Keyonte George, Svi Mykhailiuk, Lauri Markkanen, Kyle Filipowski and Walker Kessler will start Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.

The Jazz starting lineup will raise some eyebrows, as Mykhailiuk and Filipowski are among the first five. The former filled that role throughout the preseason, while the latter started Utah’s preseason finale after being limited during training camp. Filipowski is the superior option for fantasy managers, as he offers a more varied offensive repertoire than Mykhailiuk. Also, Svi’s insertion into the lineup may be due to Ace Bailey (illness) being under a minutes restriction. George will start at point guard, as Isaiah Collier (hamstring) is not ready to return to action.

    Recap

Kyle Filipowski accumulated nine points (2-of-7 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, two steals and one three-pointer in Thursday’s exhibition against the Trail Blazers.

After offering limited production in his first action of the preseason on Monday, Filipowski was slightly better on Thursday. And his role changed, with the second-year forward/center starting while Taylor Hendricks (8/7/2 with one three-pointer in 24 minutes) came off the bench. Kyle offers a higher offensive ceiling, but Hendricks is the superior defender. While either one can begin the regular season as the starter, that may be a timeshare situation that limits the fantasy ceilings of both players.

    Injury

Kyle Filipowski (back) was a full participant in Sunday’s practice.

Due to lower back injury management, Filipowski has been limited during the preseason, sitting out Utah’s first two preseason games. While he’s unlikely to begin the regular season as a starter, the second-year post player’s minutes will likely increase after an impressive showing at Summer League. Filipowski will be worth taking a late-round flier on, especially with Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler’s availability concerns.

Kyle Filipowski was named the Summer League MVP.

Filipowski averaged 29.3 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting 39 percent from behind the three-point line. With Utah trading John Collins, there’s an opening in the starting lineup for the 21-year-old power forward. Filipowski did just about everything he could this summer to stake his claim on the starting power forward job.

    Recap

Kyle Filipowski amassed 35 points (11-of-19 FGs, 8-of-12 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal and five three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Spurs.

Given how well Filipowski has played in Utah’s three games in Las Vegas, Monday’s overtime defeat may be the last time he plays until the start of the 2025-26 season. The second-year forward/center was outstanding against the Spurs, producing another efficient offensive effort while also grabbing 11 rebounds. Filipowski’s emphatic dunk with 1.9 seconds remaining in overtime tied the game at 91, but a Riley Minix turnaround as time expired gave San Antonio the win.

    Recap

Kyle Filipowski accumulated 21 points (9-of-21 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one three-pointer in Sunday’s loss to the Warriors.

Two days removed from putting on a show with a 32-point effort against the Hornets, Filipowski was not as effective on Sunday. He still surpassed 20 points, but sometimes the Jazz forward/center was not as decisive as he needed to be offensively. Instead of making quick moves to take advantage of mismatches, Filipowski was too deliberate at times, thus eliminating whatever advantage he had. With Utah trading John Collins, there’s an opening in the starting lineup. While Filipowski may be a candidate, the same can be said for Brice Sensabaugh, who played so well in Salt Lake City that the Jazz shut him down before arriving in Las Vegas.

Kyle Filipowski had 32 points (12-of-17 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, one block and three three-pointers in the Jazz’ 111-105 loss to the Hornets on Friday.

While the Jazz ultimately lost the game, Filipowski’s 32 points in 30 minutes were a game-high. The 21-year-old power forward took full advantage of the Summer League rules and committed eight personal fouls. Filipowski figures to be one of the Jazz’ primary backup big men this year.

Kyle Filipowski recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 18 points (5-of-12 FGs), 15 rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks, two three-pointers and seven turnovers against the Thunder.

It was a full stat line from Filipowski in the win over OKC. There were positives, like the dominance on the glass, the deep-range shooting and the defensive stats. However, there were also negatives, like the turnovers. Filipowski is coming off a strong rookie season and should feature prominently in the rotation next season for Utah.

Kyle Filipowski recorded a double-double on Monday with 11 points (4-of-12 FGs), 13 rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block against the Grizzlies.

Filipowski wasn’t quite as effective as a scoring option in Utah’s second Summer League game, but he was more impactful on the glass. He had 22 points on Saturday, but he only grabbed six rebounds in that game. With John Collins now in Los Angeles, Filipowski will certainly be in line to play a prominent reserve role for the Jazz.

Kyle Filipowski led the Jazz with 22 points (8-of-11 FGs), six rebounds, two assists, one block and two three-pointers against the 76ers on Saturday.

It wasn’t a perfect performance from Filipowski, but he certainly was a beast on the offensive end, which helped Utah secure the win to kick off the Salt Lake City Summer League for the home team. He has a lot to clean up on the defensive end, but the offensive production should be there for the rest of the summer and into next season.

Kyle Filipowski recorded a double-double on Friday with 15 points (7-of-17 FGs), 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer against the Thunder.

Two days after recording a monster 30/18 double-double, Filipowski provided an encore, though it was nowhere near as good as the original. The rookie has grabbed at least nine rebounds in seven consecutive games and has four double-doubles during that stretch. He slipped to the second round of the draft last summer, but the early returns suggest he was one of the biggest steals of the draft. Filipowski should once again play a large role in Minnesota on Sunday to wrap up his rookie season.

    Recap

Kyle Filipowski had 14 points (6-of-16 FGs), 13 rebounds, two assists and two three-pointers against the Hornets on Monday.

