Ryan Nembhard’s recent struggles have prompted a change to the Mavericks’ starting lineup. He’ll head to the bench, leaving Flagg to handle the lead playmaker responsibilities, with Gafford moving into the starting lineup. This gets Davis to his preferred power forward role in a matchup with a bigger Rockets lineup.

Making a second straight start in place of the injured Anthony Davis, Gafford finished Monday’s defeat with one of his best stat lines of the season. In addition to recording his second double-double, the Mavericks’ center was responsible for four defensive contributions, his best output since December 20 against the 76ers. Gafford did take a quick trip to the locker room during Monday’s game, but the 26 minutes played were the most for him since November 24. Hopefully, Monday’s performance serves as a catalyst for a player who has offered 11th-round fantasy value this season.

Saturday’s game is the first for the Mavericks since losing Anthony Davis to a minor groin strain. Gafford moves back into the starting lineup, but his fantasy ceiling will only be affected if he’s able to play more minutes. As a starter, he has averaged 23.1 minutes per game. Moussa Cissé and Dwight Powell will be available to fill out the rotation at the center position. Also of note is Christie moving into the starting lineup, with Naji Marshall being pushed to the bench.

The Mavericks are without Anthony Davis for Monday’s game, but Gafford will be available after a three-game absence. However, while he is starting, Gafford will be limited to 17-20 minutes, so look for Dwight Powell and Moussa Cissé to take on the center job when he’s on the bench.

Initially questionable for Monday’s game, Gafford is back after a three-game absence. He’s struggled with his right ankle since initially spraining it during training camp, so his playing time will be limited to 17-20 minutes. Anthony Davis is out, so Gafford may start, but he played 17 and 14 minutes in his last two appearances. Dwight Powell’s playing time may increase, but he is not worth the risk in most fantasy leagues.

Gafford has missed Dallas’ last three games as he continues to struggle with a right ankle injury initially suffered during training camp. Dwight Powell has taken on the backup center duties in his absence and would continue to do so if Gafford can’t play on Monday.

Gafford will miss a third straight game with a lingering right ankle injury. The absence of him and Dereck Lively II means that Dwight Powell will be part of the rotation, serving mainly as Anthony Davis’ backup. There’s no need to consider adding Powell with a healthy AD in the fold.

Gafford has missed two straight and four of Dallas’s last five games as his right ankle continues to be an issue. With Dereck Lively II (foot) done for the season, the Mavericks will continue to start Anthony Davis at the center position. Dwight Powell will pick up rotation minutes off the bench if Gafford remains out.

Gafford was initially doubtful for Saturday night, so the downgrade in status was expected. Anthony Davis will once again handle most of the available minutes at the center position, with Dwight Powell serving as his primary backup.

Gafford injured his ankle against the Heat on Wednesday and subsequently missed Friday’s game against the Thunder. He’s unlikely to return Saturday given his doubtful listing. Anthony Davis is off the injury report, though, and should handle the majority of the center minutes for Dallas.

Gafford left Wednesday’s game against the Heat in the second half with an ankle injury. Anthony Davis started at center Wednesday and will continue to do so in Gafford’s absence. Dwight Powell could see rotation minutes, but isn’t worth considering as a fantasy basketball streamer.

Gafford exited Wednesday’s win over the Heat during the third quarter, resulting in Anthony Davis spending more time at the center position. Davis started at the five on Wednesday, and that will likely remain the case regardless of Gafford’s availability. Dwight Powell could potentially enter the rotation if Gafford sits, but this does not affect fantasy basketball.

Gafford continues to attempt to play through a lingering right ankle injury. Unfortunately, he had to leave Wednesday’s game during the third quarter and has since been ruled out for the rest of the night. With Dallas’ Week 7 slate concluding with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back, the few who have Gafford rostered should anticipate him missing at least one of those games. With Dereck Lively also out, that means more Anthony Davis at the center position as long as he’s able to play back-to-backs, which may not be the case.

Gafford is available after a two-game absence, giving the Mavericks a welcome infusion of depth in the frontcourt. He may start alongside Anthony Davis, which would shift AD to the four. If so, Naji Marshall could be the odd man out after filling in for P.J. Washington the last two games. However, Gafford’s playing time will be limited, so he’s more likely to come off the bench.

