Gillespie continues to be one of the best surprises of the season. The 26-year-old shooting guard has established himself as a key member of the Suns’ lineup, contributing points, rebounds, assists, steals, threes and field goal percentage. Gillespie is 15th overall in per game value over the last two weeks. While his rise has mostly happened with Grayson Allen (knee) out of the lineup, don’t expect much to change with Gillespie upon Allen’s eventual return.

Gillespie has been an excellent fantasy option for most of this season, but his recent stretch has been one of his best this season. Over his last three games, he has averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 5.0 three-pointers per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the floor. Gillespie is somehow available in 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but he should be considered a must-roster player.

Gillespie has now hit at least four three-pointers in four straight games, the second time he’s accomplished that feat this season. The Suns guard has emerged as a dependable fantasy option, whether he comes off the bench or starts as he currently is. However, despite being close to a top-50 player, Gillespie is still rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues. That number should increase ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers.

Gillespie continues to shine for the Suns, having scored in double figures in six straight and 18 of his last 19 appearances. The undrafted point guard was productive across the board on Saturday, only missing a blocked shot from his final stat line. Over the past month, Gillespie has provided top-50 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The Suns open a four-game Week 11 on Monday against the Wizards.

Gillespie continues to shine as the Suns’ starting point guard. He’s scored 16 points in three straight games, while Tuesday’s assist tally was the highest for the guard since November 26 against the Kings. Still rostered in 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Gillespie has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past month. With Jalen Green (hamstring) out for a few more weeks, Gillespie is worth a look in some 12-team leagues.

Gillespie didn’t have a good night shooting the basketball, but he doesn’t need to explode offensively to offer solid value. The rebounds, assists and steals were certainly valuable to category league managers. His seventh-round value in eight-cat formats over the last two weeks aligns with his season-long production. Gillespie’s spot in the starting lineup appears to be safe until Jalen Green (hamstring) returns, and that may not happen for another few weeks.

With Devin Booker returning from a groin injury, the assumption was that Gillespie would head back to the bench. Suns head coach Jordan Ott went in another direction, deciding to move Royce O’Neale (12/5/1/1 with four three-pointers) instead. Gillespie didn’t record the most impressive stat line, but sticking in the starting lineup and playing 37 minutes means that he still has life in fantasy leagues. The Suns play two games in Week 9, a Thursday/Saturday home-and-home against the Warriors.

Booker is back in the Suns’ lineup after a four-game absence, but it isn’t Gillespie who will be pushed to the bench. He remains with the starters, while Royce O’Neale will be asked to come off the bench. While he can still provide deep-league value in that role, O’Neale has a lower ceiling when used as a reserve.

Gillespie has emerged as a player worth considering in 12-team formats, especially with Devin Booker and Jalen Green sidelined by injuries. He’s been given a green light on offense, and the former two-way contract player has taken advantage. Gillespie scored 11 points in the fourth quarter on Monday, the second time this season that he’s proven to be the difference in a win over the Timberwolves. If Booker can’t play in Wednesday’s NBA Cup quarterfinal against the Thunder, Gillespie will be worth picking up in standard leagues.

The momentum from Monday’s 28-point outing against the Lakers did not carry over into Friday’s contest for Gillespie. He went 1-of-7 from deep and scored fewer than half the points he produced in Monday’s season-high performance. Still, Gillespie was the Suns’ third-leading scorer on the night and threw in a few assists along the way. He’ll need to have more productive games to be considered anything more than a fringe roster player in fantasy leagues. However, he’s proven recently capable of turning out some strong performances.

With Devin Booker exiting after just 10 minutes due to a groin injury, Gillespie joined Dillon Brooks in carrying the Suns to another impressive victory. The former Villanova Wildcat served the Lakers a season high in points and three-pointers, while matching his season average in assists along the way. Gillespie has been one of several Suns players to outperform expectations thus far, and should remain productive as Phoenix’s current starting point guard. He’s worthy of a roster spot in fantasy leagues.

Grayson Allen is out due to an illness, opening up a spot in the Suns’ starting lineup. Gillespie, who has played very well over the last few weeks, will fill the void, with Ryan Dunn coming off the bench in his first game back from a sprained wrist that cost him five games. Gillespie should already be rostered in deep leagues; add him if he’s sitting on your league’s waiver wire.

Gillespie continues to prove that he is a legitimate, reliable option for the Suns, and as this team gets healthy, head coach Jordan Ott is going to have some tough decisions to make. Gillespie has been starting in place of Grayson Allen (quad) and Jalen Green (hamstring) is still out as well. Gillespie has earned his place in the rotation, but there may not be enough minutes to go around. For now, he should be rostered everywhere, regardless of league format.

Having provided solid fantasy value while coming off the bench, Gillespie was inserted into the Suns’ starting lineup on Wednesday. He had another excellent night, finishing with a season-high point total. Also, the nine assists were the most in a game for Gillespie since October 27, when he dished out a career-high 13. Jordan Goodwin (7/8/2/2/1 with one three-pointer) was solid off the bench, but his fantasy value takes a hit with Gillespie replacing him in the starting lineup.

After Jordan Goodwin moved into the starting lineup for the last two games with Ryan Dunn unavailable, Suns head coach Jordan Ott has made a change. Gillespie, who has been an excellent fantasy asset recently, replaces Goodwin in the starting lineup. The change does raise the point guard’s ceiling, while Goodwin should still get good minutes off the bench. The other change is Williams, who’s back after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Rockets. Nick Richards will rejoin the second unit.

With Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks having fouled out, the Suns called on Gillespie in the final seconds as they looked to cap a wild rally at home. He answered the call, getting to his spot off the dribble and knocking down a fadeaway with 6.8 seconds remaining to cap a game-ending 9-0 run. Nicknamed “The Villain Jr.” (Brooks is Sr.), Gillespie has emerged as a player worth rostering amid the Suns’ backcourt injuries. Rostered in 19 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s ranked just outside the top-25 in nine-cat formats over the past week, and a top-100 player for the season.

Gillespie has been one of the Suns’ unsung heroes thus far, providing solid production off the bench. Tuesday’s performance was his best, with the third-year guard notching a season-high point total. With Jalen Green and Grayson Allen out due to injury, Gillespie is in a place where he can provide deep-league value. He’s been a 10th-round player in nine-cat formats this season and is now rostered in 18 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Gillespie wasn’t the replacement in the starting lineup for the injured Grayson Allen, but he continues to benefit from the absences of key guards. Gillespie finished Sunday’s defeat a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line, and he’s providing 10th-round value in nine-cat formats this season. Ryan Dunn, who started for Allen, finished with 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers. While he can be of use in deeper leagues, Gillespie is the player fantasy managers should seek first if Allen remains out.

Grayson Allen (quad) didn’t return for the second half of this game, which allowed Gillespie to start the third quarter in his place. Gillespie had already been producing well as a reserve, but if Allen remains out beyond this game, Gillespie will quickly become a must-roster player. This wasn’t his best performance, but he has been solid off the bench this year. Gillespie is currently available in 84 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Not on the radar for many fantasy managers during draft season, Gillespie has emerged as a reputable deep-league option. He recorded a complete stat line against the Grizzlies and played 31 minutes off the bench. Gillespie, who’s rostered in 10 percent of Yahoo! leagues, has clearly earned the trust of Suns head coach Jordan Ott. And with the Suns playing two more games during Week 2, adding Gillespie wouldn’t be a bad idea for deep-league managers needing a point guard.

Gillespie took on a starting role late last season for the Suns, but he has started this year in a reserve role. That hasn’t led to much production, but he shined brightly in this one. He set a new career-high for assists and turned in a full stat line. Gillespie may have earned more minutes with his performance, but that doesn’t mean he will play a large enough role consistently to be worth streaming in, especially with Jalen Green (hamstring) on the cusp of a return.

Gillespie played his first season with Phoenix on a two-way deal, but he’ll get a standard contract after solid play in 2024-25. Gillespie could see meaningful rotation minutes for a new-look Suns team that’s still figuring out its identity post-Kevin Durant.

It will reportedly be a one-year deal. Gillespie played his first season with Phoenix on a two-way deal, but he’ll get a standard contract after solid play in 2024-25. Gillespie could see meaningful rotation minutes for a new-look Suns team that’s still figuring out its identity post-Kevin Durant.

Gillespie remains on a two-way contract, making games like Friday’s extremely important as he looks to carve out a consistent role. He played well enough over the past month to earn rotation minutes in Phoenix, but the franchise appears to be headed for significant changes once this disappointing season concludes. Sunday’s game in Sacramento should allow Gillespie to log substantial minutes, especially if the Suns sit Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

This was Gillespie’s eighth-straight game in the starting lineup, and after scoring just three points on Sunday, he was more effective on Tuesday, though the result was the same. Phoenix dropped a fourth-straight game despite Gillespie having a better night. He did most of his work in the first half, scoring 11 points before the break. As long as Bradley Beal (hamstring) remains sidelined, Gillespie should remain in the starting unit, though his production has been inconsistent, making him a difficult player to rely on.

Making his sixth straight start, Gillespie had the game of his life. The second-year man posted career highs in points and dimes and recorded his first career double-double. Games like this won’t be a regular occurrence for Gillespie, so temper expectations moving forward.

Gillespie got another start with Grayson Allen (foot) out again Friday. While it appears Allen is close to returning, Gillespie had another solid game with 13 points and three three-pointers in 23 minutes. He’s just a deep league option at best as the Suns don’t trust him to play major minutes even when he gets the chance to start.

Gillespie was Suns coach Mike Budenholzer’s choice to replace the injured Bradley Beal (hamstring) in the starting lineup on Monday. Unfortunately, he failed to provide much value in his 16 minutes on the court. Tyus Jones was solid off the bench, finishing with 15 points, three rebounds, four assists and four three-pointers in 27 minutes. While he hasn’t been as productive as many fantasy managers hoped during the preseason, Jones (61 percent rostered) is the only Suns guard worth adding with Beal sidelined.

The Suns have decided to go with Gillespie to fill the void left by Bradley Beal, who will miss at least one week with a hamstring injury. While the move into the starting lineup gives Gillespie an opportunity to achieve fantasy relevance, Tyus Jones is the safer streaming play despite remaining on the bench.

12 of Gillespie’s 15 minutes came in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s win, and that’s when he made his mark. All of his stats except one assist came in the final frame as he helped the Suns outscore the Clippers 43-22 in the fourth. Gillespie took on a larger role after Bradley Beal (groin) exited early, and his heroics ended up giving Phoenix the win. Gillespie knocked down a massive three-pointer late in the fourth that gave them a five-point lead late that they never relinquished. A performance like this could earn Gillespie more minutes, though he remains on a two-way contract, which makes him a risky player to roster.
