Ant-Man is dealing with a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee, and he’ll likely miss the rest of the first-round series against Denver. Minnesota must win only one of its next three games against the Nuggets, scheduled for Monday, Thursday and Saturday, if the series goes the distance. The Wolves played well without Edwards in the regular season, but without he and Donte DiVincenzo, the road ahead will be challenging. Ayo Dosunmu will need to keep scoring at a high level to pick up the slack, and he’ll look to build off of a 43-point performance in Game 4.

Edwards suffered a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee in the second quarter of Game 4 and is expected to miss multiple weeks, per ESPN’s Shams Charania. The loss is a big one for the Timberwolves, who have a 3-1 series lead over the Nuggets in the opening round. Minnesota also lost starting guard Donte DiVincenzo to a season-ending torn Achilles in Game 4. Without Edwards and DiVincenzo, Bones Hyland and Ayo Dosunmu should see the bulk of the backcourt minutes going forward.

Edwards landed awkwardly and hyperextended his left knee late in the second quarter of Saturday’s game. The Timberwolves’ star remained down on the court, holding his knee and requiring help getting back to the locker room. With Donte DiVincenzo (leg) going down during the first quarter, the Timberwolves will finish Game 4 without their starting backcourt. Ayo Dosunmu and Mike Conley started the third quarter.

Partially due to foul trouble and potentially due to the bothersome knee, Edwards logged only 24 minutes in the Game 4 victory. He struggled with his shot throughout the contest and didn’t make any major contributions in other statistical categories. Still, he was a plus-11 in his time on the floor and, at the very least, his presence was felt. He’ll have a day in between games to treat his knee before taking the floor again in an important Game 4 on Saturday.

Edwards has been upgraded from questionable to available on Thursday for the third time in as many games. He continues to manage a knee injury up until game time, but has gone on to log 78 minutes in the series, posting averages of 26.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 blocks. He’ll take the floor in Game 3 on the heels of a 30-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Edwards is questionable for the third time already in the series. He’s ultimately been upgraded to available prior to each game so far, with that potentially being the case for Game 3. The superstar guard totaled 30 points and 10 rebounds in an impressive Game 2 victory for the Timberwolves, who will look to capitalize on their home-court advantage on Thursday. Should Edwards play, he’ll have a chance to put up more big numbers.

Edwards is still getting his stamina up to par after missing a large portion of the final month of the regular season. And playing at altitude may not have helped in Saturday’s series opener, but he was better in Game 2. Edwards scored 20 points in the first half and finished with a 30-point double-double as part of a complete stat line. As a result, Minnesota heads home with the series tied at one game apiece. Game 3 is on Thursday night.

As expected, Edwards is officially good to go after initially being questionable for Game 2. He’ll take on his usual high-usage role as the Timberwolves look to even the series.

Edwards is showing up on Sunday’s injury report with a knee issue, likely the same injury that gave him issues and caused him to miss time down the stretch of the regular season. His potential absence would serve as a big blow to the Timberwolves as they look to even up the series. But even if he does play, he’ll likely need to improve on the inefficient 22-point performance he had in Game 1.

Edwards may have led the Timberwolves in scoring in Saturday’s series opener, but he still did not look like his usual explosive self. A 55.4 percent shooter from inside the arc during the regular season, the Timberwolves’ star made half of his attempts in Game 1. That isn’t too big of a drop, but when combined with a 2-of-9 afternoon from three, there are some things for Edwards to clean up. The Timberwolves will look to even the series on Monday night.

DiVincenzo was the only regular Minnesota starter that played in Sunday’s regular season finale. The Timberwolves will have their usual starting lineup back for Game 1 of the playoffs, led by superstar guard Anthony Edwards, who missed Sunday’s game with knee injury management.

Edwards was initially listed as questionable for Saturday’s Game 1 against the Nuggets as he continues to manage a knee injury. Edwards missed the regular season finale, but with playoff stakes on the line he wasn’t in danger of missing the start of the Timberwolves’ opening series.

Edwards has dealt with a knee issue since the latter part of the regular season, causing him to recently miss the finale against the Pelicans. However, the superstar guard is officially questionable for the postseason opener, giving him a real chance to take the floor. Edwards averaged 30.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in three games against Denver this season. His availability will likely have a massive impact on the series.