Gafford has missed the Mavericks’ last two games, leading to Anthony Davis serving as the starting center in Monday’s win over the Nuggets. Dwight Powell served as Davis’ backup in Denver, and that would likely remain the case if Gafford can’t play against Miami. Powell is not worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Gafford was listed as doubtful for this one, so it’s no surprise that he’ll be out. Anthony Davis will be back, and he should absorb most of Gafford’s minutes, with Dwight Powell and Moussa Cisse backing him up.

Gafford missed Saturday’s game, and with Anthony Davis also out, Dwight Powell ended up starting at center, with Moussa Cisse filling out the backup minutes. Gafford is expected to remain out, but AD should be back, leaving the backup minutes for Powell and Cisse to split.

Gafford is set to miss Saturday’s game against the Clippers for right ankle injury management reasons. With Anthony Davis already ruled out as well, the Mavericks will be severely shorthanded in the frontcourt. Moussa Cisse could move into the starting lineup given the injuries Dallas is dealing with.

Gafford was productive on the offense and defensive glass en route to recording a team-high in rebounds on Monday. And despite an unspectacular shooting percentage, he made his way into double figures as a scorer en route to collecting his first double-double of the season. Anthony Davis’ return is likely near, which could have implications for Gafford’s production going forward. Nonetheless, he was effective on Monday.

Gafford is back after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves for right ankle injury management. While Dereck Lively II is also available, Gafford could remain in the starting lineup. Regardless of which center Jason Kidd decides to start, Moussa Cissé’s playing time will decrease after he started on Monday.

Gafford sat out the second leg of the Mavericks’ back-to-back on Monday, but he’ll be back and likely return to the starting lineup. Gafford’s return will push Moussa Cisse to the bench, and with Dereck Lively II (knee) also back, Cisse’s role will likely be minimal, if he sees the floor at all.

Both of Dallas’ centers will get the night off as Dallas plays the second leg of a back-to-back set, and both should be back in action for Wednesday’s matchup with New York. Moussa Cisse, Dwight Powell and P.J. Washington should be the primary beneficiaries on Monday. Washington is the best option of the trio, though he is not widely available on the waiver wire. Cisse offers streaming appeal for managers in need of boards.

Despite playing on an ankle that still doesn’t appear to be fully healthy, Gafford was excellent in his 31 minutes on the court Sunday night. A double-digit scorer in three straight appearances, the Mavericks center notched his first 20-point game of the season. Add in the blocked shots, and Sunday was a good night to have Gafford rostered. He has already played both games of a back-to-back this season, which may bode well for Gafford’s availability for Monday’s game against the Timberwolves. However, he did admit after the game that he aggravated the ankle injury during overtime. Gafford, who said the plan was to travel to Minnesota for Monday’s game, should be considered questionable after logging a season-high 31 minutes.

Gafford had one of his more productive games of the season against the Suns, logging a season-high in rebounds while tying a season-high in points. He contributed on the defensive end with a few stocks and registered an efficient shooting performance after having shot 2-of-8 from the floor on Monday. While his final stats on Wednesday weren’t jaw-dropping, it had to feel good for Gafford to have a productive line after struggling in the three prior games.

Gafford was a game-time decision as he was dealing with an ankle injury. While he ultimately played 23 minutes with the Mavericks shorthanded in the frontcourt, he had a subpar offensive game with seven points on eight shots. Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II’s next chance to play for the Mavericks will come Wednesday against the Suns.

Gafford is good to go after initially being questionable with a sprained left ankle. He’ll man the starting center position, with Moussa Cissé serving as the backup. Gafford isn’t on an official minutes limit, but the ankle injuries will require the Mavericks to exercise caution.

Despite exiting Friday’s game against the Grizzlies early due to a sprained right ankle, Gafford started and played 19 minutes on Saturday. If he’s unable to play, the Mavericks may need to call on Moussa Cissé to fill the void, as Anthony Davis is questionable and Dereck Lively II is doubtful. Cissé played 19 minutes and contributed nine rebounds and three blocked shots on Saturday.

Gafford left Friday’s game against the Grizzlies with right ankle soreness and didn’t return. His status for Saturday is up in the air as he’s listed as questionable. Gafford joins Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II on the injury report as the Mavericks frontcourt has been decimated. Dwight Powell could see more minutes depending on who is available in the Mavericks frontcourt against the Wizards.

Gafford, who did not make his first appearance of the season until November 1 after spraining his right ankle early in the preseason, exited Friday’s game due to soreness in that same body part. That’s concerning, given the recent injury history and the absences of Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II. With Dallas visiting Washington on Saturday, we could see more of Dwight Powell on the floor out of necessity.
