Jaquez played 34 minutes off the bench with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo out. While the Heat will get its stars back at some point, fantasy managers have to be pleased with Jaquez’ production so far. He’s providing fifth-round fantasy value and is still available in most leagues. The Heat are off until their rematch with the Knicks on Monday.

Jaquez was one of two Heat players to establish a new career-high in rebounds, with Kel’el Ware being the other. Challenging to assess during draft season, Jaquez has provided excellent fantasy value despite coming off the bench. Rostered in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s providing fifth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. It’s fair to question what Jaquez can do once the Heat get Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo back, but that shouldn’t be a concern at this moment. The only negative is that Miami plays only twice more in Week 4 and will be finished with their week on Friday.

Jaquez, who entered the night questionable with an ankle injury, served as Miami’s offensive catalyst, dishing out seven assists and delivering several clutch buckets — including a go-ahead layup with just over two minutes left. The 24-year-old guard has done a little bit of everything for the Heat while Tyler Herro remains sidelined following offseason ankle surgery, averaging 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in 30 minutes per game — all career highs.

Jaquez exited early on Friday with an ankle injury and popped up on the injury report as questionable as a result. However, Jaquez will be available and should play a significant role off the bench after logging 33 minutes in a blowout win against Charlotte.

Jaquez left Friday’s game against the Hornets with an ankle injury. The 24-year-old shooting guard sprained his ankle with just minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. His status is up in the air given his questionable designation. If Jaquez is ruled out, Nikola Jovic figures to see additional minutes.

Jaquez has gotten off to an excellent start this season, providing seventh-round value in nine-cat formats. Unfortunately, fantasy managers will have to account for the possibility that he doesn’t play in Saturday’s game against Portland after spraining his left ankle with just over a minute remaining in Friday’s victory. If Jaquez sits, that would free up additional minutes for fellow reserve Nikola Jović, who finished with 10 points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals and one blocked shot in 19 minutes.

It was a nice homecoming on Sunday night for the former UCLA Bruin, who scored a season high in points against the Lakers. The 30-point effort came just two games after logging a previous high of 28 points against the Hornets. Similar to the game against Charlotte, Jaquez Jr. shot the ball efficiently from the floor and made his way to the free-throw line frequently to conclude as the Heat’s leading scorer on the evening. Additionally, the third-year forward made his usual impact as a rebounder and facilitator in his 34 minutes of game action. He finished with a strong performance overall and has a chance to do so again against the Clippers on Monday night.

Jaquez may not have been Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra’s choice to step in for the injured Norman Powell, but that did not prevent from from having an excellent night. And he’s gotten off to a good start this season, scoring at least 13 points in all four games (17 or more in three straight). Rostered in 28 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Jaquez is worth a look if Powell’s groin injury keeps him out for multiple games. Miami has games on Thursday and Sunday to end Week 2, the second of which (at LAL) is the first game of a back-to-back.

Challenging to rely on in fantasy basketball last season, Jaquez has gotten off to a good start this season. He’s scored 17 points in consecutive games, which he accomplished once in the 2024-25 campaign. Consistent production will ensure Jaquez of rotation minutes, especially once Tyler Herro and Kasparas Jakučionis are healthy enough to play. The wing rotation is not as crowded now as it will be, and Jaquez has taken advantage through Miami’s first three games. He isn’t a must-roster player, especially with the Heat playing three games during Week 2, but Jaquez is worth watching.

Everyone was productive for the Heat in this dominant road win, and Jaquez was no exception. He recorded a double-double off the bench, which came after he had 13 points, six rebounds and two steals in the season opener. It has been a solid start to the year for Jaquez, which has been helpful for Miami with Tyler Herro (ankle) unavailable. Jaquez may continue to hold value until Herro is back in the lineup, which is likely at least a few weeks.

After playing 15 minutes as a starter in Sunday’s loss to the Magic, Jaquez was used in a reserve role Monday night. And he played well, shooting 50 percent from the field while recording a solid stat line. However, even with Tyler Herro (ankle) unavailable, Jaquez is not in a spot where he can provide consistent fantasy value. At best, he’s a player that fantasy managers can add to their early-season watchlists. If Jaquez takes on a larger role and is productive, he’d be worth picking up.

