Despite getting off to a slow start, Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder were dominant in the second half. The reigning MVP shot 6-of-8 from the field in the second half, and there were also frequent trips to the foul line. The result was his tenth game this season with at least 30 points. Gilgeous-Alexander remains one of the best players to have rostered in fantasy basketball, regardless of league format. The only negative is that Oklahoma City plays three games during Week 4 instead of four.

SGA wasn’t the highest scorer for the Thunder on Friday, but he still managed to extend his streak of 30-point games to six. He dominated inside the three-point line and chipped in a few stocks to help OKC avenge its first loss of the season. The reigning league MVP hasn’t shown any signs of regression during his eighth NBA season and is putting up similar numbers to last season. He remains one of the most productive players across fantasy basketball leagues.

Gilgeous-Alexander recorded another 30-point game on Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Thunder from suffering their first defeat of the season. Oklahoma City was down multiple contributors in Portland, so having a chance to force overtime in the final seconds speaks highly of what SGA and the other available players were able to do. He remains one of the top players in the NBA and fantasy basketball, and that won’t change anytime soon.

Gilgeous-Alexander was outstanding on Tuesday and didn’t need to play at all during the fourth quarter. He’s now scored at least 20 points in 80 consecutive games, the third-longest streak in the history of the NBA. While Gilgeous-Alexander has scored at least 30 points in seven of Oklahoma City’s first eight games, this was his first double-double. With him only playing 29 minutes, fatigue may not be an issue for Wednesday’s game in Portland.

The Thunder remained undefeated on the season, and Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with another game of at least 30 points scored — his sixth time going over 30 in the first seven games of the season. The reigning league MVP was very efficient on Sunday, finding a good chunk of production from the free-throw line and ultimately saw his night end after just 30 minutes, thanks to a large OKC lead during the fourth quarter. SGA has gotten off to another strong start to begin the season and could very well find himself in MVP talks again.

Gilgeous-Alexander, who led the NBA in scoring last season, has scored 30 points or more in five of Oklahoma City’s first six games. The Wizards didn’t have an answer for the reigning league MVP, as he shot 55 percent from the field and did not commit a turnover. The only negative for fantasy managers is that Oklahoma is off until Sunday, so they’ll only get one more game from SGA in Week 2.

Already without Jalen Williams (wrist), the Thunder played Tuesday’s game without Chet Holmgren (back). That put even more responsibility upon the shoulders of the NBA’s reigning Most Valuable Player. To no one’s surprise, Gilgeous-Alexander was up to the task, leading a fourth-quarter rally to help move Oklahoma City to 5-0. SGA shot 4-of-6 from the field in the fourth quarter, and he’s scored 30 points or more in four of five games. Matchups against the Wizards and Pelicans to end Week 2 set up well for Gilgeous-Alexander and those with him on their fantasy rosters.

This one was a low-scoring slugfest as both teams struggled to get anything going offensively. The reigning MVP knocked down just one three-pointer as Oklahoma City shot 20 percent (6-of-30) from distance in an ugly win. Perhaps the most incredible statistical nugget from this one is that Gilgeous-Alexander only went to the line once in the contest.

When SGA scores 30 points, his scoring average goes down. He has 120 points through the first three games of the year, and this was by far his most efficient outing; he also only took four free throws, and he made all of them. Perhaps it helped that the Thunder finally didn’t go to double overtime, though that resulted in fewer shot attempts. SGA will continue to be one of the best players in fantasy basketball. They head to Dallas on Monday to kick off a four-game week.

SGA was good in the season opener, but the reigning MVP was even better in this game as the Thunder became the first team in NBA history to start their season with two straight double overtime games. That extra time allowed SGA to set a new career-high for scoring. He has 90 points through two games, which is a new franchise record. After winning MVP and a championship in the same season, it’s clear that SGA isn’t satisfied, which is a great sign for fantasy managers. He has one more game this week, which will be in Atlanta on Saturday.

