George is proving to be an excellent scorer. He’s had at least 25 points in three of his last five games. George’s 27 points ultimately weren’t enough to keep up with Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves as Lauri Markkanen was the only other Jazz player with at least 20 points. The Jazz play the Pacers on the second night of a back-to-back on Tuesday.

George once again led the Jazz in scoring, but the third-year guard didn’t have much help offensively. Lauri Markkanen (12/2/2/3) shot 4-of-14 from the field, while Jusuf Nurkić and Svi Mykhailiuk combined to score nine points. George was still efficient offensively playing alongside Isaiah Collier, but the defense suffered as no one could slow down Anthony Edwards. The Jazz don’t play again during Week 3 but will have four games during Week 4.

George has been excellent to start this season, and that continued against Boston as he set a new season-high for scoring. He wasn’t able to dish out as many assists as he has in every other game this season, but he made up for it with a season-low for turnovers and his best field goal percentage of the season. George has been a top-50 player in nine-cat leagues this season, and his role as the starting point guard seems to be safe, given how well he has played.

George’s hot start to the season continued on Sunday, as he scored at least 25 points for the third time this season and notched at least seven assists for the sixth time. The third-year guard also logged one of his more efficient shooting performances of the season, despite remaining cold from beyond the arc. The three-point shot continues to be one of the few negatives on the season for George, but if he can even land the mediocre efficiency that he produced over the first two seasons of his career, he’ll become even more valuable in fantasy leagues.

With Isaiah Collier (hamstring) having recently been cleared for full on-court participation, it’s only a matter of time until he’s recalled from the G League. However, George has played well enough to retain the starting point guard job, even with Friday’s cold shooting night against the Suns. He was active on the boards and dished out nine assists while committing three turnovers. Despite averaging four turnovers per game, George provides top-50 value in nine-cat formats. If anyone’s going to lose out on minutes when Collier returns, it’s more likely to be Walter Clayton Jr., who only played eight minutes on Friday, than George.

George was inadvertently kneed in the head during the fourth quarter. After some time in the locker room, he returned, which may be a positive sign regarding the severity of the injury. George has exceeded his Yahoo! ADP of 118 thus far, sitting just outside the top-50 in nine-cat formats. He’s still rostered in 53 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is too low a percentage with Isaiah Collier still unavailable due to a hamstring injury.

This was one of the best performances of George’s career as he finished with at least 25 points and 10 assists for the first time. Through three games, he is averaging 20.0 points and 9.7 assists per game, both of which would be the best marks of his career. He has stepped up with Isaiah Collier (hamstring) sidelined, and if he keeps playing this well, it’s difficult to imagine Collier not keeping the starting point guard job when Collier gets healthy.

George logged another strong performance as both a scorer and a playmaker after a 16-point, nine-assist night in the season opener against the Clippers. He ultimately topped those numbers on Friday and amassed his first double-double of the season. The third-year guard has now tallied at least nine assists in each game during the opening week of the season, showing early signs of improved playmaking. If he can keep up the pace as a passer, he’ll have a chance to put together a strong fantasy basketball season.

George, who averaged 5.6 assists per game last season, did most of his damage as a scorer in Utah’s preseason finale. Walker Kessler, taking on more of the facilitating duties and doing a good job of it, freed up George to hunt for his shot more, and he did so efficiently. With Isaiah Collier (hamstring) out and Walter Clayton Jr. (8/3/5/1 in 19 minutes) being a rookie, George may have the starting point guard job sewn up ahead of the October 22 regular season opener. If so, he’s a player worth selecting in standard league drafts just outside the first 100 picks, if not slightly earlier.

After beginning last season as Utah’s starting point guard, George was moved to the bench due to his struggles running the team. The Jazz decision-makers, from the front office down to head coach Will Hardy, must have liked what they saw from George on Wednesday. In addition to shooting efficiently, he recorded nine assists without committing a turnover. With Isaiah Collier (DNP) finishing last season as the starter and Utah adding another point guard to the roster this summer in first-round pick Walter Clayton Jr. (7/1/3 with one three-pointer), this is a crucial preseason for George. If he wins the starting job, he’ll be worth a look in the latter rounds of drafts.

