Green, who made his first appearance of the season on Thursday, aggravated the right hamstring injury that sidelined him throughout the preseason during Saturday’s win over the Clippers. The Suns have not announced the severity of Green’s injury or how much time he’ll miss, but expect Grayson Allen to fill the void in the starting lineup. Allen should already be rostered in most 12-team leagues.

Green needed help leaving the court in the final minute of the first quarter after appearing to reaggravate a lingering right hamstring issue that kept him out of Phoenix’s first eight games. The 23-year-old was acquired from the Rockets in the Kevin Durant megatrade over the summer and scored 29 points on Thursday in his impressive Suns debut. Ryan Dunn and Grayson Allen will take on additional minutes if he’s forced to miss any additional time.

After missing the first eight games of the season, Green’s debut for the Suns went about as well as it could have. He only played 23 minutes, but that ended up being enough time for him to shine in his first game for the Suns. Green may not shoot this well all season, but the shot volume should be there for him. Green’s tenure with Phoenix could not have gotten off to a better start, and he’ll look to keep it going when they take on the Clippers again on Saturday.

Green will immediately start in his season debut, but it won’t be Allen heading to a reserve role. Ryan Dunn, who had started every game this season, will come off the bench. With Green on a minutes limit, Dunn should still play a large role.

As expected, Green will make his debut for the Suns in this game. There will be a “target number” for Green’s minutes in this game, so even if Grayson Allen is pushed to the bench, he should still play a large role.

Green is on track to make his first appearance in a Suns uniform on Thursday. He missed the entire preseason and the first eight regular-season games with a hamstring injury, so Green’s playing time may be limited on Thursday if he can play. Grayson Allen may head to the bench in this scenario, but he’s worth rostering in deep leagues.

Green has yet to play this season, and his debut for the Suns won’t come against Golden State. Grayson Allen will remain a starter for another game, which will make him a valuable streamer that can provide plenty of threes.

Green and Brooks remain sidelined, but the former was able to do some 5-on-5 work during Saturday’s practice. Neither player has a defined timeline for a return, but the former may be closer since he has been able to play some 5-on-5. Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale will continue to start while the Suns await Green and Brooks’ returns, and Collin Gillespie is worth a look in deep leagues despite coming off the bench.

Green still has not reached the point where he’s healthy enough to play in games. Grayson Allen will remain in the starting lineup until that changes, and he should be rostered in standard leagues.

There was some hope that Green would be able to make his Suns debut on Wednesday, but he isn’t healthy enough to do so just yet. Grayson Allen will continue to start and should be rostered in fantasy leagues until Green can play starters’ minutes.

Injured before the start of the preseason, Green has yet to make his Suns debut. That could change on Wednesday, as he’s considered questionable. Given the time missed, Green will likely be under a minutes restriction whenever he’s available to play. Grayson Allen has been the starter, but he’s worth holding onto even after Green is healthy enough to play starters’ minutes.

Before the Suns embarked on their three-game road trip that ends Monday night, head coach Jordan Ott said it was “too early” to rule Green out for all three games. Unfortunately, he will not play against Utah, but the guard was doing some resistance training and sprinting during Monday’s pregame shootaround. Grayson Allen will start as long as Green is out and should be rostered in standard leagues.

After opening their season at home against the Kings on Wednesday, the Suns will hit the road for three straight, beginning with the Clippers on Friday. While Green, who missed the entire preseason with a hamstring injury, will not play on Wednesday, his head coach refused to rule him out for the upcoming road trip. Grayson Allen started the Suns’ first three preseason games before resting for the finale, and he’s expected to continue to replace Green in the starting lineup. Allen is worth streaming in deep leagues until Green is cleared to return.

Green, who has been out the entire preseason recovering from a hamstring injury, sat out Friday’s light scrimmage. While Suns head coach Jordan Ott did not say anything regarding Green’s availability for Saturday’s session, the expectation is that the guard will not be available to begin the regular season. Grayson Allen will be in the starting lineup if that holds, giving his fantasy value a short-term boost.

Green has missed all of training camp and preseason with a hamstring injury. Now with the news that he’ll be out at least another 10 days, Green is set to miss the Suns’ season opening game on October 22. It’s a tough blow for the Suns after they acquired Green as the centerpiece in the Kevin Durant trade this past offseason. Grayson Allen figures to benefit the most in Green’s absence.

Acquired from the Rockets as part of the Kevin Durant trade, Green has been unavailable during training camp and the preseason due to a strained left hamstring. Friday’s exhibition against the Nets was the second game he’s missed, and it appears likely that the guard will not see game action during the preseason. The hope is that Green will be a full go when Phoenix opens the regular season on October 22, but that isn’t guaranteed. Grayson Allen is the player who may benefit the most if Green cannot get back in time for the start of the season.

