George will be back after missing Friday’s game against Cleveland. Both Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson started with George and Bilal Coulibaly (leg) out. Coulibaly is still out, so only one of Carrington and Johnson will remain in the starting lineup, though both should play big minutes.

George missed Friday’s game against the Cavaliers with an illness and his questionable listing has his status up in the air for Saturday. Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson could end up playing a lot if George is ultimately ruled out in addition to Bilal Coulibaly (leg), who is set to miss another game.

A late addition to the Wizards’ injury report, George joins Bilal Coulibaly (leg) as starters who will not be available on Friday. Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson are potential replacements for George, and both players will have higher fantasy ceilings regardless of who receives the nod.

George’s late addition to the injury report doesn’t bode well for his availability on Friday night. If he’s unable to go, Bub Carrington and rookie Tre Johnson are good candidates to replace him in the starting lineup, and both players should see an uptick in playing time.

George may not be an explosive scorer, but his ability to put up numbers in various categories makes him an excellent asset in category leagues. He recorded a complete line against the Knicks, including three steals and three three-pointers, while shooting over 50 percent from the field. Will George remain a third-round player in 12-team leagues for the entire season? We’ll see. But there’s no denying he has the skill set to be a high-value player in fantasy basketball.

George, who’s rostered in 58 percent of Yahoo! leagues, continues to exceed expectations regarding fantasy value. He’s ranked within the top-50 in nine-cat formats, and the second-year wing still hasn’t hit his ceiling. George is shooting 62.5 percent from the foul line and averaging 3.3 turnovers per game, negatively impacting his nine-cat value. However, even for those who may be skeptical about George’s ability to sustain this production over 82 games, he’ll continue to figure prominently in the Wizards’ rotation. Hop onto the bandwagon before it’s too late.

This young Wizards team has been one of the more intriguing teams in the first week of the season. Kyshawn George and Alex Sarr have appeared to take major leaps forward, and the team will get Bilal Coulibaly back from injury on Thursday. They are unlikely to compete this season, but they are building towards a promising future.

George has been on a roll to begin the season, much to the delight of those who believed he could break out in fantasy basketball. He’s scored 20 points or more in three of Washington’s first four games, except Sunday’s foul-plagued loss to the Hornets. George, who recorded a complete stat line on Tuesday, is rostered in 51 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Given his role and the production, that percentage is too low.

George is blossoming into a fantasy star before our eyes. His first game of the regular season was good, but this was another level of production, which included new career-highs for points, rebounds and three-pointers against a tough Dallas defense. George is on a team that is loaded with young talent, but he is ascending into a star faster than the rest. Rostered in just 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues, George is a must-add at this point.

George is a player many pinpointed as a fantasy breakout candidate this season, and with good reason. The second-year guard had a productive night in Milwaukee, providing the expected three-pointers and defensive stats. All that was missing were the assists, but that isn’t anything to lose sleep over. George will remain in the starting lineup as long as Bilal Coulibaly (thumb) is out, and Kyshawn may retain the role if he can build on Wednesday’s performance.

With Bilal Coulibaly (thumb) still sidelined, this is the quintet many expected to start Washington’s season opener. George’s inclusion in the starting five increases his chances of achieving fantasy relevance, and he has top-100 potential due to his perimeter shooting ability and defensive production. McCollum and Middleton open the season as starters, but they may be players to watch in the lead-up to the February trade deadline with the Wizards rebuilding.

Some have targeted George as a potential fantasy breakout candidate, and with good reason. With Bilal Coulibaly (thumb) unavailable to begin the regular season, George should have the runway to start fast when the regular season begins next week. The second-year wing looked sharp in Thursday’s preseason finale, recording a complete stat line. Does George merit being selected with a top-100 pick in standard leagues? Not necessarily, but those willing to reach cannot be blamed for doing so.

The Wizards are the last NBA team to open their preseason schedule, and they’ll do so without an expected starter. Bilal Coulibaly remains out after undergoing thumb surgery a few weeks before the start of training camp, opening up a spot in the starting five. George and Middleton will start at the forward spots on Sunday, with the former potentially being the player more likely to move to the bench once Coulibaly returns. Even if he comes off the bench when the regular season begins, playing time will not be an issue for George on the rebuilding Wizards.