After scoring 29 points on 11-of-25 shooting across his two prior appearances, George exploded in Atlanta. The 35 points were a season-high for the Jazz guard, who has three games of 30 or more to his credit. However, while George has averaged just under 18 points per game over the past two weeks, he’s only shooting 39 percent from the field. Add in the limited defensive production, and George has only been a late-round player in 12-team leagues over the past two weeks.

George bounced back from two ugly games where he was a combined 2-of-15 from the field and combined for only 14 points. The 21-year-old point guard topped those numbers with 17 points on 11 shots Thursday against the Rockets. He also dished out eight assists and now has at least seven assists in three of his last four games. George, who is shooting just under 40 percent from the field this year, is due for some ups and downs with his field-goal percentage as that part of his game still needs more work.

George has played well over Utah’s last three games since returning from a four-game absence. It fact, his return has come with some surprising efficiency. He was below the 50 percent mark in this game, but he has shot 51.4 percent from the floor since his return, which is a dramatic improvement over his 39.9 percent shooting this season. It is a hot streak for George, but it isn’t something that managers should get used to. Enjoy it while it lasts, but George won’t continue to shoot quite this well.

George has scored 20 points or more in three of his last six games, and Wednesday’s effort was one of his most efficient. In addition to shooting over 50 percent from the field, he finished with a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Since the All-Star break, George has been an 11th-round player in eight-cat formats. While some Jazz veterans have seen their minutes cut, George has consistently approached 30 minutes.

After sitting out Sunday’s loss to the Timberwolves, George returned to the Jazz rotation. While the points and steals were solid, he was responsible for four turnovers. The inefficiency has factored into Utah’s decision to start rookie Isaiah Collier at the point, as he has been better than George at setting up his teammates. Collier finished Monday’s loss with eight points, six rebounds, eight assists and one turnover. George is the superior scorer, but the hope is that he’ll use the rest of the season to improve as a playmaker for others.

George and Clarkson are available after sitting out Sunday’s loss to the Timberwolves. Their returns likely mean fewer minutes for Johnny Juzang. However, Svi Mykhailiuk’s absence means Juzang should remain in the rotation, but he is not a player who has to be rostered in most fantasy leagues.

George will have a chance to return after missing Utah’s last two games. Jordan Clarkson and Cody Williams filled out the majority of the bench minutes on Wednesday, but both would likely give up a few minutes if George is back in the lineup.

George missed Monday’s game against Boston, which was the second night of a back-to-back. Now, he’s expected to remain out against Memphis. Isaiah Collier and Collin Sexton played most of the guard minutes on Monday, with Sexton dishing out 13 assists. Brice Sensabaugh filled the role of offensive sparkplug off the bench for George and scored 22 points on Monday.

George finished with a solid 25/6/3/3 line on Sunday, but he’ll sit out the second leg of Utah’s back-to-back set. With both he and Clarkson sidelined, expect Isaiah Collier and Collin Sexton to handle backcourt duties for the Jazz.

George has scored at least 25 points in two of his last four games, so the scoring output has been there. However, it’s fair to wonder what his long-term role will be in Utah, especially with rookie Isaiah Collier continuing to serve as the starting point guard. George’s minutes and scoring opportunities will be there for the rest of the season, but his dynasty value may be decreasing due to him not making more significant progress in running a team.

George didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, going 4-of-14 from the field, but fantasy managers were likely pleased with the rebounds and assists. While the Jazz have limited the minutes of their key veterans as the season winds down, George doesn’t qualify. As a result, he’s still playing over 30 minutes per game despite coming off the bench. Unfortunately, poor shooting and limited defensive production continue to weigh down his fantasy value.

George was initially listed as questionable, but has since been ruled out with an illness Wednesday. The 21-year-old point guard joins almost of the Jazz roster in being ruled out against the Wizards. Isaiah Collier and Brice Sensabaugh should see all the backcourt minutes they can handle tonight.

George has been able to find success on offense despite his move to the bench but is questionable for Wednesday. Utah could have to get creative against Washington because of how thin its backcourt is right now.

George hasn’t started a game since January 22, but the “microwave” role off the bench appears to fit him well. Since January 25, the Jazz guard has provided 11th-round value in eight-cat formats. And George has been close to a top-100 player since the All-Star break. He’s still rostered in 79 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which may increase slightly ahead of the fantasy playoffs. The Jazz play four games during Week 18, starting with the Pistons on Monday.
