Hauser was initially listed as probable, so his availability isn’t a surprise. Since starting the first two games of the season, Hauser has been in a reserve role, and his minutes have dwindled. Unless he gets the chance to start, he shouldn’t be rostered.

Hauser is dealing with a sprained right wrist, a potentially problematic issue since he is a right-handed shooter. However, the probable tag suggests that this isn’t a serious issue and that Hauser will play. His availability does not significantly impact fantasy basketball, especially with Josh Minott playing well as the starting power forward.

Hauser replaced Josh Minott to start the second half of this game, but that didn’t lead to a good performance from either player. Hauser played 28 minutes to Minott’s 15, and it’s worth keeping an eye on to see if this is a move that will carry over into the Celtics’ game against the Wizards on Wednesday, or if this was just a result of Minott being in foul trouble again. Hauser is a good source of three-pointers, but Minott is a superior option in most other categories.

While Boston won the second quarter by a 35-18 margin, Hauser’s shooting late in the first quarter set the stage. The Celtics forward shot 5-of-6 from three in the second quarter, providing excellent value in the two categories he’s expected to. Hauser remains an option for managers needing points and three-pointers, but he will offer minimal category-league value overall.

The cost of contending for championships has gotten steeper, especially with the salary cap rules instituted in recent years. For the Celtics, the Achilles tendon rupture suffered by Jayson Tatum may impact how the front office approaches this offseason. If the team decides that a group that won’t have Tatum for most of the season can’t be a factor in the East, the decision could be made to shed salary. And Hauser, whose four-year, $45 million extension goes into effect next season, may be a prime candidate to be moved. “Hauser, to me, is the most likely candidate to go, just because you have (Baylor) Scheierman there to effectively fill his role,” Mannix said. “I think they’d love to find a home for Jrue Holiday, just because of the contract and where they are as a team. (Kristaps) Porzingis, who knows? I don’t think they want to take on contracts that go on longer than Porzingis’ deal, but he’s certainly available.” Hauser being traded would make Scheierman worth a look in deep fantasy leagues next season.

Hauser missed Games 2-4 after injuring his ankle in Game 1 of this series. With Jayson Tatum (Achilles) done for the year, Hauser could be relied on to play extended minutes as Boston looks to keep its season alive.

Hauser has been out of the Celtics’ lineup since spraining his ankle during Game 1. His likely return will give Boston another rotation player to call upon, as Jayson Tatum (Achilles) is out for the foreseeable future. With Kristaps Porzingis (illness) still not back to full strength, Hauser will play rotation minutes if cleared, potentially as a starter.

While Hauser was listed as questionable for Game 4 with an ankle injury, he hasn’t seen any game action since leaving early in Game 1 of the series. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla turned to Payton Pritchard for a series-high 35 minutes off the bench in Game 3 as the Celtics got back in the series with a 22-point victory. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see that recipe for success replicated in Game 4.

After missing Games 2 and 3, Hauser is in danger of missing Game 4 as well. He exited early from Game 1, and head coach Joe Mazzulla relied on Payton Pritchard to take on even more minutes off the bench instead of turning to another reserve to fill Hauser’s minutes. That will likely remain true if Hauser misses Game 4.

As expected, Hauser will remain sidelined for a second straight game after exiting early from Game 1 and missing Game 2. Head coach Joe Mazzulla simply tightened up the rotation with Hauser gone, and he will likely continue to stick with an eight-man rotation as the Celtics look to get their first win of this series.

Hauser injured his ankle during the third quarter of Game 1 and did not play in Game 2 on Wednesday. The doubtful tag for Game 3 suggests he’ll remain sidelined, leaving the Celtics down a member of their bench rotation. Boston stuck with an eight-man rotation in Game 2 and will likely do the same on Saturday, with Payton Pritchard, Kristaps Porzingis (or Al Horford) and Luke Kornet coming off the bench.

Hauser was listed as doubtful, so his absence isn’t surprising. Head coach Joe Mazzulla will likely lean on his starters more in what could be considered a must-win game after the Celtics dropped Game 1 at home.

