder give him more bench minutes this year after the production they’ve seen so far.

Despite shooting inefficiently from beyond the arc, the fourth-year forward utilized a high volume of shots to conclude as one of five Thunder players to reach double figures in scoring. Dieng’s rebounding and playmaking were also noteworthy as he tallied a team-high in assists in his 35 minutes of game action. He’s now logged two productive preseason outings, which could serve as momentum the rest of the way and into the regular season. Dieng has yet to earn a consistent role in Oklahoma City’s nightly rotation.

Dieng exited early from Saturday’s game against Detroit, and the same calf injury will force him to miss Sunday’s game against Milwaukee. OKC will lose some wing depth, and his minutes will be absorbed by Alex Caruso, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins.

Dieng has been upgraded from questionable to available. With Chet Holmgren (ankle) out, there may be room on the back end of the Thunder rotation for Dieng to play. However, that isn’t enough to make him worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Dieng has missed Oklahoma City’s last four games, but his availability does not significantly impact the team’s rotation. Chet Holmgren (ankle) being out may free up a few minutes, but Jaylin Williams and Kenrich Williams are ahead of Dieng in the pecking order.
