Still only 20, Harper became the youngest player in NBA history to score at least 25 points off the bench in a playoff game. He had 27 points and 10 rebounds as the Spurs took a 2-1 lead in the series. Harper and Stephon Castle combined for 60 points with Victor Wembanyama (concussion protocol) sidelined. The Spurs will take on the Trail Blazers in a pivotal Game 4 on Sunday.

Harper jammed his left thumb in Sunday’s regular-season finale against Denver, but he’s expected to be ready for the opening round of the playoffs when the Spurs take on the Trail Blazers at Frost Bank Center. Harper should handle his usual workload.

Harper suffered a left thumb injury during the second half of Sunday’s game. The rookie guard played 18 minutes, finishing with nine points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Jordan McLaughlin may play a few more minutes in the fourth quarter, but the bigger concern is Harper’s availability for the playoffs, which begin next weekend.

Harper was one of two replacements in the Spurs’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s game, filling the void left by Stephon Castle (knee). And the rookie had a solid night overall, recording a complete stat line in 33 minutes. The lone negative was the turnover count, as Harper was responsible for five. That said, young players are going to have nights like that on occasion. Luke Kornet, who started for Victor Wembanyama, tallied 10 points, five rebounds, six assists, two steals and one three-pointer in 26 minutes.

The Spurs are without Stephon Castle and Victor Wembanyama, opening up two spots in the starting five. As expected, Harper and Kornet will fill the resulting voids. For those in active fantasy leagues, Harper and Kornet are worth slotting into lineups.

Harper came off the bench and provided a significant offensive boost. He connected on all of his three-point attempts before finishing as one of San Antonio’s best scorers, but also proved to be one of the team’s best playmakers, as well. Harper has played well as a rookie. Should he eventually grow into a full-time starting role, he could have a chance to take some big steps forward from a fantasy basketball lens.

Harper has scored in double figures in seven consecutive games, his longest run of the season. The rookie guard shot 66.7 percent from the field against the Clippers, and he dished out five assists for the second consecutive game. Harper’s name has not come up as often in Rookie of the Year conversations, but he has fit in nicely with the Spurs’ roster. San Antonio ends its Week 23 in Denver on Saturday.

Harper was one of three Spurs reserves to score in double figures on Monday, with Keldon Johnson (15/2/1/1 with two three-pointers) and Luke Kornet (10 points, five rebounds and one assist) being the others. Over the past two weeks, Harper has averaged 14.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.9 three-pointers per game. Backing up Stephon Castle and De’Aaron Fox does limit the rookie’s fantasy ceiling, but he has offered a solid floor since the All-Star break

With Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle out due to injury, Harper made his first career start on Saturday. The rookie was excellent in that role, shooting efficiently and adding a few rebounds and assists for good measure. Getting to start raises Harper’s fantasy ceiling, but whether that continues depends on Vassell and Castle.

Following a two-game absence with a calf injury, Harper was back in the lineup for San Antonio. In the blowout win, he ended up having a strong performance off the bench and was one of seven players to score in double figures for the Spurs. Harper has flashed plenty of upside this year, but that hasn’t led to much fantasy production. His role has been too limited, but it’s clear that he will be a fantasy star sooner rather than later.

Harper will be back following a two-game absence. Carter Bryant took on extra minutes in his place, but he will take on a smaller role with Harper back in the mix.

Harper and Kornet were ruled out for Monday’s game against the Clippers, with the former missing a second straight contest. However, both could be back as soon as Tuesday night. While Johnson did not guarantee that Harper and Kornet would play, he did say they’ll be back “very, very soon,” if not on Tuesday. Carter Bryant has picked up additional minutes on the wing, while Mason Plumlee and Kelly Olynyk may see a few minutes on Monday after not playing in Saturday’s win over the Hornets.

Monday’s game will be the second that Harper has missed since suffering a right calf contusion during Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets. As a result, fellow rookie Carter Bryant picked up additional playing time in Harper’s absence on Saturday.

Harper was initially listed as questionable with a calf contusion, but has since been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Hornets. The 20-year-old point guard suffered the injury during Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets, though he returned to finish the game with 13 points, five rebounds and five assists in 24 minutes. Carter Bryant should see more minutes with Harper sidelined, but isn’t worth the risk in most fantasy leagues.