Like most of his teammates, Gilgeous-Alexander struggled from deep, making just one of his nine three-point attempts. However, the reigning NBA MVP came up big when it mattered most, scoring 12 of his 35 points in the two overtime periods. Gilgeous-Alexander wasn’t as accurate at the foul line as he usually is, but there’s little reason for fantasy managers to be concerned after one game. Thursday’s matchup with the Pacers will present a different challenge for SGA, who will have to deal with full-court pressure throughout after taking on a bigger Rockets lineup in Tuesday’s opener.

Gilgeous-Alexander was highly efficient against the Bucks as he dropped 23 points on 10 attempts. His only misses from the field were two three-point attempts and he got to the foul line eight times while making six free throws. The reigning MVP looked primed for another sensational season. He’s coming off the board third overall in most fantasy drafts behind only Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama.

In his first bit of preseason action, Gilgeous-Alexander was productive in 18 minutes of game action. The reigning league MVP showed few signs of rust, shooting efficiently both inside and outside the arc while showing off his ability as a facilitator. Entering his eighth NBA season, SGA figures to be entering his prime at age 27. He’ll look to follow his MVP season without another outstanding campaign for the defending champions.

Gilgeous-Alexander, Hartenstein, Dort and Caruso all will make their preseason debuts on Thursday for the Thunder’s home opener, giving the defending champions a rotation that more closely resembles what viewers could expect during the upcoming regular season. The Thunder has a 1-1 record through two preseason games and will have a chance to secure a second win over the Hornets, whom they defeated earlier in October.

Gilgeous-Alexander now has the highest annual salary in NBA history. After a season in which SGA won the scoring title, took home regular season MVP honors, led the Thunder to the championship and was awarded NBA Finals MVP, Gilgeous-Alexander earned a well-timed raise. Coming off one of the best seasons for a guard in league history, SGA will of course be one of the first names off the board in fantasy drafts next year.

It wasn’t always pretty, but SGA — who was named NBA Finals MVP afterwards — got the job done on Sunday night as the Thunder pulled away from Indiana in the second half to secure the franchise’s first title since moving to Oklahoma City. Gilgeous-Alexander shot a putrid 8-of-27 from the field and 2-of-12 from beyond the arc, but he got to the line 12 times and sank 11 free throws to buoy his scoring numbers. The 12 assists tie his season-high in that category, and his all-around contributions were spectacular, despite the inefficient shooting. Gilgeous-Alexander’s 2024-25 season will go down as one of the best individual seasons for a guard in NBA history, as he won the scoring title, regular season MVP and Finals MVP. The Thunder are early favorites to win the 2025-26 title, and Gilgeous-Alexander has the second-shortest odds to win a second straight MVP, behind only Nikola Jokic.

It wasn’t always pretty, but SGA got the job done on Sunday as his team pulled away from Indiana late to secure the Thunder’s first title since moving to Oklahoma City. This certainly wasn’t the performance OKC was hoping to get out of the MVP with a chance to close out the series. Sure, he led the team in scoring, but the eight turnovers were abysmal. Turnovers haven’t been an issue for the Thunder this year; they averaged the fewest turnovers per game in the league during the regular season and have won the turnover matchup for most of this series. They’ll certainly need to clean things up to defend their homecourt and win a championship in Game 7 on Sunday.

While the field goal percentage may not have been great, Gilgeous-Alexander was highly impactful in Monday’s victory. The four blocked shots were one shy of his playoff career-high, and he also hit double digits in assists for the first time since Game 4 of the conference finals. Gilgeous-Alexander recorded his 15th 30-point game of these playoffs, the most in a single postseason since Kobe Bryant had 15 in 2009. While the Pacers have done all they can to limit Gilgeous-Alexander, and they’ve had some success, the NBA’s Most Valuable Player still feels inevitable. He and the Thunder will look to win their first NBA title on Thursday night.

With his team staring at a 3-1 deficit, the NBA’s Most Valuable Player stepped up when the Thunder needed him most. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 15 points in the final 4:36 of Game 4, including a step-back jumper with 2:23 remaining that gave Oklahoma City the lead for good. He was perfect from the foul line and shot 50 percent from the field to lead the Thunder to a win that returned home-court advantage to the Western Conference champions. However, SGA did not record an assist, the first time he’s done so in these playoffs. Oklahoma City tried to play him off the ball more, but that approach tended to slow the team down more than they hoped. That changed in crunch time, and Gilgeous-Alexander did what he’s expected to do. Game 5 is on Monday night.

