Filipowski was inserted into the starting lineup for Friday’s game, as the Jazz were without Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkić. Unfortunately, he wasn’t on the floor for long before a bloody nose sent the second-year center/forward to the locker room early in the first quarter. Filipowski returned and went on to play 28 minutes, and the stat line was good. Friday’s effort was a reminder of why he has value during the silly season, even if it can be difficult to figure out how much Filipowski will play on any given night.

Filipowski didn’t get the starting nod, but he was able to record a double-double for the fourth time in his last six games. He was also part of the closing unit since head coach Will Hardy once again benched the veterans at the end of the game. Filipowski should be able to have more outings like this one over the final two months of the season, making him worth stashing.

While Jusuf Nurkić was made available for Tuesday’s game, he never played. While that was an infuriating development for those who have the veteran center rostered, that was good news for those who have Filipowski. The second-year forward/center recorded a double-double, with the 16 rebounds being two shy of his career-high. Even with the Jazz adding Jaren Jackson Jr. via trade, the clear focus for the rest of the season is to do what they can to hold onto their top-8 protected lottery pick. That means playing time should not be a concern for Filipowski, especially after the All-Star break.

Filipowski had been starting the last three games for Utah, but with Jusuf Nurkić back in the rotation, he started and pushed Filipowski to the bench. Still, he was still productive in 26 minutes. Over his last four games, Filipowski has averaged 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He remains a worthy stash option, but he should still provide some value right now.

Given how ball-dominant Utah’s young guards are, Filipowski will need to do more in other areas to offer consistent fantasy value. That was the case on Saturday, as he recorded his third double-double of the season and dished out five assists. Filipowski should be a silly season standout in Utah, and the time is now to add him, given how the Jazz have handled Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkić recently.

Filipowski was one of four Jazz players to score in double figures on Wednesday, with his nine-point third quarter giving him nearly half of his scoring total, while his seven rebounds for the game tied a team-high. Filipowski has had an unspectacular sophomore season as a part-time starter. He’ll have a chance to build on Wednesday’s performance on Thursday against the Mavericks.

Lauri Markkanenis unavailable for the Jazz, while Jusuf Nurkić is available off the bench. The good news is that Ace Bailey is back in the starting lineup for the first time since December 26. Also joining the lineup are Collier and Filipowski. Get used to the Jazz rolling out lineups like this the rest of the way, as their 2026 first-round pick is top-8 protected (Oklahoma City gets it otherwise).

With Lauri Markkanen (groin) and Jusuf Nurkić (rest) sidelined, Filipowski returned to the starting unit for this game. It wasn’t enough for Utah to get a win, but he led the Jazz in scoring and matched his season high for both points and rebounds. Filipowski should shine down the stretch of the season, but his value at this point is tied to the availability of Markkanen and Nurkić. When he is given the chance, he is more than capable of nights like this.

A season-high 38 minutes allowed Filipowski to produce some of his best work of the season. In his minutes, efficient shooting both inside and outside the arc helped him set a new high in points on the season, which was only the third-most on the Mavs on Monday. Filipowski’s high-scoring performance came with Jusuf Nurkic (rest) on the sideline for Monday’s contest, but when Nurkic returns, the versatile forward will likely head back to the bench to play a more reduced role.

According to Jazz head coach Will Hardy, the team’s training staff recommended a night off for Nurkić, so he will not be available on Monday. The void will be filled by Filipowski, who has performed relatively well this season when moved into the starting lineup. He’s worth adding for Monday’s five-game slate.

Filipowski, who has hit double figures in five straight games, achieved two firsts on Sunday. In addition to recording his first 20-point game, the second-year center finished with his first double-double of the season. With Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkić each missing a game, Filipowski has provided third-round fantasy value over the past week. While he can certainly be a “silly season” standout, Filipowski has the potential to provide added value well before the season reaches that point.

With Jusuf Nurkić (rib) unavailable, Filipowski made his first start since Halloween and sixth of the season on Thursday. All that was missing from the second-year center’s stat line was a blocked shot, but many fantasy managers will take what Filipowski did bring to the table. Rostered in 18 percent of Yahoo! leagues, his fantasy value in the short term hinges upon Nurkić’s availability. However, there’s likely to come a point later in the season when the Jazz prioritize getting young players like Filipowski even more minutes than they’re already playing.

Due to a right rib contusion, starting center Jusuf Nurkić will not play on Thursday. His spot in the lineup will be filled by Filipowski, who is worth streaming. He should be most valuable later in the season, especially if the Jazz aren’t in contention for a postseason spot as many expect.

Filipowski logged 31 minutes off the bench, which can be attributed to the lopsided score. That was a new season high for minutes, so while he was semi-productive during his time on the floor, he won’t see this many minutes often. It’s good to see him have a productive night as a data point for silly season and dynasty leagues, but it’s unlikely this kickstarts a strong run for him.

Filipowsk was back in the Jazz lineup after missing a game with a sprained right wrist. The injury didn’t appear to cause him any trouble, as evidenced by the production. While Taylor Hendricks (1/3/2/1) also returned to action on Friday, Filipowski offers a higher ceiling in the short term and for the rest of the season. Neither should be rostered right now, but they’re worth watching as early preparation for the “silly season.”