Harper suffered a right calf contusion during Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets, but he was able to return after a brief period on the bench. If he’s unable to play against the Hornets, that may free up a few minutes for Carter Bryant, whose playing time decreased on Thursday due to Harrison Barnes’ return from an ankle injury.

Rostered in 19 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Harper’s place within the Spurs’ rotation makes him a challenging player to trust in 12-team leagues. However, the rookie has been productive enough to merit rostering in deeper redraft leagues, and his dynasty league value remains high. Harper and the Spurs begin a three-game Week 20 on Tuesday against the Celtics.

Fresh off winning Western Conference Rookie of the Month, Harper was able to have his first 20-point outing since January and his sixth of the season. Harper hasn’t done much for fantasy managers throughout his rookie year, but he still holds plenty of upside for dynasty managers. He just turned 20 years old and will look to remain an effective option off the bench for the remainder of the season.

Harper has reached double figures in five of his last six appearances, scoring at least nine in all six. Stephon Castle (pelvis) exited Tuesday’s victory during the first half, and it’s difficult to envision him playing on Wednesday against the Warriors. While Harrison Barnes (11/3/2/3 with two three-pointers) is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup, there should also be a few more minutes for Harper in the Spurs’ final game before the All-Star break.

Harper didn’t make the initial injury report, but there is now a chance he misses this game. Harper has played well recently, averaging 17.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists over the Spurs’ last three games. Jordan McLaughlin would fill out a few extra minutes as the backup point guard if Harper is sidelined.

After contributing 16 points off the bench in Wednesday’s win over the Rockets, Harper recorded his fifth 20-point game of the season in Charlotte. While the role does limit the rookie guard’s ceiling, he’s been close to a top-100 player over the past two weeks. If Devin Vassell sits out Sunday’s game against the Magic because it’s San Antonio’s second game in as many days, Harper may receive a slight boost despite coming off the bench.

Harper has shown plenty of flashes throughout his rookie season, but he hasn’t had many games where he’s been impactful for fantasy managers, especially as of late. However, the combination of shooting efficiency and counting stats changed that for at least this game. He hasn’t been a reliable option in standard leagues, and the Spurs are too good for him to see a late-season bump, but this game is a good reminder that he is an elite asset in dynasty leagues.

Harper played a more prominent role for the Spurs in their first action without franchise cornerstone Victor Wembanyama after he suffered a hyperextended left knee earlier this week. The 19-year-old rookie connected on 8-of-12 shots from inside the arc and shot 60 percent overall on the night, finishing just two points shy of matching his previous career-high mark set back on December 18. The second-overall pick from last summer’s NBA Draft has shown flashes of elite scoring potential but he hasn’t quite arrived as a consistent and reliable fantasy option at this stage of his development.

Harper came off the bench and led the Spurs with 24 points in 23 minutes against the Wizards Thursday. The 19-year-old point guard continues to impress after being made the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Harper isn’t quite a standard league option yet with all the options ahead of him on the Spurs, but that could change by the end of the year.

Two of the three 2025 lottery picks playing in Monday’s contest came up big for their respective teams. While New Orleans’ Derik Queen recorded the more impressive stat line, Harper got the last laugh, as his shot with 9.1 seconds remaining gave San Antonio the lead for good. With Stephon Castle (hip) back in the lineup, the rookie guard still played 26 minutes, which bodes well for his opportunities moving forward. Harper remains a deep-league option at best, but he has the tools required to change that in time.

Since returning to action on November 26, Harper has reached double figures in four of five games, including each of the last four. With Stephon Castle (hip) out, the Spurs’ perimeter rotation is less crowded, which has benefitted the rookie. Harper has been most beneficial in the points, assists and steals categories, so he’s been relegated to deep-league status in redraft formats. But there is a lot to like about his skill set, and Harper has not reached his ceiling.

There aren’t as many minutes for Harper as there are for other lottery picks, but he was able to make the most of his time in this game. Since returning from a 10-game absence, Harper has averaged 12.5 points, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals in just 18 minutes per game. He’ll continue to have his minutes managed for now, and when he returns to a full workload, he’ll still have De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle ahead of him in the rotation. Harper is valuable asset in dynasty leagues, but his role may not be large enough for him to truly pop this season.
