If the Celtics were going to give up anything defensively on Thursday, it was going to be Josh Hart’s three-point attempts. Unfortunately for Boston, the strategy backfired, as he shot 5-of-7 from beyond the arc, including two fourth-quarter daggers. The 26 points were the most in a game for Hart since he scored 33 in a March 17 win over the Pacers. Boston wasn’t the first time to take that defensive approach with Hart, and they won’t be the last. And if he can make teams pay consistently, his and the Knicks’ ceilings will be raised.

Hart, who made nine consecutive three-pointers before missing one during Thursday’s defeat, has upped his fantasy output recently. Over the past two weeks, the Knicks’ forward has provided second-round value in eight-cat formats. Hart’s stat line against the Hornets only lacked a blocked shot, but that doesn’t matter much when you record five steals.

After sitting out Friday’s win over the Nets, Hart played 28 minutes in his return to the lineup on Sunday. The Knicks’ 32-point win helped keep his playing time down, but just as important has been Hart’s improved shooting. Making all three of his three-point attempts against the Wizards, he is 9-of-9 over his last three appearances. Even with the Knicks limited to three games in Week 22, Hart’s three-point shooting is a huge development for category league managers.

Hart is good to go after sitting out Friday’s win over the Nets. He’ll return to his usual role in the Knicks’ starting lineup. With Landry Shamet (knee) out, Mohamed Diawara will likely be the first wing off the bench.

Hart did not play in Friday’s win over the Nets, resulting in Landry Shamet moving into the starting lineup. However, with Shamet (knee) ruled out for Sunday’s game, Mohamed Diawara may be the next man up if Hart remains out.

After enjoying his most productive scoring effort as a Knick in Tuesday’s win over the Pacers, Hart will not play on Friday. His absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup for Landry Shamet, who is worth streaming in this spot.

With Jalen Brunson (ankle) sidelined, Hart stepped up on offense with an unreal shooting night. He became the fourth player in franchise history to score at least 30 points while shooting at least 90 percent from the floor, joining Walt Bellamy, Willis Reed and Bernard King. In fact, it’s only happened 104 times in NBA history, though it was the sixth time it has happened this season. Hart was fantastic, though it is unlikely he is able to come close to matching this performance anytime soon.

Hart was upgraded to probable Sunday afternoon, so his availability isn’t a surprise. The 31-year-old shooting guard has missed the last two games with left knee soreness. Landry Shamet will likely move back to the bench with Hart returning to the starting lineup.

Initially questionable, Hart is on track to play on Sunday after missing the final two games of the Knicks’ road trip. If he plays, Landry Shamet will return to the bench, and Jordan Clarkson may lose out on playing time as well.

Hart has missed the Knicks’ last two games due to a sore left knee, resulting in Landry Shamet moving into the starting lineup. Shamet, who would remain in that role if Hart can’t play on Sunday, can provide three-pointers in that role, but he struggled in Friday’s win over the Pacers.

The Pacers are certainly not trying to win many games right now, but neither were the Jazz, and they were up on the Knicks for a while on Wednesday. If Hart sits out on Friday, the Knicks will again turn to Landry Shamet for a bigger role with Jordan Clarkson playing around 25 minutes, as he did against the Jazz when he scored 27 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Hart was initially listed as questionable but is now expected to miss this game. Both Landry Shamet and Mohamed Diawara are candidates to replace Hart in the starting unit, though both should see a bump in minutes regardless.

Hart is dealing with soreness in his left knee. If he’s unable to play against the Jazz, Landry Shamet and Mohamed Diawara are potential replacements in the starting lineup. Both players would see their opportunities increase if Hart sits, regardless of who starts.

Hart finished Monday’s defeat with his 13th double-double of the season and third since the All-Star break. Due to decreased production across multiple categories, his fantasy value has dipped significantly since the All-Star break. The Knicks end their road trip with games against the Jazz and Pacers, two matchups that may serve Hart well. Fantasy managers will certainly hope that’s the case, as his value has been trending in the wrong direction, even with Monday’s double-double.

