Lauri Markkanen is not available for Saturday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Hendricks will fill the void in a move that raises his fantasy ceiling. Kyle Filipowski should still play rotation minutes, but coming off the bench does decrease his value.

Hendricks only played 17 minutes in this game, and the lack of production was disappointing. The former top-10 pick has gotten chances this year but hasn’t been able to make the most of them often. Until Hendricks proves otherwise, he shouldn’t be rostered in redraft leagues but remains a worthy stash in dynasty formats.

For the first time this season, Svi Mykhailiuk is not part of Utah’s starting lineup. He’s been replaced by Hendricks, who brings a bit more to the table defensively as the Jazz have to account for Boston’s Jaylen Brown. The move into the starting five raises Hendricks’ ceiling, but his production has not been consistent enough to merit streaming in most leagues.

Hendricks’ offense has prevented him from making an impact for fantasy managers this season, which makes a performance like this one so encouraging. He set a new season high for scoring, which allowed him play a season-high 27 minutes, which led to a new season high for steals. If he can continue to contribute on offense, he’ll get more minutes, which leads to more defensive stats. He’ll look to stay hot against the Pistons on Friday.

Hitting double figures in points for the third time this season, Hendricks recorded his first career 20-point game on Sunday. With Lauri Markkanen (illness) being out, there were more opportunities available to the third-year forward despite his coming off the bench. Hendricks has not reached the point where he’s worth rostering in most fantasy leagues, but that could change as the season progresses, especially with the Jazz still rebuilding.

Hendricks will be back after a four-game absence. Kyle Filipowski is out, so Hendricks should see plenty of minutes off the bench, though he hasn’t been able to take advantage of the opportunities he has gotten this year. Cody Williams will likely lose out on minutes with Hendricks back.

Hendricks has missed Utah’s last four games, most recently sitting out Sunday’s double-overtime win over the Bulls. He hasn’t been productive enough to merit being rostered in most leagues, but the third-year forward should be in the Jazz rotation if allowed to play against the Lakers.

This will be a fourth straight absence for Hendricks, which will continue to open up extra minute for Kyle Filipowski and Cody Williams. Filipowski is the more intriguing option for fantasy managers, but he’ll still be in a reserve role, so his upside will be limited.

Thursday’s game will be the third that Hendricks has missed with a strained right hamstring. Kyle Filipowski and Cody Williams have picked up additional minutes off the bench, and the former will be worth a look in deep leagues since there are only three games on Thursday’s schedule. As for Williams, there’s no need to consider streaming him.

Hendricks will miss a second straight game, and with Kyle Anderson (back) and Kevin Love (rest) also sidelined, Kyle Filipowski is a prime candidate to take on a larger role off the bench as both a backup power forward and center.

Hendricks was bumped to the bench over the weekend with Isaiah Collier returning for the Jazz. Expect Collier and Svi Mykhailiuk to see additional minutes with Hendricks out of the rotation entirely against the Timberwolves on Monday.

Hendricks got his first start of the season and ended up being one of Utah’s most productive players. The third-year forward was one of three Jazz players to score in double figures on Sunday, and he was the only starter to shoot at least 50.0 percent from the field. Hendricks also attacked the offensive glass hard in his 25 minutes and made contributions from beyond the arc. He performed well in his first start and could be a name to highlight and remember for later in the fantasy season.

Mykhailuk and Hendricks will both enter the starting lineup on Sunday, filling in for Kyle Filipowski and Walker Kessler. Neither player’s production has jumped off the page from a fantasy basketball standpoint yet this season, but with starters’ minutes, they could be interesting streaming options as the Jazz look to snap a two-game losing streak. Nurkic, in particular, could be on double-double watch — he’s averaging 7.8 points and 7.6 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game.

Wednesday’s game may not have been official, but it was a big moment for Hendricks. The Jazz forward was playing in a live game for the first time since October 28, when he fractured his leg during a game against the Mavericks. He looked good against the Rockets, shooting the ball well from the field while being impactful as a defender and secondary playmaker. Utah did not have Lauri Markkanen for Wednesday’s game, and his absence makes a difference. However, Hendricks began last season as a starter and appears likely to regain that role. He’ll be worth a look as a late-round pick, especially with the Jazz rebuilding.

Hendricks went down with the injury just a few games into last season and ended up missing the rest of it, so this is a positive update after not much was said over the past 11 months. Hendricks is one of, if not the, best defender on the roster, so he’ll have a strong case to be part of the starting lineup. The offense was poor during his three games last year, but any improvement in that regard will help him have a successful third year.