With Durant’s time in Phoenix expected to end this summer, new Suns general manager Brian Gregory likely hoped to use this as an opportunity to add some young talent to the roster while also restocking the team’s draft capital. Sunday’s reported trade accomplished that, with Green headed to the Valley of the Sun along with Brooks and a total of six draft picks. While Green did finish this season with averages of 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.9 three-pointers per game, his inefficiency was an issue at times, especially during Houston’s first-round playoff loss to Golden State. While one would assume that he’ll be a key figure in Phoenix, the Suns still have Bradley Beal on their roster, due mainly to his no-trade clause. Green should play plenty, but sharing the ball with Beal and Devin Booker may result in decreased usage.

Outside of Game 2, Green’s first postseason experience was a disappointment. Remove that 38-point effort, and the Rockets guard totaled 47 points on 16-of-53 shooting in the other six games. Green has long been a better option for points leagues than category leagues, but he has been worthy of a top-100 pick. Whether that remains the case ahead of the 2025-26 season depends on what the Rockets’ front office does this offseason. There’s a clear need for consistent perimeter shooting, especially with two starters (Green and Fred VanVleet) who shot below 43 percent from the field during the regular season.

After struggling mightily in his playoff debut on Sunday, Green looked far more comfortable in Game 2. He became the fifth Rockets player in franchise history to score 30 points or more in a playoff game, aged 23 years or younger, and Green also tied the Rockets’ record for three-pointers in a playoff game. While Green can’t be expected to threaten 40 points every night in this series, the Rockets will need a consistently productive version of him to advance. Game 3 is on Saturday in San Francisco.

Thankfully, this was a meaningless game for the Rockets. Though head coach Ime Udoka treated it like any other game, Houston had already clinched the second seed in the West. Green played more than he did in each of their last two games, as he only played 15 minutes in each of those and was up to 21 minutes this afternoon. However, he did even less scoring on Sunday and set a new season-low for points. Green will make his playoff debut next weekend, though their matchup will depend on who makes it out of the Play-In Tournament.

Green has scored 21 points or more in seven of his last eight appearances, with Houston’s March 31 loss to the Lakers being the exception. And he’s been more efficient, shooting 47 percent from the field over the past two weeks. The improved efficiency is why Green was a top-60 player in eight-cat formats during that stretch. Excellent timing for category league managers who had him rostered. For those whose leagues run through Week 23, the Rockets play three games, starting with the Clippers on Wednesday.

Green has now scored at least 30 points four times over his last seven games. The 23-year-old shooting guard is one of the best scorers in the league when his shot is falling. That wasn’t totally the case on Friday as Green benefitted greatly from a friendly whistle. He got to the foul line 10 times and made nine free throws, which inflated his scoring total. We’ll see if Green can put up another big number Sunday against the Warriors.

After shooting 4-of-13 from the field and scoring nine points in Monday’s loss to the Lakers, Green took advantage of an overmatched opponent and got back on track on Wednesday. He’s scored 20 points or more in 10 of his last 12 outings, but the two exceptions have been poor. The good news for fantasy managers is that the highs have outweighed the lows, with Green providing top-75 value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past three weeks. Houston’s final two games of Week 22, Oklahoma City at home and Golden State on the road, will be far more challenging for Green and the Rockets.

After missing all four shot attempts during the first quarter, Green encountered far less resistance from the Suns defensively, making nine of his final 13 attempts from the field. A steady diet of straight-line drives to the basket led to recording his third 30-point line in four games. Over the past two weeks, he has provided seventh-round value in eight-cat formats. Green not playing during the fourth quarter should ensure he’s well-rested for Monday’s game against the Lakers. The Rockets play four games during Week 22.

Green was hardly efficient scoring on 20 shots, though he was able to make four three-pointers on 10 attempts. The 23-year-old shooting guard contributed in the other categories and was ultimately just two rebounds and four assists shy of a triple-double. Green’s fantasy value is ultimately tied to his scoring as he’s a top-25 fantasy player when his shot is falling.

Green posted his second straight 30-point game and third across his last five. He’s scored at least 20 points in seven of his last eight and has been excellent on offense, save for a six-point showing against the Heat. Green and the Rockets face the Jazz on Thursday, a team he scored 25 against earlier this season and 34 and 41 in two matchups last season.

While Green’s point total was impressive, he only shot 33.3 percent from the field. An 11-of-14 night from the foul line boosted the Rockets guard’s final tally, and fantasy managers can also benefit from the five assists. Green shot 3-of-12 from three against the Nuggets and is now 16-of-57 over his last five. Three-point percentage is not a scoring category in default leagues, but Green’s willingness to take those shots has torpedoed his field goal percentage many nights.

Green and the Rockets have won their last eight games, with a strong second half getting the job done on Wednesday. Green has scored 23 points or more in five straight games, averaging 27.2 points per contest. With the improved scoring, he has provided top-20 value in eight- and nine-cat formats during this stretch. The Rockets play twice more during Week 20, starting with the Heat on Friday in the final game of their current road trip.

After a rough first half in which Green finished with just five points on 2-of-11 shooting, he was able to flip the script after the break. He contributed 25 points and nine assists after halftime to help them erase a 25-point deficit in the third quarter and win in overtime. This was the the fourth-straight game that Green has scored at least 20 points, and he has scored 25 in three of those four. This is turning into another late season scoring tear for Green, which has helped Houston win seven games in a row.
