Absent from the initial report released by the Nuggets, Johnson is now questionable for injury management reasons. If he does not play against the Thunder, Tim Hardaway Jr. stands to benefit the most among the available reserves.

Johnson was one of several Nuggets players to produce on the offensive end against the Grizzlies. Specifically, he was one of eight to finish with double-digit points, utilizing efficient shooting from beyond the arc and success inside the three-point line to conclude as the team’s second-leading scorer. After a slow start to the season regarding three-point shooting, Johnson has really picked it up and turned in an efficient season. His scoring uptick in April could prove to be valuable with the playoffs just around the corner.

Johnson has now made multiple three-pointers in seven consecutive games, providing the consistent production in that category that was absent for significant stretches earlier this season. Better late than never for those who stuck with the Nuggets wing throughout this season. For those whose leagues run through the end of the regular season, Denver plays four games in Week 24, starting with the Trail Blazers on Monday.

Johnson exited early on Sunday, but that won’t keep him sidelined against Utah. He’ll occupy his typical starting spot, which means Julian Strawther won’t receive any boost.

After appearing to grab his side, Johnson departed for the Nuggets’ locker room during the third quarter of Sunday’s game. It was eventually announced that the forward was dealing with back spasms. While Johnson did return to the bench to rejoin his teammates, he did not check back into the game. The Nuggets are off until Wednesday; if Johnson is not available, Julian Strawther could sneak into the back end of the rotation.

After his streak of games with at least three three-pointers ended with an 0-of-4 night in Friday’s win over the Raptors, Johnson found his stroke on Sunday. The Nuggets’ forward made five of seven attempts from beyond the arc, and he’s up to 17 three-pointers in his last five games. And this is good timing for Johnson, as the Nuggets’ rotation returned to full strength on Sunday with Peyton Watson returning from a strained hamstring.

Johnson, who has struggled for most of his first season in Denver, appears to be turning things around. He’s scored at least 15 points in three straight games, with the 18 points in Friday’s overtime loss being the most in a game for Johnson since hitting that number in a February 19 loss to the Clippers. For fantasy managers, now would be a great time for Johnson to provide consistent production, especially with the playoffs in Yahoo! default leagues beginning in Week 21.

Having struggled for most of the season, Johnson’s line on Wednesday was in line with what many fantasy managers hoped to get from him consistently. He shot 3-of-3-of-5 from beyond the arc, while recording a complete stat line. The Nuggets play two more games in Week 20, starting with the Spurs on Thursday, and they’ll need Wednesday’s version of Johnson consistently if they’re to make a deep playoff run.

While Johnson is dealing with back spasms, the probable tag suggests that he’s on track to play Wednesday night. If he’s unable to go, Julian Strawther is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup.

Back in the Nuggets’ lineup after missing two games with a sprained ankle, Johnson played 22 minutes on Friday. He was under a minutes restriction, but the fact that the Nuggets were blown out may have put Johnson on the bench earlier than anticipated. Denver doesn’t play again until Monday in Oklahoma City, the first of four games they’ll play in Week 20.

Injured on March 1, Johnson is good to go for Friday’s game. He will be under a minutes limit on Friday, which may leave Julian Strawther in the starting lineup. Fantasy-wise, Johnson has been a disappointment in his first season with the Nuggets. More important for him is to be healthy and playing well going into the postseason.

Johnson will miss a second straight game with this ankle injury. Jonas Valančiūnas started in his place on Monday and logged 17 minutes. Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. ended up seeing the largest role increase, with both logging 32 minutes off the bench. Johnson could return to take on the Knicks on Friday,

Johnson did not play in Monday’s win over the Jazz, which moved Jonas Valančiūnas into the starting lineup. However, JV played only 17 minutes, which isn’t enough time for him to impact fantasy basketball, especially with Nikola Jokić available.

Johnson, who was dealing with right ankle inflammation before Sunday’s game, logged 23 ineffective minutes before exiting during the third quarter and not returning. The veteran forward has struggled recently, and that was before the ankle became an issue. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown are likely to pick up additional minutes if Johnson has to miss time. Denver visits the Jazz on Monday, the first of three games they’ll play in Week 19.

Johnson was initially probable for Sunday’s game, so the expectation was that he would be available. He’ll occupy his usual spot in the starting lineup, with the Nuggets hoping to get more production from the forward than they did in Friday’s loss to the Thunder.

