Green is still working his way back to full strength after undergoing surgery in June to address instability in his left shoulder. Therefore, he is not expected to participate in training camp and has no defined return timeline. With the Hornets adding Collin Sexton via trade, Green appeared likely to come off the bench if he were guaranteed to be healthy when the season begins. Also, with the Hornets having Brandon Miller and adding two wings in the first round of this summer’s draft, Kon Knueppel and Liam McNeeley, Green will face more competition for rotation minutes than he did in 2024-25.

Green is expected to make a full recovery, though he’s out indefinitely and without a timetable to return. A first round pick in 2020 by the Mavericks, Green moved into the Hornets starting lineup late in the year as Charlotte dealt with multiple injured starters. While Green had some good performances, he needs to become more of a consistent scorer to be a fantasy asset in the future.

Tuesday’s game will be the third Green has missed since injuring his left shoulder during an April 2 loss to the Pacers. While DaQuan Jeffries made one start in his absence, Josh Okogie was the choice for Sunday’s loss to the Bulls. Neither player has been consistent enough to merit being streamed in Green’s absence.

Green left Wednesday’s game against the Pacers in the first with a shoulder injury and it appears the injury will linger, keeping him out Friday against the Kings. DaQuan Jeffries will likely continue to fill in for Green.

Green had three points in eight minutes before a shoulder injury knocked him out for the rest of the game in the first half Wednesday against the Pacers. The 24-year-old small forward will likely be replaced by DaQuan Jeffries in the second half. It’s unclear how severe the injury is or if it will impact Green’s availability going forward.

Green missed Sunday’s game with soreness in his left shoulder, but returned to the starting lineup Monday against the Jazz. The 24-year-old small forward played 26 minutes in the four-point victory. Green had a good shooting night, including making all three of his three-point attempts. He’s not much of a fantasy asset until he becomes a more consistent volume scorer, though.

Green missed Sunday’s game against the Pelicans but will be back in the lineup to take on Utah. Josh Okogie started in place of Green but will miss the second leg of Charlotte’s back-to-back, which means Green will simply return to his normal spot in the starting unit.

Green is off the injury report after sitting out Sunday’s loss to the Heat. His return means Nick Smith Jr. will head back to the bench, a role in which the second-year guard offers limited fantasy value.

Green will not play against the Heat due to a sore left shoulder, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Nick Smith Jr. is a potential replacement, but the second-year guard has not been productive enough to merit being streamed in most leagues.

Due to a sore left shoulder, Green is considered probable for Sunday’s game. Despite being a fixture in the starting lineup, Green has been ranked well outside the top 200 in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Fantasy managers should not feel obligated to roster him, regardless of league size.

Green has played at least 25 minutes in all seven games the Hornets have played in March, but the 24-year-old small forward has had more than three points in just two of those games. Green was on point with his three-point shot Friday as he knocked down six shots from behind the arc. It was an impressive shooting display, but Green doesn’t warrant being rostered in fantasy leagues until he makes these occasional good games a more regular event.

Green missed Wednesday’s game, which allowed DaQuan Jeffries to move into the starting lineup. Jeffries will likely return to the bench with Green expected back after he contributed just six points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes.

Green, a late addition to the Hornets’ injury report, will not play against the Timberwolves. His absence frees up a place in the starting lineup and significant playing time. Seth Curry and Damion Baugh are two players who may see more action with Green out. However, neither player is likely to do enough to merit being streamed in this spot.

Green did a little bit of everything in this game, though it seemed like it was going to be a much bigger performance than it ended up being. Green entered halftime with 13 points, but Charlotte didn’t turn to him much after the break. Green is a solid starter for the Hornets, but he hasn’t been much of a contributor in fantasy basketball. Managers shouldn’t rush to the waiver wire after a performance like this since he hasn’t been able to produce in the box score consistently this season.