Filipowski sat out Tuesday, but he’s ready to re-join Utah’s lineup following a one-game absence. His return should mean reduced playing time for Kyle Anderson, who logged 21 minutes in Filipowski’s absence.

Due to a sprained right wrist, Filipowski did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Lakers. His absence factored into Kyle Anderson playing 20 minutes off the bench. Slo Mo’s playing time will decrease if Filipowski plays, but neither will impact fantasy basketball at this point in the season. However, Filipowski will be worth rostering after the February trade deadline.

Initially questionable for Tuesday’s game, Filipowski is out with a sprained right (shooting) wrist. His absence could free up a few more minutes for Cody Williams, but only if Kyle Anderson and Taylor Hendricks don’t play. Anderson and Hendricks remain questionable for Tuesday’s game.

Filipowski played 21 minutes in Sunday’s double-overtime win over the Bulls, with starting center Jusuf Nurkić logging 38. Filipowski’s potential absence would free up minutes for multiple players, including Brice Sensabaugh and Cody Williams. Also, Kyle Anderson could pick up some playing time if he’s cleared to return from a back injury.

The Jazz starting lineup will raise some eyebrows, as Mykhailiuk and Filipowski are among the first five. The former filled that role throughout the preseason, while the latter started Utah’s preseason finale after being limited during training camp. Filipowski is the superior option for fantasy managers, as he offers a more varied offensive repertoire than Mykhailiuk. Also, Svi’s insertion into the lineup may be due to Ace Bailey (illness) being under a minutes restriction. George will start at point guard, as Isaiah Collier (hamstring) is not ready to return to action.

After offering limited production in his first action of the preseason on Monday, Filipowski was slightly better on Thursday. And his role changed, with the second-year forward/center starting while Taylor Hendricks (8/7/2 with one three-pointer in 24 minutes) came off the bench. Kyle offers a higher offensive ceiling, but Hendricks is the superior defender. While either one can begin the regular season as the starter, that may be a timeshare situation that limits the fantasy ceilings of both players.

Due to lower back injury management, Filipowski has been limited during the preseason, sitting out Utah’s first two preseason games. While he’s unlikely to begin the regular season as a starter, the second-year post player’s minutes will likely increase after an impressive showing at Summer League. Filipowski will be worth taking a late-round flier on, especially with Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler’s availability concerns.

Filipowski averaged 29.3 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting 39 percent from behind the three-point line. With Utah trading John Collins, there’s an opening in the starting lineup for the 21-year-old power forward. Filipowski did just about everything he could this summer to stake his claim on the starting power forward job.

Given how well Filipowski has played in Utah’s three games in Las Vegas, Monday’s overtime defeat may be the last time he plays until the start of the 2025-26 season. The second-year forward/center was outstanding against the Spurs, producing another efficient offensive effort while also grabbing 11 rebounds. Filipowski’s emphatic dunk with 1.9 seconds remaining in overtime tied the game at 91, but a Riley Minix turnaround as time expired gave San Antonio the win.

Two days removed from putting on a show with a 32-point effort against the Hornets, Filipowski was not as effective on Sunday. He still surpassed 20 points, but sometimes the Jazz forward/center was not as decisive as he needed to be offensively. Instead of making quick moves to take advantage of mismatches, Filipowski was too deliberate at times, thus eliminating whatever advantage he had. With Utah trading John Collins, there’s an opening in the starting lineup. While Filipowski may be a candidate, the same can be said for Brice Sensabaugh, who played so well in Salt Lake City that the Jazz shut him down before arriving in Las Vegas.

While the Jazz ultimately lost the game, Filipowski’s 32 points in 30 minutes were a game-high. The 21-year-old power forward took full advantage of the Summer League rules and committed eight personal fouls. Filipowski figures to be one of the Jazz’ primary backup big men this year.

It was a full stat line from Filipowski in the win over OKC. There were positives, like the dominance on the glass, the deep-range shooting and the defensive stats. However, there were also negatives, like the turnovers. Filipowski is coming off a strong rookie season and should feature prominently in the rotation next season for Utah.

Filipowski wasn’t quite as effective as a scoring option in Utah’s second Summer League game, but he was more impactful on the glass. He had 22 points on Saturday, but he only grabbed six rebounds in that game. With John Collins now in Los Angeles, Filipowski will certainly be in line to play a prominent reserve role for the Jazz.

It wasn’t a perfect performance from Filipowski, but he certainly was a beast on the offensive end, which helped Utah secure the win to kick off the Salt Lake City Summer League for the home team. He has a lot to clean up on the defensive end, but the offensive production should be there for the rest of the summer and into next season.

Two days after recording a monster 30/18 double-double, Filipowski provided an encore, though it was nowhere near as good as the original. The rookie has grabbed at least nine rebounds in seven consecutive games and has four double-doubles during that stretch. He slipped to the second round of the draft last summer, but the early returns suggest he was one of the biggest steals of the draft. Filipowski should once again play a large role in Minnesota on Sunday to wrap up his rookie season.
