Evbuomwan, who finished last season with the Nets on a two-way deal, was waived in late August. Over two NBA seasons, he’s appeared in 45 games for the Grizzlies, Pistons and Nets, averaging 8.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 22.9 minutes. Evbuomwan will likely be on an Exhibit 10 contract, putting him in a position to earn additional money if he’s waived and then spends 60 days with the Knicks’ G League affiliate.

While Evbuomwan did not shoot the ball well on Friday, his all-around ability was on display. In addition to his rebounding, the former Princeton standout can facilitate offensively. Evbuomwan is on a two-way deal, which will limit his opportunities once the regular season begins. However, given the amount of youth on Brooklyn’s roster, there may come times when Tosan is allowed to play rotation minutes. Whether or not he’s worth streaming in those spots will depend on the health of those ahead of him in the pecking order.
