George has missed 16 game since suffering a Grade 2 UCL tear in his left elbow on March 2, so the Wizards’ announcement that he’s officially out for the rest of the season isn’t a surprise. The 22-year-old forward is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026-27 season.

George has a Grade 2 distal UCL tear in his left elbow and will be treated “conservatively,” according to the team. The 22-year-old forward will be re-evaluated in one week. It’s up in the air whether George will return before the end of the season at this point.

George injured his left elbow during Monday’s loss to the Rockets, and he was initially diagnosed with a sprain. Further evaluations revealed a partially torn UCL, and the second-year wing will be re-evaluated in three weeks. While there is a chance that George returns for the final week of the fantasy season in standard Yahoo! leagues, he would likely be under a minutes limit if so. For those who held off on adding Will Riley, now is the time to do so.

George will miss a second straight game after spraining his left elbow during Monday’s loss to the Rockets. Will Riley replaced him in the lineup for Tuesday’s loss to the Magic and is likely to retain that role. Riley should be rostered in 14-team leagues given his silly-season potential.

George sustained the elbow injury in the third quarter of Monday’s loss to Houston, and it will cost him at least one game. With both George and Watkins out of action, the Wizards will need to lean more heavily on Will Riley and Justin Champagnie.

George was limited to 22 minutes on Monday due to a sprained left elbow. Injured during the third quarter after getting caught up on a screen, the second-year wing did not return for the final frame. With the Wizards visiting the Magic on Tuesday, there’s a good chance that George doesn’t play. If he sits, Will Riley (7/2/1/3 with one three-pointer in 33 minutes) is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup.

George sat out Thursday against Atlanta but logged 15 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Raptors. He’ll likely be on a minutes restriction against Houston, and Will Riley should continue to see big minutes. Fantasy managers looking for help off the waiver wire can take a chance on Riley.

George’s left knee contusion kept him out of Thursday’s loss to the Hawks, but he returned on Saturday and logged 15 minutes against the Raptors. If he’s able to play on Monday, fantasy managers should expect George’s minutes to be restricted. That would boost Will Riley’s value, as the rookie played 35 minutes off the bench against Toronto.

While George was back in the Wizards’ lineup after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Hawks, he was one of three starters under a minutes restriction. He logged 15 minutes against the Raptors, with Tre Johnson (eight points, three rebounds, one block and one three-pointer) and Tristan Vukčević (13 points, three rebounds, three assists, one block and three three-pointers) logging 19 apiece. After getting off to a hot start to the season, George’s fantasy value has lost its luster due to injuries and subsequent minutes limits.

George is back in the lineup after missing Thursday’s loss to the Hawks, which pushes Will Riley to the bench. However, George will be under a minutes restriction, which preserves some of Riley’s fantasy value. Also due to have their playing time restricted for Saturday’s game are Johnson and Vukčević.

George missed Thursday’s loss to the Hawks with a knee contusion, but is set to return after a one-game absence. The 22-year-old forward will return to the starting lineup with Will Riley moving back to the bench.

George did not play in Thursday’s loss to the Hawks, which led to Will Riley moving into the starting lineup. However, with Riley also questionable for Saturday, the Wizards may turn to Justin Champagnie or Leaky Black to fill the void. Champagnie offers a far higher ceiling, but he has been far from a sure thing in fantasy basketball recently.

George is battling a knee contusion that has kept his minutes down since the start of the month. With the Wizards not feeling much pressure to win games, they are not going to stress one of their young players more than they feel is necessary. The last time George missed a game, Justin Champagnie started but Sharife Cooper also played 27 minutes.

George, who has a left knee contusion, played 21 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Hawks. If he’s unable to play in Thursday’s rematch, the Wizards would have a void to fill in the starting lineup. Justin Champagnie is the most likely replacement, and he would be worth streaming if allowed to start.

George is available and will return after missing Friday’s win over the Pacers. The 22-year-old forward’s return may be the only change to the Wizards’ starting lineup as Justin Champagnie, who replaced George on Friday, is out with a knee injury.

