Jones was acquired via trade by the Thunder and subsequently waived last month. The 23-year-old shooting guard averaged 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 15 games for the Wizards last year. While the Pistons are a playoff team with a deep rotation, Jones will serve as valuable depth in Detroit.

Like fellow reserve Tristan Vukcevic, Jones experienced an increase in playing time due to the starter’s minutes being limited. Kyshawn George (5/2/1 with one three-pointer) played 15 minutes, with Jones being the beneficiary on a day when Washington only played seven. The second-year wing recorded his first career double-double, with the stat line including a career-high 10 rebounds. While George appears to have the edge regarding 2025-26 fantasy value, Jones is worth watching during Summer League play. The move from Sacramento to Washington has resulted in him receiving more opportunities to play, which he needed.

Jones is back after sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Kings. With Jordan Poole, Khris Middleton and Kyshawn George all out of the Wizards’ lineup, the second-year guard should be in the rotation on Thursday. Jones is not a must-stream player in this spot, but he would be worthy of consideration for managers who missed out on Bub Carrington or AJ Johnson.

Colby Jones had more opportunities recently with Khris Middleton out, but now he finds himself sitting with a leg injury Wednesday. AJ Johnson appears to be in line to pick up the slack against the Kings.

The Wizards are without Khris Middleton and Kyshawn George for Wednesday’s game, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. The vacancies will be filled by Jones and Champagnie, with the latter making his first start as an NBA player. The former second-round pick has an opportunity to prove himself to the team that acquired him from the Kings at the February deadline. As for Champagnie, he is worth streaming when allowed to start.

Jones played 25 minutes in his second game with the Wizards on Monday and had just two points against the Trail Blazers. The 22-year-old shooting guard was much better this time around. He dropped 24 points on 11 shots and made all four of his three-point attempts. While Jones benefitted from Kyshawn George being out with a knee injury, it’s possible he’s earned himself more minutes with this performance. He could have value in deeper formats if that’s the case.

Jones made his return to the lineup after missing multiple games with an Achilles injury and played a whopping three minutes in a blowout loss to Detroit. Jones will be available again, but it’s unlikely that he sees a significantly larger role in the rematch.

Jones has yet to appear in a game since the Wizards acquired him from the Kings, and that will not change on Wednesday. His continued absence does not impact fantasy basketball.