Hauser is dealing with a right ankle sprain and is a long shot to appear in Game 2 given his doubtful listing. The 27-year-old small forward curiously didn’t play in the first half of Game 1 before rolling his ankle in the third quarter as the Celtics lost to the Knicks in overtime. The Celtics could opt to rely more heavily on their starters for the rest of the series, though that may be difficult with Jaylen Brown at less than 100 percent and Kristaps Porzingis dealing with an illness.

Hauser rolled his ankle after challenging an OG Anunoby three-point attempt during the third quarter. Immediately hobbling back to the locker room while the Knicks wing attempted his free throws, Hauser has yet to return to the Celtics’ bench. Boston may rely on its starters more to close out Game 1, but they could be down a rotation player for Wednesday’s Game 2.

Hauser came off the bench and played 22 minutes in the Celtics’ 36-point victory over the Hornets Friday. The 27-year-old small forward was feeling it from behind the three-point line as he made six three-pointers on his way to a 20-point game. The Celtics have a rematch with the Hornets Sunday afternoon and it’s likely Hauser will once again have a significant role.

The Celtics are without Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford, with the first two opening spots in the starting lineup. Hauser and Kornet will fill the voids, and both players are worth streaming in deep leagues due to Boston’s availability issues.

Hauser was held out of Monday’s win over the Kings, which led to Baylor Scheierman remaining in the Celtics’ rotation. With Hauser available, Scheierman’s minutes will likely decrease. The rookie has not been worth rostering in fantasy leagues, so nothing changes in that regard.

Hauser has been downgraded from questionable to out for Monday’s game. However, his absence will not significantly impact fantasy basketball, as Jaylen Brown has been cleared to return from his knee injury. JB will return to the starting lineup.

Hauser was scalding hot in Portland, shooting 8-of-10 from beyond the arc. While he did not provide much value in the other major fantasy categories, most managers know what they will get when streaming Hauser. The eight triples were one shy of his season-high, and Sam has reached double figures in three of his last four appearances. With the Celtics visiting Sacramento on Monday, there’s a chance Hauser gets another start, depending on who’s available.

With Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown out for Tuesday’s game, Hauser and Al Horford were part of the starting lineup. Neither stood out against the Nets, but the few who streamed the former did receive solid production on the glass. Hauser’s seven rebounds were the most in a game for him since February 12. As for Horford, he finished with four points, five rebounds, six assists and one three-pointer in 31 minutes. Tuesday wasn’t a great night for Horford or Hauser, but they’re worth streaming when the Celtics play without at least one of their starters.

The Celtics will play Tuesday’s game without Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Hauser and Horford have replaced the two stars in the starting lineup and have increased fantasy value due to the opportunity to start. Payton Pritchard also has added value despite coming off the bench.

Hauser was a viable streaming option with Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford all out Monday. The 27-year-old small forward came through with a huge scoring game. Hauser’s fantasy value is entirely contingent on the Celtics missing regular starters, but lines like tonight show that he can be a worthy streamer when the stars align.

Hauser was held out of Thursday’s win over the 76ers, as he sprained his right ankle the night prior against Portland. With Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum available, Hauser’s role will be limited if the Celtics clear him to play against the resurgent Lakers.

Hauser started Wednesday’s win over the Trail Blazers but struggled, shooting 2-of-9 from the field, and a sprained right ankle may have been a factor. If he can play against the 76ers, Hauser will likely remain in the starting lineup, as Jaylen Brown (knee) has been ruled out. If not, Jordan Walsh could potentially move into the starting five after playing 21 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.

Hauser replaced the injured Jayson Tatum in the Celtics’ lineup for Wednesday’s game and offered minimal value in the role. He shot 1-of-8 from beyond the arc, which spelled doom for those who streamed Hauser expecting a few three-pointers and a respectable point total. He did grab six rebounds, but that will not impact category league matchups much when the overall stat line is underwhelming.

With Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis out, Hauser made his second start in three games. To say this wasn’t an easy matchup for him would be an understatement. Hauser provided a decent rebound tally and two three-pointers, but fantasy managers didn’t receive much value from him or Payton Pritchard. Shooting 2-of-4 from the field, Pritchard finished Friday’s loss with six points, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in 25 minutes. He and Hauser will look to redeem themselves when the Celtics host Denver on Sunday.