Regardless of what happens on Sunday, the Timberwolves will be the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. So, Edwards, McDaniels and Anderson are among the many rotation players who won’t be available for the regular-season finale. Seldom-used options like Zyon Pullin and Julian Phillips are likely to play rotation minutes, and Donte DiVincenzo may play a few minutes in what will be his 82nd game of the season.

While Edwards has played in three games since his initial return from a right knee injury, Friday’s contest was the first in which he looked like his usual self. The Timberwolves’ star shot 50 percent from the field overall and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. Edwards played 27 minutes against the Rockets; with Minnesota locked into the No. 6 seed, there’s no reason for the Timberwolves to push their key players too far in the final two games of the regular season.

Edwards has missed 10 of the Timberwolves’ last 12 games, with his right knee causing most of the absences. If he can’t play on Friday but Ayo Dosunmu (calf) can, Ayo is likely to start alongside Donte DiVincenzo and Jaden McDaniels on the perimeter.

Edwards will remain out for a second straight game, which means Mike Conley should get another start in his place. However, Bones Hyland played a larger role off the bench and was far more productive than Conley was. Hyland should be the preferred streaming option.

Edwards has now missed eight of Minnesota’s last ten games, which is a major concern for the Timberwolves heading into the postseason. Mike Conley is the likely replacement in the starting lineup, but Bones Hyland offers a higher streaming ceiling when Edwards sits.

Edwards struggled in Friday’s loss to the 76ers, shooting 3-of-15 from the field. If he’s unable to play, Mike Conley would start, but this does more for the fantasy values of Ayo Dosunmu and Bones Hyland.

Back in the Timberwolves’ lineup after a one-game absence, Edwards had a brutal night shooting the basketball. He missed all seven of his three-point attempts while shooting less than 40 percent from two. Give the 76ers credit for their work defensively, but this was a subpar performance from Edwards. He’ll look to bounce back on Sunday when the Timberwolves host the Hornets.

Edwards (knee, illness) is back and will start for the Wolves following a one-game absence. The superstar guard will step in as Minnesota’s clear-cut best fantasy option, though Dosunmu, Gobert, and Randle all provide different levels of value.

Edwards is back after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Pistons. His return will push Mike Conley to the bench, eliminating what little streaming value the veteran point guard possesses.

Edwards returned from a six-game absence on Monday but was forced to sit out Thursday’s matchup with the Pistons. He’s got a chance to return on the second leg of Minnesota’s back-to-back set, but if Edwards is sidelined again, Mike Conley, Ayo Dosunmu and Bones Hyland would all benefit from a fantasy standpoint.

Edwards played 23 minutes in his return to the court on Monday, with Mike Conley making another start due to “nature calling” for the Timberwolves’ star. If Edwards can’t play against the Pistons, Conley would get another start. This also raises the fantasy ceiling for Ayo Dosunmu, who is replacing Jaden McDaniels (knee) in the starting lineup.

Edwards didn’t start Monday’s game, despite initially being tabbed as a starter in his return from a six-game absence. He eventually checked in off the bench and produced in his 23 minutes during the 30-point victory. Edwards shot the ball efficiently and made some plays as a passer, too, showing that it likely won’t take long for him to get right back in the swing of things. He’ll have seven more games to get comfortable before the regular season ends, but fantasy managers are hoping it takes far less time than that.

Edwards will return to the Wolves’ starting lineup in his first game back from a knee injury. He’ll join three of the usual starters and Dosunmu, who is making a spot start against the Mavericks thanks to Jaden McDaniels’ knee injury. Minnesota, the fifth seed in the Western Conference, currently has the same record as Houston, which occupies the sixth seed. Each game down the stretch of the regular season could have an impact on the playoff picture — including Monday’s contest.

Edwards’ return from a six-game absence will be a huge boost for the Timberwolves, who are still battling for seeding in the Western Conference. The versatile shooting guard is averaging a career-high 29.5 points per game this season on very good 49.2/40.2/79.6 shooting splits. His return comes at an even more important time for the Wolves, following Jaden McDaniels’ knee injury. Obviously, Edwards should be a lock in fantasy lineups throughout Championship Week.

Ant-Man will remain on the sideline as his extended absence continues. Dosunmu has a chance to return following a one-game absence, but if he’s ruled out, Minnesota’s backcourt depth will be thin. Mike Conley could see boosted playing time, but Bones Hyland would be the biggest beneficiary from a fantasy standpoint.