To say that Gilgeous-Alexander struggled in Game 3 would be an understatement. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle joked earlier this week that the 26-year-old point guard would have 34 points as soon as he got off the bus. Instead, Gilgeous-Alexander finished Game 3 with 24 and a playoff career-high six turnovers against the Pacers’ swarming defense. A better offensive effort from SGA is paramount for the Thunder in Game 4 on Friday.

While Gilgeous-Alexander did score 38 points in Oklahoma City’s Game 1 defeat, he shot below 50 percent from the field. The NBA’s Most Valuable Player was more forceful in Game 2, and the approach led to SGA attempting 12 free throws while also shooting over 50 percent from the field. Gilgeous-Alexander made some history during the victory, becoming the 12th player in league history to score at least 3,000 points in a season — that counts the regular season and playoffs. Putting up high point totals should not be an issue in this series, even with the Pacers’ ability to use multiple defenders on SGA. The key will be how he gets those points, and how often the Thunder point guard can get to the foul line. Game 3 is on Wednesday in Indianapolis.

In his Finals debut, SGA played like a superstar. He played like an MVP. However, he had two opportunities late in the game to get to 40 points and give OKC a win. He ended up passing to Jalen Williams on the first play, then he missed the shot on the second, which led to the Pacers going down the court and winning the game. It could have been a signature moment, but now it’s just a great performance that will be forgotten about because of the result. Expect SGA to continue to put up big numbers for the rest of this series, especially in Game 2 on Sunday to avoid going down 0-2.

For the first time since 2012, the Thunder are headed to the NBA Finals. As expected, Gilgeous-Alexander led the way, surpassing the 30-point mark for the second consecutive game. However, unlike Game 4, in which he shot 13-of-30 from the field, the NBA’s Most Valuable Player was incredibly efficient on Wednesday. He shot 56 percent from the field and committed just two turnovers in the Game 5 rout. Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder will not play again until June 5 when they host Game 1 of the NBA Finals against either Indiana or New York.

Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder are one win away from the NBA Finals, and extra possessions were a significant factor in Game 4. SGA grabbed four offensive rebounds, and Oklahoma City finished with 19 as a team. Add in 21 Minnesota turnovers, and the Thunder attempted 11 more field goals than the Timberwolves. Gilgeous-Alexander’s 30 field goal attempts and 40 points were playoff career highs, and he was masterful in crunch time, looking for his shot and setting up teammates for clean looks. OKC will aim to close out the series on Wednesday night at home.

Gilgeous-Alexander had his fewest points of the playoffs and of the season in Game 3 with 14. It was the lowest point total for the 26-year-old point guard since March of 2024. He scored more than twice as many points in each of the first two games of the series. SGA was wearing a microphone for ESPN’s coverage of the game and could be heard on the bench in the fourth quarter saying they had a great game and we had a bad game. That might be putting it mildly as the Thunder lost Game 3 by 42 points. SGA and the Thunder will be looking to play better and take it from there in Game 4 on Monday.

One day after being named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player, Gilgeous-Alexander showed on Thursday why he was a deserving recipient of the award. Not only did he shoot over 50 percent from the field, but SGA attempted 15 free throws. One of the NBA’s best at getting to the foul line, Gilgeous-Alexander attempted 29 free throws in the first two games of the Western Conference Finals, making 24. Simply put, if Minnesota is to have any chance of getting back into the series, they’ll need to do a far better job of defending SGA without fouling. Game 3 is on Saturday night.

In a two-man race for the NBA’s most prestigious regular season award, SGA emerged victorious behind averages of 32.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.0 block and 2.1 triples. He shot 51.9 percent from the floor, 89.8 percent from the charity stripe and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc. Gilgeous-Alexander powered Oklahoma City to the NBA’s best record with a franchise-high 68 wins and the top seed in the Western Conference. SGA finished as fantasy’s third ranked player on a per-game basis behind only Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama.
