Ivey is dealing with left knee soreness and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, though he didn’t play in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors due to a coach’s decision. After the game, Ivey gave an ominous interview where he stated that he’s not the player he once was before the injuries. Now he’s on the shelf for two weeks, at which point he’ll be re-evaluated by the Bulls medical staff. Ivey hasn’t been a fantasy factor this season and his dynasty value seems to be cratering. A restricted free agent this offseason, Ivey likely needs to show something on the court before the end of the season if he’s going to have a market for his services.

Ivey is dealing with a left knee issue, and he did not see any action in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors. Given his concerning words after the defeat that he’s unlikely to be the player he was before the left leg injury, this may not be a short-term issue for Ivey. His absence won’t affect fantasy basketball in the short term, but Ivey’s value in dynasty leagues will take a hit.

In his Bulls’ debut, Ivey logged 33 minutes, a far cry from the playing time that he was getting in Detroit. While the move to the Windy City means that he’ll likely miss out on a chance to compete for a championship this season, it does allow Ivey to show that he can run a team. He’s rostered in 16 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but that number should increase with Ivey now in Chicago.

Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. will land in Chicago, while Kevin Huerter and Dario Saric will end up in Detroit. The Wolves also send a 2026 protected first-round pick swap to the Pistons in this deal. The Pistons swap out Ivey for another floor-spacer in Huerter, while the Bulls will surely be making more moves as they face an even greater logjam at guard. Stay tuned.

Cade Cunningham’s absence led to Ivey making his first start since he suffered a fractured fibula during a January 1, 2025, game against the Magic. He’s still on a minutes restriction, so the Pistons’ guard was unable to take full advantage of the opportunity. But Ivey did dish out four assists, with only Paul Reed (9/6/6/1 with one three-pointer) having more among the Pistons starters. Ivey still isn’t at the point where he should be rostered in most redraft leagues, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.

The Pistons are without Cade Cunningham for Wednesday’s game, as he’s out with a wrist injury. Ivey moves into the starting lineup, making his first start since returning from a fractured fibula on November 22. While this does raise Ivey’s ceiling, the boost may not be significant since Daniss Jenkins and Marcus Sasser are also available.

Ivey’s offensive production on Sunday wasn’t great, but this was a big night for him in other aspects. The Pistons’ guard played fourth-quarter minutes for the first time since December 15, and the 29 minutes were a season-high. With Caris LeVert (knee) leaving Sunday’s game during the third quarter, Ivey reaching the high-20s in minutes may happen again on Tuesday against the Lakers. He isn’t at the point where standard-league managers need to consider adding Ivey yet, but he’s worth watching.

While he hasn’t missed a game since making his season debut on November 22, Ivey notched an important achievement on Monday. For the first time this season, the Pistons guard played at least 20 minutes in a game, logging 21. Ivey’s stat line was only missing a blocked shot, and the overall production was solid, aside from the field-goal percentage. A return to the starting lineup may not be in the cards for Ivey anytime soon, but he’s capable of providing solid value once he gets to 25 minutes per game.

Ivey is still working his way back from a fractured fibula, most recently playing 15 minutes off the bench in Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics. The Pistons also play on Saturday against the Heat, so fantasy managers should assume that he’ll miss one of the next two games. Daniss Jenkins may play more minutes after logging just eight on Wednesday.

Ivey followed up Saturday’s 10-point season debut with another double-digit scoring outing on Monday. His 12 minutes of game action against the Pacers were slightly fewer, but he got up more shots and found more production from beyond the arc. Ivey finds himself in an interesting position as a full-time reserve behind a very productive starting backcourt. However, he should have plenty of opportunities to produce as the season progresses, and he potentially starts to play more minutes the further he is removed from the leg injury.

Ivey will make his second appearance of the season on Monday. After logging 14 minutes in his debut on Saturday, the Pistons guard will likely take on a similar workload against the Pacers. Due to the minutes restriction, Ivey is not a must-roster player at this point.

Ivey made his season debut on Saturday, playing 14 minutes off the bench in a win over the Bucks. Fantasy managers should expect a similar approach on Monday, as Ivey had not appeared in a game since New Year’s Day due to a fractured fibula.

For the first time since suffering a fractured fibula on New Year’s Day, Ivey was playing in an official NBA game. While he was not inserted into the starting lineup immediately, as Tobias Harris (ankle) was, that was unsurprising given the time missed. Ivey played 14 minutes and was relatively effective in those moments, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and hitting double figures. His return impacts Daniss Jenkins (7/1/3/1 with one three-pointer) more than any other Pistons guard, with the second-year guard playing 13 minutes. While the Pistons do end Week 6 with a back-to-back, Ivey’s return makes Jenkins surplus to requirements in most fantasy leagues.

Ivey, who hasn’t appeared in a game since New Year’s Day, will be available for Saturday’s game. Given the time missed, his minutes will likely be limited. Slotting Ivey into fantasy lineups immediately isn’t necessary, but he’ll be a valuable perimeter option once the Pistons sort out what is now a crowded rotation.

Ivey missed the first 15 games of the season after having surgery on his right knee. The 23-year-old shooting guard doesn’t have a set return date and only began on-court work last week, but being listed on the injury report as questionable certainly represents progress in his recovery. Even if he is active on Saturday, Ivey would likely be on a minutes limit.

Working his way back from a fractured left fibula suffered during a New Year’s Day game against the Magic, Ivey has been dealing with right knee discomfort during the preseason. While the knee issue is not related to the fractured leg suffered last season, it was problematic enough to result in an arthroscopic procedure that will keep Ivey out for at least four weeks. Duncan Robinson started Detroit’s most recent preseason game, an October 14 loss to Cleveland, and he may be the favorite to hold onto that role when the regular season begins. Ivey’s absence will also boost the fantasy values of Ausar Thompson and Tobias Harris, as both must provide more production.

Monday’s exhibition may not have counted toward official records, but it was a big day for Ivey. The Pistons guard was on the floor in game action for the first time since New Year’s Day, when he suffered a fractured fibula during a game against the Magic. Unsurprisingly, Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff did not push Ivey or any of the starters too far against the Grizzlies, but the playing time should increase as the regular season gets closer. Before his injury, Ivey shot a career-best 40.9 percent from beyond the arc. While the Pistons did add Duncan Robinson and Caris LeVert during the offseason, they’ll need Ivey to continue on that trajectory, especially with fellow starter Ausar Thompson (5/5/3/2/1) not being much of a perimeter shooter.