Filipowski got another start with Walker Kessler and Lauri Markkanen out against the Hornets Monday. The 21-year-old power forward was hardly efficient on offense, going 2-of-8 from behind the three-point line. That was a little out of character for a player shooting 51 percent on the season, including 38 percent behind the arc. He should continue to hold value in deeper formats as long as he’s in the starting lineup.

Kyle Filipowski accumulated 18 points (7-of-12 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), 13 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one three-pointer in 34 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Nuggets.

Rostered in 29 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Filipowski has offered 11th-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. While that isn’t excellent fantasy value, the situation in Utah is such that the rookie big is one of the few players who can be relied upon. Filipowski has scored 13 points or more in four straight outings and has hit double figures in rebounds six times since February 28. The Jazz won’t play again during Week 21, but they have four games on the Week 22 schedule.

Kyle Filipowski accounted for 18 points (7-of-13 FGs), 13 rebounds, one assist and four three-pointers in 29 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Cavaliers.

Filipowski has started three of Utah’s last six games, and as one would expect, he’s been more productive when given those opportunities. The rookie has recorded two double-doubles during this stretch. While his lack of defensive production limits his ceiling, Filipowski is worth the risk due to Lauri Markkanen’s questionable availability. The negative heading into Week 21 is Utah’s schedule. The Jazz play three games and are inactive for the final two days of the week.

The Jazz are starting Isaiah Collier, Collin Sexton, Cody Williams, Kyle Filipowski, and Walker Kessler against the Cavaliers on Sunday.

Filipowski has been coming off the bench but has bumped Svi Mykahiliuk out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday’s game. The versatile forward’s fantasy ceiling has been raised, but depending on Lauri Markkanen’s availability this could just be a short-term boost.

Kyle Filipowski accounted for 21 points (8-of-11 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, two assists and four three-pointers in 21 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Wizards.

Filipowski started Wednesday’s game, as Lauri Markkanen was out for personal reasons. The rookie has put together some solid performances during the post-break portion of the schedule, and Wednesday’s was one of his best. Filipowski has scored 20 points or more five times since the All-Star break and has provided 12th-round value in eight-cat formats. He’s worth holding onto for the rest of the season because even when they’re available, Markkanen and Walker Kessler have played fewer minutes than usual. Kessler (7/5/2/1/1) only played 15 minutes in Wednesday’s victory.

Isaiah Collier, Collin Sexton, Cody Williams, Kyle Filipowski and Walker Kessler will start Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.

The Jazz are without Lauri Markkanen for Wednesday’s game as he is unavailable for personal reasons. The two changes to the Jazz starting lineup are Sexton and Filipowski, with Micah Potter heading to the bench. Sexton is already rostered in most leagues, while Filipowski is worth holding onto for the rest of the season due to Utah’s availability issues.

Kyle Filipowski had 18 points (5-of-11 FGs), 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers against the Raptors on Friday.

Walker Kessler was technically available Friday, but he began the game on the bench and was a DNP-CD. That allowed Filipowski to move into the starting lineup, where he fared well against the Raptors. The 21-year-old power forward had 18 points on 11 shots including three 3-pointers and pulled down 11 rebounds to earn a double-double. Filipowski is going to continue to be a worthwhile streamer if the Jazz make a habit of holding Kessler out down the stretch.

Williams and Filipowski will fill the resulting voids, with the latter replacing Walker Kessler, who will come off the bench. FIlipowski is the player fantasy managers should look to stream. Kyle Filipowski amassed 25 points (8-of-16 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs(, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and four three-pointers in 31 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the 76ers.

Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Filipowski has been consistently productive since the All-Star break. A double-digit scorer in six straight and eight of Utah’s 10 post-break games, the rookie is ranked just outside the top 100 in eight-cat formats. Filipowski’s defensive production has been lackluster most nights, but he accumulated three steals on Sunday. He’s rostered in 35 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and that figure should increase ahead of Utah’s four-game Week 19.

With Walker Kessler in the starting lineup, Filipowski was used in a reserve role Friday night. The good news for fantasy managers is that the change did not prohibit him from providing solid fantasy value. Filipowski shot 70 percent from the field and grabbed five rebounds, and the two steals were a nice bonus for those who have him in their lineups. Rostered in 32 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s worth holding onto for the rest of the season.

The Jazz had multiple key players out against the Wizards and Filipowski made the most of his 29 minutes as he had 23 points and 13 rebounds. With Walker Kessler returning to the Jazz lineup on Monday, Filipowski was relegated to the bench. However, that did not prevent the rookie from providing reliable fantasy value, scoring a season-high 25 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Filipowski did not record any defensive stats, but fantasy managers received their money’s worth in points, rebounds and three-pointers. Given Utah’s place in the standings, Filipowski won’t lack opportunities as the season approaches its conclusion. He should be rostered in more than 17 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Kyle Filipowski accumulated 12 points (5-of-12 FGs), 11 rebounds, seven assists, one block and two three-pointers in 27 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Pelicans.

Filipowski has recorded a double-double in three of his last four games. While the rookie’s fantasy value hasn’t increased as much as some managers would prefer, he’s worth having on nights when the Jazz are without Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler. Also performing well on Sunday was Oscar Tshiebwe, who chipped in with 16 points, 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes off the bench. While Filipowski (13 percent rostered) should be the priority target, deep-league managers shouldn’t sleep on Tshiebwe if he’s going to play 20 minutes (or more) on nights when Markkanen and Kessler are out.
