Edwards played a pivotal role for Philadelphia down the home stretch in this one, knocking down 5-of-6 three-point attempts, including a pair down the home stretch to help erase an eight-point deficit over the final six minutes. His only miss of the night set up teammate Kelly Oubre Jr.’s go-ahead layup with just 8.7 second left in the contest. The 21-year-old saw a season-high 26 minutes in this one with franchise cornerstone Joel Embiid out with right knee soreness and Jared McCain limited to just six minutes while dealing with thumb and knee issues. The 76ers are back in action on Friday evening with a road tilt against the Pistons and a red-hot Cade Cunningham.

Embiid is back after sitting out Monday’s win over the Magic. However, he’ll be limited to 20 minutes, so fantasy managers may not get the explosive outing they’re hoping for. Jabari Walker and Adem Bona will come off the bench after starting on Monday, with Edwards replacing the former. Washington has less size in its frontcourt than Orlando, so the 76ers are starting with a smaller lineup.

Edwards, listed as probable on the initial injury report, has been upgraded to available. He can provide additional depth off the bench but is unlikely to get the opportunities to impact fantasy basketball. Edwards played just under one minute in Wednesday’s win over the Celtics.

Edwards should be good to go, though he only played a grand total of six seconds in the season opener. He is expected to be available if needed, but he can’t be relied on for fantasy production.

There’s just one change to Philadelphia’s starting lineup, as Edwards slides in for the unavailable VJ Edgecombe, who has a sore hip. The move into the starting lineup allows Edwards to show he deserves rotation minutes during the regular season, and the same can be said for Barlow and Bona.

Between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, Edwards has played in four games this summer. Unfortunately, he’s only put together one solid offensive performance. The second-year wing shot 2-of-5 from beyond the arc on Thursday and did not offer much value elsewhere. If Philadelphia’s top wings are healthy, Edwards’ role will likely be limited next season. However, with his play late last season, the 76ers likely hoped for a more dominant Edwards this summer.

After two subpar shooting performances to open up Summer League, Edwards was much better on Tuesday. He made over half of his shot attempts, which including a trio of triples. Edwards will be part of the 76ers’ rotation next season, though it will be in a more limited capacity than it was during his rookie year. Still, he should be producing at a high level in Summer League, so we should see more games like this in Las Vegas.

Edwards had another subpar shooting night, but he was able to contribute a well-rounded stat line in Philly’s loss. Edwards is looking to build off of a productive rookie year, and the 76ers will be looking for him to dominate in Summer League. There’s plenty of room for improvement, but it has been a decent start for him.

After a successful rookie season following going undrafted last summer, Edwards earned a three-year contract last month. He’s playing in Summer League, but he should still compete for a spot in the rotation for the 76ers next season. However, if the team is healthier, he won’t have the same streaming appeal that he had for stretches as a rookie.

Edwards was one of the few bright spots for the 76ers last season, playing well enough to earn a two-year, rest-of-season contract just after the February trade deadline. That deal included a team option for the 2025-26 season. According to Charania, the 76ers have declined that option in order to give Edwards a three-year contract with two guaranteed years. This gives the young forward added security, and it may be possible for Edwards to earn rotation minutes on a healthy 76ers squad next season.

Edwards suffered a rib contusion during the first half of Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves and did not return. His absence means Lonnie Walker IV will move into the starting lineup after starting the second half of Saturday’s defeat.

While Edwards was injured during the first half of Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Lowry was inactive for that game. The rookie has been a starter when available, so his status will be far more impactful on fantasy leagues that remain active. Lonnie Walker IV started the second half of Saturday’s game and should retain that role if Edwards cannot play. As for Lowry, his availability does not significantly impact fantasy basketball.

Edwards suffered a rib contusion during the first half of Saturday’s game and will not return. The rookie played 11 minutes, finishing with five points, one rebound, one steal and one three-pointer. Lonnie Walker IV replaced Edwards in the lineup and would have the most to gain regarding fantasy value if Justin misses time.

Edwards continues to produce for the 76ers, extending his streak of games with at least 17 points to seven. Over the last two weeks, the undrafted rookie has offered fourth-round value in nine-cat formats. Edwards is rostered in 40 percent of Yahoo! leagues, so standard league managers have not been asleep at the wheel. But there are still spots where he can be found. Even with Philadelphia playing three games during Week 22, now is an excellent time for managers competing for league titles to add Edwards.

With the 76ers focused on strengthening their chances of holding onto their 2025 first-round pick, Edwards will play plenty between now and the end of the season. The good news for fantasy managers is that his minutes have not been “glorified cardio.” Over the past two weeks, Edwards has offered fifth-round value in eight-cat formats. The 76ers end Week 21 with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back, and fantasy managers should have Edwards on their radars.

Edwards has had a lot of success as an undrafted rookie out of Kentucky, and Monday’s game was just the latest chapter. He wasn’t able to score 20 points for a third-straight game, but he was able to set a new career-high for three-pointers. He has now scored at least 18 points and hit five triples in five consecutive games. Edwards should continue to get the opportunity to build on performances like this one for the remainder of the season.

Two days removed from scoring a career-high 25 points, Edwards dropped in another 22 on Sunday. And with the 76ers converting him to a standard contract just before the All-Star break, there’s no need for managers to concern themselves with the rookie running up against the 50-game limit that two-way players are held to. The 76ers have not said anything regarding Tyrese Maxey’s availability for the rest of the season, and Edwards is among the players who have received more opportunities in his absence.

The undrafted rookie has been a bright spot for Philadelphia this season, but this has been arguably his best stretch of the season. He has scored at least 18 points in three straight games and tied his career-high for scoring on Friday. Over Philly’s last four games, Edwards has averaged 18 points, 3.5 rebounds, two assists, 1.3 steals and 2.5 three-pointers, which has resulted in top-75 production during that stretch. He should continue to play a significant role for the rest of the season.

The 76ers were without Kelly Oubre Jr. and Paul George for Sunday’s game, so Edwards made his 15th start of the season. The rookie wing shot 50 percent from the field overall but was 0-of-4 from beyond the arc. The defensive stats were encouraging, however, and Edwards is a player who should not lack opportunities as the 76ers look to improve the likelihood that they’ll keep their top-6 protected first-round pick. The 76ers play four games during Week 20, starting with the Rockets on Monday.

Edwards has been a consistent starter for Philadelphia for well over a month now, but that hasn’t led to significant fantasy contributions. Guerschon Yabusele will be back after a one-game absence, and he could fill Edwards’ spot in the starting lineup if he misses this game. However, if Andre Drummond (toe) is also out, Ricky Council IV could slide in as a starter as well.

Edwards did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Timberwolves, sitting out the second game of Philadelphia’s back-to-back with a sprained left ankle. If allowed to play on Thursday, the rookie could be part of the starting lineup. Paul George is questionable, and Tyrese Maxey has already been ruled out due to a back injury.

Edwards moved into the starting lineup Monday against the Trail Blazers with Paul George out. The 76ers have multiple players listed as questionable Tuesday including Edwards himself. The 21-year-old small forward needs the team to be shorthanded to be worth streaming.