Thus far, the preseason has functioned as an open audition for those looking to fill the void left by the injured Tyler Herro. After receiving the opportunity to start Saturday’s preseason opener, Jaquez came off the bench against San Antonio and performed well. Dru Smith started on Wednesday, finishing with six points, one assist and two three-pointers in 13 minutes. Davion Mitchell has not been available for either exhibition, and he’ll likely have something to say about who will start for Herro when the regular season begins.

With Tyler Herro (ankle) set to miss time, the expectation was that Davion Mitchell would start at point guard until he returned. However, in Miami’s first preseason game, it was Jaquez that got the nod. Mitchell didn’t play, so it’s unclear if Jaquez will retain the role when he is available.

The Heat rested most of their key contributors for Sunday’s regular-season finale, resulting in Jaquez having the ultimate “green light” offensively. The good news for fantasy managers in active leagues who streamed him is that the offensive freedom did not crater his efficiency. Jaquez shot 68 percent from the field and finished with a career-high point total. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and Sunday’s performance should instill some confidence in Jaquez ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with Chicago, even if his role is going to be vastly different with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo on the court.

Inserted into the Heat starting lineup due to Andrew Wiggins’ absence, Jaquez did not provide much value as a scorer. However, category league managers can benefit from the rebounds, assists and defensive stats. Rostered in nine percent of Yahoo! leagues, Jaquez has been ranked outside the top 300 in nine-cat formats since the All-Star break. While he would be worth a look if Wiggins remains out, Jaquez has not been consistent enough to qualify as a must-add.

The Heat are without Andrew Wiggins (leg) for Monday’s game, and his absence has prompted two changes to the starting lineup. Jaquez will fill the void left by Wiggins, while Highsmith replaces Kel’el Ware. Jaquez is worth streaming in deep leagues out of necessity, while managers who have Ware rostered should hold onto him.

Kel’el Ware, available despite dealing with a knee injury, will come off the bench for the first time since January 19. Davion Mitchell is also moving to the bench, which means the ball will be in Tyler Herro’s hands even more than usual. With their moves into the starting lineup, Robinson and Jaquez will be more valuable in fantasy leagues.

Jaquez is back after missing three games with a sprained ankle. He’ll provide depth on the wings, but the production this season has not been good enough to merit being rostered in most fantasy leagues.

Jaquez Jr. has missed Miami’s last three games, but there is a chance that he returns to the rotation against Minnesota. The Heat have dealt with multiple injuries on the perimeter recently, and Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins and Alec Burks are also questionable on Friday. Terry Rozier and Duncan Robinson would be in line for more minutes if Jaquez, and the other questionable players, are ruled out.

Jaquez is set to miss his third straight game Wednesday against the Cavaliers. Alec Burks, Duncan Robinson and Terry Rozier could all see expanded roles with Andrew Wiggins also out. Ware missed Monday’s game with a knee injury with Kevin Love taking his spot in the starting lineup.

Jaquez was sidelined on Sunday and is expected to remain out against Washington. Alec Burks and Duncan Robinson both played extended roles with Jaquez (and Andrew Wiggins) out, and Burks even entered the starting lineup. Both will continue to play large roles, though Wiggins is questionable, and his return may limit their production.

Jaquez Jr. sprained his ankle on a drive to the basket in Friday’s game against the Pacers. His doubtful listing makes it seem like his ankle hasn’t responded well enough so far and he’s likely to miss Sunday’s game against the Knicks. With Andrew Wiggins also doubtful with an ankle injury, Duncan Robinson is likely to move into the starting lineup and he would have streaming value.

Jaquez suffered what appeared to be a rather severe sprain of his right ankle on a drive to the basket during Friday’s game. The good news is that the X-rays were negative, but the second-year wing is done for the night. Alec Burks may be in line for more rotation minutes if Jaquez misses time, but the veteran guard offers limited fantasy upside. Also, Andrew Wiggins’ absence pushed Jaquez into the starting lineup for Friday’s game, so he would be first in line moving forward.

The Heat are without Andrew Wiggins for Friday’s game, as he will not play due to a sprained right ankle. Jaquez, who has provided minimal fantasy value this season, will move into the starting lineup. The promotion gives him a chance to achieve fantasy relevance, but Duncan Robinson may be a safer bet despite coming off the bench.