Johnson, who struggled in Friday’s loss to the Thunder, is dealing with right ankle inflammation. His potential absence would not have a significant effect on fantasy basketball, but it would push Bruce Brown or Tim Hardaway Jr. into the starting lineup.

Johnson played and started for the first time since December 23, with Spencer Jones moving to the bench. The 29-year-old small forward was efficient with 14 points on nine field goal attempts. Johnson will have to look to be more aggressive in the future as Julian Strawther and Tim Hardaway took more shots and outscored him on Saturday.

Johnson is back in the lineup for the first time since December 23, and the decision to start him means that Spencer Jones will come off the bench. While his minutes will be restricted, Chicago’s defensive struggles could benefit Johnson. The other change to the lineup is Strawther, who steps in for the injured Peyton Watson.

Johnson has been sidelined with a knee injury since December 23. The 29-year-old small forward is usable in fantasy if he returns to the starting lineup, but if he’s coming off the bench a wait-and-see approach might make more sense for fantasy managers.

Johnson’s upgrade to questionable signals a return to the floor is not far away. The first-year Nuggets forward was injured on December 23 against the Mavericks and has not played in any of Denver’s 23 games since. He’s had an up-and-down season, but he was playing better before the latest injury. Should Johnson return, it’ll likely be to the starting lineup, where he’ll have a chance to pick up where he left off.

Johnson hyperextended his right knee during Tuesday’s loss to the Mavericks and was diagnosed with a bone bruise. With Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon still out, the Nuggets will be down three starters for the foreseeable future. Johnson’s absence opens the door for Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. to step up. While the latter is mainly a three-point specialist, the former can be more useful to fantasy managers needing production across the board.

Johnson’s injury will open up additional playing time for the likes of Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. Brown and THJ are both worth adding off the waiver wire, though Brown offers more across-the-board production compared to Hardaway Jr.'s skillset as a three-point specialist.

Johnson and Jamal Murray did their impression of the splash brothers Monday against the Jazz as the pair combined for 12 three-pointers. Johnson’s six threes were the only field goal attempts he made. He only played 29 minutes as the Nuggets were able to rest their starters for the entire fourth quarter. Johnson was likely in line for a ceiling game if he had continued playing.

Slowly but surely, Johnson’s production is improving as he gets more comfortable in his new home. Thursday’s tally was the highest for the Nuggets wing since November 28, when he scored 28 points in a loss to the Spurs. Over the last two weeks, Johnson has been ranked just inside the top-150 in nine-cat formats. While playing alongside Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray results in cleaner looks for Johnson, he may also have a lower fantasy ceiling for the same reason. Hopefully, he’ll continue to close in on his Yahoo! ADP (92).

While the absences of Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon have to be considered, Johnson appears to be getting more comfortable with his new teammates. He’s hit double figures in three straight and five of his last six appearances, with Friday’s being the best of the bunch. Johnson has provided top-50 value over the past two weeks. He’s still rostered in 77 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and those who didn’t give up on Johnson are being rewarded for their patience.

After a terribly slow start to the season, Johnson has looked more comfortable in recent games. He’s reached double figures in three of his last four, with Saturday’s performance being Johnson’s best as a Nugget. Still rostered in 75 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been a top-100 player in eight-cat formats over the past week. Johnson will look to build on this run when the Nuggets visit Memphis on Sunday.

Having entered Monday shooting 37.2 percent from the field and 21.1 percent from three, Johnson needed a good night in the worst way. Against the Bulls, he shot 5-of-7 from beyond the arc and finished with season-highs in points and three-pointers. This was the first game in which Johnson made at least three three-pointers in a game, and his previous high point total was 15. One game does not make Johnson a player worth rostering in 12-team leagues again, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Johnson is back after a one-game absence, and he will be in the starting lineup. Tim Hardaway Jr. will head to the bench, where he offers a lower fantasy ceiling. Johnson has struggled to begin his time in Denver and is no longer a must-roster player in 12-team leagues.

Johnson, who has struggled when available, did not play in Saturday’s win over the Timberwolves. Peyton Watson received the starting nod and was productive; he may hold onto the job even if Johnson is deemed healthy enough to play. Given his struggles, Johnson is droppable in 12-team leagues.
