Filipowski was hardly efficient offensively in this one. Still, the 22-year-old center played 38 minutes despite the blowout loss and also added major value with rebounds and assists. Filipowski has provided top-25 per game value over the last two weeks. The Jazz have three games in the final week of the regular season, starting with a matchup against the Pelicans on Tuesday.

Filipowski finished the night as one of two Jazz players to reach the 20-point mark. His scoring came in a fairly diverse manner — three-pointers, two-pointers, and free throws were all factors. And although he only played 31 minutes, Filiposwki was still able to secure double-digit rebounds before the final horn sounded. He’s now gone for 20 or more points in four straight games and will have a chance to extend that streak to five games against the Rockets on Friday.

Filipowski has scored at least 20 points in three straight games, but Monday’s double-double was his first since a March 9 win over the Warriors. Interestingly, he only played 24 minutes against the Cavaliers, likely a byproduct of Evan Mobley doing whatever he wanted in the post. The role Filipowski currently has won’t align with his role when next season begins, especially if Utah re-signs Walker Kessler. To carve out a consistent role for himself in 2026-27, he has to make strides defensively.

After putting up 25 points in Friday’s loss to the Nuggets, Filipowski was one point better on Saturday. The second-year center shot just over 71 percent from the field, and the overall stat line was excellent. Filipowski playing both games of the back-to-back at this point in the season is encouraging for fantasy managers, especially since Utah’s Week 23 is a four-game week and doesn’t include a back-to-back.

With how the Jazz have been operating recently, Filipowski likely won’t play more minutes than that often, especially in tight games. Filipowski was inserted into the starting lineup for Friday’s game, as the Jazz were without Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkić. Unfortunately, he wasn’t on the floor for long before a bloody nose sent the second-year center/forward to the locker room early in the first quarter. Filipowski returned and went on to play 28 minutes, and the stat line was good. Friday’s effort was a reminder of why he has value during the silly season, even if it can be difficult to figure out how much Filipowski will play on any given night.

He was also part of the closing unit since head coach Will Hardy once again benched the veterans at the end of the game. While Jusuf Nurkić was made available for Tuesday’s game, he never played. While that was an infuriating development for those who have the veteran center rostered, that was good news for those who have Filipowski. The second-year forward/center recorded a double-double, with the 16 rebounds being two shy of his career-high. Even with the Jazz adding Jaren Jackson Jr. via trade, the clear focus for the rest of the season is to do what they can to hold onto their top-8 protected lottery pick. That means playing time should not be a concern for Filipowski, especially after the All-Star break.

Filipowski had been starting the last three games for Utah, but with Jusuf Nurkić back in the rotation, he started and pushed Filipowski to the bench. Still, he was still productive in 26 minutes. Over his last four games, Filipowski has averaged 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He remains a worthy stash option, but he should still provide some value right now.

Filipowski should be a silly season standout in Utah, and the time is now to add him, given how the Jazz have handled Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkić recently.

Lauri Markkanenis unavailable for the Jazz, while Jusuf Nurkić is available off the bench. The good news is that Ace Bailey is back in the starting lineup for the first time since December 26. Also joining the lineup are Collier and Filipowski. Get used to the Jazz rolling out lineups like this the rest of the way, as their 2026 first-round pick is top-8 protected (Oklahoma City gets it otherwise).