George did not play in Friday’s win over the Pacers, with Justin Champagnie replacing him in the starting lineup. With Champagnie (knee) also questionable for Sunday’s game, the Wizards may have to rely more on Will Riley. However, Riley has totaled 16 minutes over the last two games despite not showing up on the injury report.

While George started Thursday’s win over the Pacers, the second-year wing only played 19 minutes. His absence for Friday’s rematch should result in more minutes for Will Riley, who played just four on Thursday. While he has silly-season standout potential, Riley may be hard to rely on in the short term, given how the Wizards have handled their rotation.

While George led the Wizards in scoring on Wednesday, he only played 24 minutes. And that may be the frustrating aspect of rostering him in fantasy leagues for the rest of this season. He doesn’t need much time to put up solid numbers, but the second-year wing has not exceeded 27 minutes in any of his last five appearances. Will Riley (4/4/2) shot a frigid 1-of-12 from the field but played 29 minutes. That may be the norm after the All-Star break.

George was initially listed as questionable with an ankle injury, but is available for Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers. The 22-year-old small forward sprained his ankle in the third quarter Sunday’s game against the Heat and didn’t return, but is good to go for Wednesday.

George exited Sunday’s loss to the Heat during the third quarter and did not return. If he’s unable to play against the Cavaliers, rookie Jamir Watkons would likely move into the starting lineup.

George sprained his left ankle while playing defense during the third quarter of Sunday’s game. The second-year wing limped to the locker room immediately after being subbed out, and he will not return to the game. George finished with 13 points, two rebounds, three assists, one block and three three-pointers in 19 minutes. Jamir Watkins, who started Saturday’s loss to the Nets, will likely see his playing time increase if George misses additional games.

George did not play in Saturday’s loss to the Nets, opening up a spot in the starting lineup for rookie Jamir Watkins. Watkins played 45 minutes, finishing with 13 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer. That isn’t the most robust stat line, but Watkins playing that much stands out. On a four-game day, he would be worth streaming if George sits again.

A right knee contusion will keep George out of Saturday’s game, which is the first of two in as many days for the Wizards. Will Riley, Justin Champagnie and Jamir Watkins should all receive more opportunities, with the first two being the superior options for fantasy managers.

George was limited to 18 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Pistons, and there was no injury announced beforehand. Fantasy managers certainly shouldn’t move on from George yet, but they should watch his playing time. Will Riley is one player whose opportunities will likely increase as the Wizards look to strengthen their chances of holding onto their first-round pick.

George has scored at least 18 points in five of his last six appearances as he continues to make strides as one of the Wizards’ young building blocks. Over the past two weeks, the second-year wing has offered top-20 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. George and the Wizards have two more games on the Week 15 schedule, starting with the Lakers on Friday.

George had another rough shooting night, but he has been able to make up for it by being effective in other categories. This was the fourth straight game that he shot below 40 percent from the floor, but he has still been able to provide third-round value in nine-category leagues during that stretch. He is a good shooter, so that won’t always be an issue. George has the makings of a fantasy superstar, and he’ll look to get back on track offensively against the Bucks on Thursday.

Though the inefficient shooting remained, it has been a strong stretch of games for George. He is averaging 21 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.2 triples over his last five games. He ranks inside the top 100 in nine-category leagues this season, but during this stretch, he is inside the top 25. He’ll look to stay hot in Charlotte on Saturday to wrap up the week.

George had an opportunity to give the Wizards a one-point lead late, but his three-point attempt fell short. That summed up the day for the second-year wing, who struggled with his shot and racked up six turnovers. Performances this inefficient have not been the norm for George this season, so fantasy managers should not be too concerned.

Saturday’s game was the best for George since returning from the hip injury that sidelined him for seven games. The 29 points were the most in a game for him since Washington’s second game of the season, and he was also effective setting up others. As long as he stays healthy, George should be a fantasy standout the rest of the season. Managers in 10-team leagues should ensure that he isn’t sitting on the waiver wire.
