Wednesday’s game will be the sixth that Hartenstein has missed since suffering a strained right soleus muscle. For Oklahoma City’s most recent game, a loss to the Hornets on Monday, Aaron Wiggins was moved into the starting lineup. Cason Wallace had been the replacement on previous occasions. Both will see an increase in their minutes since Hartenstein is unavailable.

Hartenstein will miss a fifth straight contest, while Caruso will sit out the second leg of OKC’s back-to-back set. Cason Wallace and Isaiah Joe should see increased run against Charlotte.

Wednesday’s game will be the second that Hartenstein has missed with a right soleus strain, which is concerning for fantasy managers. With Jaylin Williams (heel) also out, the minutes that would have gone to Hartenstein should be divided among multiple players, including starter Chet Holmgren and reserve Kenrich Williams. There’s a possibility that Branden Carlson could get into the rotation due to the matchup, but he is not worth streaming.

Jaylin Williams (heel) is also out, so big minutes should be available for Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams in the frontcourt. Hartenstein’s absence shouldn’t be too concerning to fantasy managers, as he’s sitting out the second leg of a back-to-back set, which was an expected outcome due to his lingering calf injury.

Hartenstein finished Thursday’s defeat with his eighth double-double of the season and first since November 15. The lingering concern is his availability, with Hartenstein still working his way back from a strained calf. Before Thursday, he had not appeared in consecutive games since November 23-26. For that reason, fantasy managers should anticipate Hartenstein sitting out one of Oklahoma City’s next two games, Sunday against Philadelphia or Monday against Atlanta.

Monday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Thunder, so Hartenstein won’t play as he continues to work his way back from a calf injury. Cason Wallace should return to the starting lineup, raising his fantasy ceiling while shifting Chet Holmgren to the five.

Thursday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Thunder, who take on the Timberwolves on Friday. Hartenstein’s absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup, with Cason Wallace likely filling the void. While he may not offer much as a scorer, he doesn’t need to in order to provide solid fantasy value when allowed to start.

Victor Wembanyama wasn’t the only post player making their return to action on Saturday. Hartenstein was back in the Thunder lineup after missing six games with a strained right calf, and his minutes were restricted. The 7-footer played 20 minutes and was productive, recording a complete stat line. Hartenstein doesn’t need a high usage to provide reliable fantasy value, but he is more “high floor” than “high ceiling.” Cason Wallace moved to the bench on Saturday, finishing with seven points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one three-pointer in 27 minutes.

Hartenstein is back after missing six games with a strained right calf, and he will start. In the lone change to the lineup that began Wednesday’s rout of the Suns, Cason Wallace heads to the bench. While he will remain in the Thunder rotation, Wallace’s fantasy ceiling is lowered with the lineup change.

The Thunder will get their starting center back ahead of Saturday’s NBA Cup Semifinals matchup with the Spurs. While OKC has remained successful in Hartenstein’s absence, the defending champions will welcome him back as they may face Victor Wembanyama, who is likely to return from injury. Hartenstein is averaging 12.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists across 19 games.

That timeline has Hartenstein being re-evaluated between Dec. 9-13 after he was diagnosed with a right soleus strain. Jalen Williams filled Hartenstein’s spot in the starting unit in his return to the lineup. Jaylin Williams saw a bump in minutes with Hartenstein unavailable and should take on a larger role until he returns.

Hartenstein will sit this one out due to right ankle soreness which could lead to more minutes for Jaylin Williams. Jalen Williams will make his season debut, and he will pick up some of the slack as well. Oklahoma City could deploy a smaller lineup, and Ajay Mitchell is a candidate to see increased run against Phoenix.

Hartenstein was one of four Thunder players to score in double figures on Wednesday. As usual, his scoring was mostly done inside the arc, but with some inefficient free-throw shooting adding a bit more to his scoring total. He added a couple of stocks on the defensive end and wasn’t as productive on the glass as he usually is. He’ll have an opportunity to log a more productive line on Friday against the Suns.

After averaging a double-double for the first time in his NBA career last season, Hartenstein is on his way to doing it again in 2025-26. He’s recorded at least 13 rebounds in five games and is responsible for six double-doubles. Hartenstein is ranked well within the top-50 in nine-cat formats, and his skill set is such that maintaining that production level is a realistic possibility. The Thunder play three games during Week 4, starting with the Warriors on Tuesday.