While Hart reached double figures in seven of the Knicks’ first games out of the All-Star break, he shot 43.2 percent from the field and 20.7 percent from three. The percentages weren’t an issue on Friday, with the Knicks’ wing shooting 2-of-4 from three and 6-of-8 from inside the arc. Add in the rebounds and assists, and Hart put together another solid performance.

Hart has a lower back contusion, so this doesn’t seem like a major concern. If he were to miss this game, that would likely mean more minutes and usage for Landry Shamet.

Hart entered Tuesday in a bit of a slump, having shot 12-of-36 from the field over the last three games. He cleaned that up in Toronto, shooting 6-of-7 from the field while recording a solid overall stat line. Three-point shooting can be an issue at times due to nerve damage in his right hand, but Hart entered Tuesday making over 38 percent of his attempts.

Hart was on triple-double watch at halftime, as he was already responsible for eight rebounds and nine assists. He finished with the 17th of his Knicks career, moving into third place on the franchise’s all-time list. Over the past two weeks, Hart has provided top-50 per-game value in nine-cat formats according to Basketball Monster. The Knicks play once more before the All-Star break, Wednesday night in Philadelphia.

After tweaking his left ankle during Friday’s loss to the Pistons, Hart playing on Sunday wasn’t a sure thing. Not only did he play, but the wing’s offensive output was a needed supplement to Jalen Brunson’s game-high 31 points. Before he first injured the ankle during Tuesday’s win over the Wizards, Hart was on a run of three straight games with at least 20 points. Depending on how much longer OG Anunoby (toe) is out, the Knicks will need Sunday’s version of Hart more often.

Hart returned from a one-game absence Friday against the Pistons only to suffer a sprained ankle in the 38-point drubbing at the hands of Detroit. The 30-year-old shooting guard is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Celtics and the Knicks could be severely short-handed with Karl-Anthony Towns (eye) and OG Anunoby (toe) also on the injury report.

Hart was back in the Knicks’ lineup after sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Nuggets, and he may have aggravated the ankle injury that was the reason for his absence. The Knicks’ wing pulled up while dribbling down the court during the third quarter and would exit shortly thereafter. There was no announcement regarding his status for the rest of the night, but Hart never returned to the bench after going back to the locker room. New York ends its Week 16 in Boston on Sunday.

Hart is good to go after a one-game absence, likely pushing Jordan Clarkson to the bench. However, there’s a chance that Clarkson remains with the starters, as OG Anunoby (toe) is a game-time decision. While Hart needs to be rostered in most fantasy leagues, Clarkson isn’t a must-stream player, regardless of league format.

Hart missed Wednesday’s game against Denver, which allowed Jordan Clarkson to start in his place. Clarkson scored 11 points in 24 minutes while Landry Shamet scored 16 points in 36 minutes off the bench. The duo will continue to play significant roles if Hart remains out for another game.

Hart left Tuesday’s win over the Wizards with a left ankle, finishing with four points and seven assists in 22 minutes. Now he’s been ruled out Wednesday against the Nuggets, which is a boost for the rest of the Knicks’ starters. New York has a 141-81 record since Hart was acquired and the majority of their wins this season have come with him in the lineup.

Hart exited early from Tuesday’s game against Washington and could end up missing this matchup with Denver. With his status up in the air, Landry Shamet could slide into the starting unit in place of Hart, which would allow him to be a decent source of triples.

Hart played 22 minutes before exiting Tuesday’s game with a left ankle injury, finishing with four points, seven rebounds, seven assists and one three-pointer. The Knicks held a 36-point lead when it was announced that Hart wouldn’t return, so there was no need to risk anything. The hope is that he’ll be able to play on Wednesday against the Nuggets. If Hart can’t go, Landry Shamet (14 points, one assist and four three-pointers in 21 minutes) is a candidate to move into the starting lineup.

Hart isn’t relied on for his scoring prowess, but the Knicks’ forward has been on a roll recently. Including Sunday, he’s recorded three consecutive 20-point games for the first time this season. And Hart’s production against the Lakers was needed, as stars Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined to score 23 points on 9-of-26 shooting. Hart doesn’t need to score 20 points to offer solid category-league value, but no fantasy manager will turn up their nose when he does.
