    Recap

Bronny James accounted for 17 points (6-of-10 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, five assists and three three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Clippers.

James put forth his best performance of the NBA 2K26 Summer League on Monday, leading the Lakers in scoring and offering solid value in the rebound and assist categories. Looking forward to the regular season, the second-year guard is not in a great position to provide tangible fantasy value. The Lakers remain in win-now mode, likely limiting Bronny’s opportunities to contribute. His ability to crack the rotation will likely hinge on what James can provide as a defender and perimeter shooter.

    Recap

Bronny James recorded 14 points (5-of-11 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), one rebound, three assists, two steals, one block and one three-pointer in Saturday’s win over the Pelicans.

Since arriving in Las Vegas, James’ playing time has increased compared to his minutes during the Lakers’ games at the California Classic. He was solid against the Pelicans, providing value on both ends of the floor. While the chances of him impacting fantasy basketball next season are slim, Bronny’s best path to playing time may be showing that he can be a factor defensively. James recorded two steals and a block after failing to record a steal or blocked shot in Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks. Stats don’t tell the whole story defensively, but being more active in that area will only boost Bronny’s prospects.

    Recap

Bronny James only contributed two points (1-of-5 FGs), one rebound, one assist and two steals against the Spurs on Tuesday.

James’ role in Summer League so far has been limited; he played just 15 minutes on Tuesday after playing 11 minutes on Sunday. Perhaps they’re saving him for their showdown with Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks on Thursday.

    Recap

Bronny James accounted for 10 points (3-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, one steal and two three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Heat.

Inactive for the Lakers’ first game of the summer on Saturday, James was available and in the starting lineup on Sunday. He only played 11 minutes, but the Lakers guard knocked down two corner threes and opened the action with a breakaway dunk. Expecting Bronny to earn consistent rotation minutes next season may be a bit ambitious, but this is an important summer for him after playing sparingly as a rookie.

    Recap

Bronny James started on Sunday and contributed four points (2-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, six assists and four steals against the Trail Blazers.

He struggled as a scorer in his first career start, but James was able to impact the game in other ways. He set new career highs for both assists and steals while playing a career-high 38 minutes. The Lakers rested their starters since this game had no impact on their place in the standings. It was good to get an extended look at the rookie, but he won’t be part of the rotation in the playoffs.

Bronny James Jr., Shake Milton, Dalton Knecht, Markieff Morris and Alex Len will start against the Trail Blazers on Sunday.

It will be five new starters for the Lakers in the regular season finale with the rest of their typical opening unit sitting out to prepare for the playoffs. Jaxson Hayes is the lone usual starter that will be available, but his absence from the starting unit implies that he may not play a significant role.

Bronny James (illness) is out against the Pelicans on Friday.

James has been downgraded from questionable to out for Friday’s game. His absence does not impact fantasy basketball, as the rookie has not been a rotation player when available.

    Recap

Bronny James led the Lakers with 17 points (7-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, five assists, one block and two three-pointers in a 118-89 loss to the Bucks on Thursday.

The Lakers played this game without six key rotation players, including four starters. The game got out of hand quickly, as expected, which allowed Bronny to take on a larger role. He took advantage of the opportunity against a good team, and while it wasn’t a perfect game, it was the best of his career. It is unlikely that he gets another chance like this before the final week of the regular season, depending on how the standings play out. However, it was an encouraging performance for a young player that has faced a lot of criticism.