George played 32 of a possible 40 minutes on Monday while leading Canada to its third win in as many games at FIBA AmeriCup in Nicaragua. The Wizards wing was solid on both ends of the floor, and this tournament could serve as a springboard into his second NBA season. As a rookie, George started 38 of the 68 games he played, averaging 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 three-pointers. Even with Washington having Khris Middleton on the roster and adding CJ McCollum via trade, young players like George will have every opportunity to perform as the franchise rebuilds. While he did finish the 2024-25 season ranked outside the top-200, George had added value during the fantasy playoff portion of the schedule.

George has been removed from the injury report after missing seven games with a sprained ankle. His availability impacts Justin Champagnie and AJ Johnson the most, as one will likely head to the bench. Champagnie can still provide solid value if asked to take on a reserve role; that isn’t the case for Johnson.

George and Middleton will remain sidelined, with the former missing a fifth-straight game and the latter three straight. Justin Champagnie and AJ Johnson have moved into the starting lineup, with the former offering a safer fantasy floor. Due to the absences, both players are worth streaming in deep leagues.

George sustained his ankle injury in Monday’s matchup with Toronto, and it will cost him a second straight game. Middleton’s continued absence isn’t a surprise, given the veteran’s recent injury history. While both players are sidelined, Justin Champagnie should see a substantial uptick in playing time.

George injured his left ankle during the first quarter of Monday’s game, exiting after two minutes of action. His departure frees up additional minutes for Justin Champagnie and AJ Johnson, with the former offering a higher fantasy ceiling if George misses time.

George’s double-double was his first, and the Wizards rookie has been a much-improved player as the season has progressed. And fantasy managers have benefitted from the strides made, as George has provided sixth-round value in eight-cat formats over the past month. Given the recent production and Washington’s upcoming schedule, his rostership (27 percent of Yahoo! leagues) is a bit low. The Wizards play four games during weeks 21 and 22, an excellent schedule for managers looking to win their leagues.

George will be back after missing Wednesday’s game against Utah. Tristan Vukcevic moved into the starting lineup with George sidelined, while JT Thor, Colby Jones and Jaylen Martin all played significant roles off the bench. George’s return should push Vukcevic back to the bench, and Washington really balanced out the rotation against Utah to help improve their lottery odds. They shouldn’t have to do that against Orlando.

George will miss Wednesday’s game with a right knee contusion, which opens up a spot in the Wizards’ starting lineup. Justin Champagnie is a potential replacement in the starting lineup, while Colby Jones should play additional rotation minutes off the bench again. Champagnie is worth adding in deep leagues.

George is dealing with a right knee contusion, casting some doubt on his status for Wednesday’s game. With Corey Kispert (thumb) done for the season, Colby Jones and Jaylen Martin played additional rotation minutes in Monday’s loss to the Trail Blazers. That will remain the case on Wednesday, regardless of George’s status. If Kyshawn sits, one of those two could move into the starting lineup.

After a four-game run in which he averaged 9.8 points per game on 41.9 percent shooting, George was considerably better on Saturday. He’s scored 19 points or more twice since the All-Star break, but offense isn’t where the rookie has been most valuable this season. The rebounding and defensive stats are why George is rostered in 27 percent of Yahoo leagues despite a poor field goal percentage. Since the All-Star break, he has been a top-40 player for managers willing to punt that particular category.

George left Monday’s game against the Heat late in the fourth quarter with a jaw injury. The 21-year-old was listed as questionable with a jaw contusion Wednesday, but ultimately played against the Jazz. George led the Wizards with 23 points with Jordan Poole (elbow) still sidelined. He’s been inside the top-140 in fantasy value over the last two weeks.

George exited early from Monday’s loss after suffering a jaw contusion, and the same injury could keep him out against Utah. Justin Champagnie and Corey Kispert are both candidates to replace him in the starting unit, and both should see extra minutes if George is sidelined.

George sustained a facial injury and left the game late in the fourth quarter. He finished the night with 10 points, eight boards, five assists, a steal and two triples across 32 minutes before his early exit. George has seen his playing time increase from 26.2 minutes pre All-Star break to over 31 minutes after the break, and he’s ranked inside the top 140 over the last two weeks. George is worth a look in deeper leagues as he continues to play a large role for Washington, but fantasy managers will need to keep an eye on his status following Monday’s injury.

George’s shooting struggles remain, but that isn’t something that dynasty managers should worry about. He will figure that out eventually. It’s everything else that he has done this season that makes him an exciting prospect, and this game was no exception. George set a new career-high for assists and was able to maintain his recent uptick in defensive production. George should be considered a high-upside option during “silly season”, and he has shown plenty of flashes in his first year in the league that should make him an enticing rookie to dynasty managers.