A big 15-point second quarter led the veteran center to a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double at halftime, which eventually turned into a career-best night for Hartenstein. He missed only three shots en route to his first game of more than 20 points this season, while nearly snagging 20 boards in the process. In his second year with the Thunder, Hartenstein continues to make a massive impact for one of the league’s best teams. He’ll have a chance to land a third straight double-double on Sunday against the Grizzlies.

Hartenstein nearly recorded his first-ever triple-double on Sunday, but a lopsided Thunder win limited him to just 26 minutes of game action. In his time on the floor, he impressed in all phases of the game and helped OKC remain unbeaten on the season. The veteran center has scored in double figures in four of the first seven games of the season while reaching double-digits in rebounds in five of the first seven games. He’s picked up where he left things last season, which was a career-best for him.

The Thunder were without Chet Holmgren for a second consecutive game on Thursday. After attempting just three shots in Tuesday’s win over the Kings, Hartenstein was more active on the offensive end of the floor against the Wizards, scoring a season-high 17 points. Despite his low free-throw percentage (54.5), Harteinstein isn’t too far outside the top-100 in nine-cat formats. He remains a must-roster player, especially in leagues that have two-center lineups.

Hartenstein had more of a scoring role in this one as the Thunder were without Chet Holmgren. The 27-year-old center led the team in shot attempts with 10 and had 13 points in 22 minutes. He didn’t attempt a free throw. Hartenstein didn’t have his usual playmaking role against the Bucks as he had just one assist despite averaging a career-high 3.8 assists with the Thunder last year. He’s going in the middle rounds of 2025 fantasy basketball drafts.

After starting Cason Wallace in the first three games of the NBA Finals, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault has gone back to his usual first five. Hartenstein returns to the lineup, with Wallace heading to the bench. Hartenstein can be a capable facilitator in the short roll, and his floater in those spots is close to automatic. After playing 33 minutes in Game 1, Wallace logged 24 and 23 minutes in Games 2 and 3.

Hartenstein was solid as a scorer and rebounder, but Monday’s game was another instance in which the Thunder decided to go small in crunch time. Hartenstein was an observer from the bench, while Oklahoma City decided to use Chet Holmgren (12/6/2/1/4) as the center with Alex Caruso entering the lineup. Holmgren had a chance to extend Oklahoma City’s lead to three with 9.5 seconds remaining, but his two misses were followed by Aaron Gordon’s game-winning three. Hartenstein’s playing time will be fine, but the way he’s used in this series will be worth watching, especially when Nikola Jokic is as dominant as he was in Game 1. The Thunder host Game 2 on Wednesday.

Hartenstein and Holmgren’s continued absences mean Kenrich Williams and Jaylin Williams should remain in the starting lineup for Sunday’s regular-season finale. The latter only needed 25 minutes to record a triple-double in Friday’s win over the Jazz; keep an eye on JayWill for Sunday as well, since that’s another good matchup for him. Kenrich will have value in active deep leagues.

A sore left hip hastened Hartenstein’s exit from Saturday’s game, with Kenrich Williams replacing him in the lineup to begin the third quarter. With Chet Holmgren and Jaylin Williams also out, Kenny Hustle and Branden Carlson will play additional minutes during the second half od Saturday’s contest.

Hartenstein has had at least 10 rebounds in six-straight games and has recorded a double-double in five of those games, including Thursday night against the Grizzlies. The 26-year-old center’s 18 points came on just nine field goal attempts as he was able to get to the foul line eight times and make all of his free throws. Hartenstein’s high scoring game overlapped with Chet Holmgren struggling with just four points of his own. Hartenstein even managed to play more minutes than Holmgren. While we can’t expect that to happen regularly, fantasy managers will take it. Hartenstein has still managed to provide good fantasy value since Holmgren returned to action after missing the beginning of the season.

After joining multiple rotation players in sitting out Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia, Hartenstein was back in the lineup on Friday. He only played 25 minutes in the blowout win, but that was enough time for him to record a double-double. OKC has already locked up the best record in the West, so it’s certainly possible that Hartenstein and the rest of the rotation pieces see more rest nights and minutes limits for the rest of the regular season, which would limit their fantasy output.

The Thunder are already without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort and Jalen Williams, and they won’t have Hartenstein or Wallace for Wednesday’s game, either. Aaron Wiggins and Chet Holmgren are among those who are available, which raises their fantasy ceilings. The only question is how much they’ll play since they are key members of Oklahoma City’s regular rotation.
