Johnson suffered a left hip flexor injury during Tuesday’s win over the Wizards, exiting after playing six minutes. Jonathan Kuminga picked up additional minutes in his first appearance as a Hawk and was outstanding, scoring 27 points. Zaccharie Risacher and Mouhamed Gueye would also pick up minutes if Johnson sits, but Kuminga offers the highest fantasy upside.

Johnson only played six minutes before his exit, which will open up plenty of minutes for the reserves. Jonathan Kuminga, who is making his debut for the team, should see a nice bump in minutes, while Zaccharie Risacher and Mouhamed Gueye could play larger roles as well.

The Hawks trailed 104-97 with five minutes left in regulation before leading a furious comeback to win 115-104. Down the stretch, Johnson either scored or had an assist on all but two of the Hawks’ last 18 points. The 24-year-old small forward has provided 15th-overall per game value this season. The Hawks have three games upcoming in Week 18, starting with a matchup against the Wizards on Tuesday.

While Johnson finished Friday’s defeat with his 11th triple-double of the season, the efficiency was lacking. He kept the turnovers in check, but the 6-of-22 night from the field was one of the worst this season for the Hawks’ All-Star forward. The good news for Johnson managers is that Atlanta has another game to play in Week 17, at home against the struggling Nets on Sunday.

Johnson continues to absolutely carry the Hawks and fantasy teams alike. Over his last six games, the 24-year-old small forward is averaging 27.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 2.2 steals. Johnson is once again filling up stat sheets with his varied skillset. He’s provided 14th-overall per game value this season, according to Basketball Monster. The Hawks face the Heat on Friday on the second night of a back-to-back.

Johnson did a bit of everything in his return to the lineup after missing Monday’s game with a knee issue. He fell one assist shy of a triple-double, but he was still able to fill up the box score. Over his last five games, Johnson has averaged 26.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 10.6 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.8 triples per game. His breakout season has resulted in his first All-Star appearance, and he’ll look to stay hot after the break.

Johnson is good to go after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves. His return will push Asa Newell back to the bench and potentially out of the rotation entirely. Newell should be rostered in dynasty leagues, but that’s it.

Johnson did not play in Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves, with rookie Asa Newell replacing him in the starting lineup. Newell played 25 minutes, finishing with four points and four rebounds. If Johnson remains out, there would not be much to gain from streaming Newell in redraft leagues.

Johnson was a late addition to the injury report, and now he will be unavailable for this game against Minnesota. He has been on a tear over his last four games, and Atlanta will have plenty of available usage and minutes. Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell should both play larger roles with Johnson sidelined.

Johnson is a late addition to the injury report, which doesn’t bode well for his availability against Minnesota. If the do-it-all forward is sidelined, more minutes could open up for Mouhamed Gueye and Jock Landale.

Johnson, who’s headed to the All-Star Game for the first time next week, recorded another stellar stat line on Saturday. The only thing missing was a blocked shot, but he remained efficient as a scorer and playmaker. Over the past two weeks, Johnson has provided top-10 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. The Hawks open a five-game Week 17 on Monday in Minnesota, with three of the games scheduled for after the All-Star break.

After recording a total of two triple-doubles in his first four NBA seasons, Johnson now has ten in 2025-26 alone. The Hawks’ forward, who was named an All-Star for the first time on Sunday, is the unquestioned cornerstone in Atlanta, and likely for some dynasty league rosters as well. Johnson and the Hawks end Week 16 with a game against the red-hot Hornets on Saturday.

Since missing last Thursday’s game against the Rockets with a calf injury, Johnson has recorded a triple-double in back-to-back games. The 24-year-old announced his presence with authority midway through the first quarter Tuesday, catching the ball at the top of the key before making a defender miss and dunking on the rest of the Heat. Johnson is one of three players this season averaging at least 20 points, at least 10 rebounds and at least five assists, alongside Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo. He’ll look to keep his streak alive Thursday against the Jazz at home.

Johnson showed zero signs of rust in his return from a brief one-game absence due to left calf tightness, recording his eighth triple-double of the season. The 24-year-old rising star poured in 21 of his game-high 33 points during the opening half, ultimately hoisting a season-high 29 attempts as Atlanta mounted a late comeback effort that fell just short. He’s emerged as a certifiable all-around fantasy force, averaging 23.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks through 46 games. The Hawks have three games on tap next week including showdowns against the Heat, Jazz and Hornets.

Johnson is good to go after tightness in his left calf sidelined him for Thursday’s loss to the Rockets. Vit Krejčí, who returned to the starting lineup on Thursday, is out for Saturday’s game, freeing up Johnson’s spot in the lineup.

Johnson missed Thursday’s game against the Rockets with left calf tightness. He’s once again listed as questionable for the same injury Saturday against the Pacers. Corey Kispert moved into the starting lineup for Thursday’s game and had 17 points. He could start again if Johnson remains out, but isn’t worth rostering in most fantasy leagues.

Johnson has been ruled out for the second leg of this back-to-back. Atlanta will be incredibly shorthanded for this game with Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) also sidelined. Mouhamed Gueye has shined as a starter in place of Johnson previously, though there should be plenty of minutes for Asa Newell as well.

Johnson played 33 minutes in Wednesday night’s game against the Celtics and didn’t seem to suffer an injury, so this could be generic wear and tear. That being said, missing Johnson, who has emerged as a legit star this season, would be a big loss for the Hawks. Corey Kispert and Luke Kennard would likely see more minutes, with Nickiel Alexander-Walker and Dyson Daniels getting an uptick in usage.

Johnson finished Wednesday’s victory with another quality stat line, recording his fourth double-double in five games. His production across the board makes the Hawks’ forward one of the best players in fantasy basketball, providing first-round value in nine-cat formats. Johnson and the Hawks host the Rockets on Friday, the first of two games Atlanta will play before the end of Week 15.

Johnson couldn’t get it going as a scorer, but he did everything else in the box score, and fantasy managers ended up with another strong performance. Johnson will look to get back on track from an efficiency standpoint when the Hawks face the Celtics on Wednesday.

Johnson had a few rough performances in January, but the last three games have been strong. He has averaged 27.7 points, 16.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game during this stretch. He hasn’t been as strong in the other categories, but he has been a beast in points, rebounds and assists. He matched his career high for boards in this game, which he has now set three times this season. He’ll look to keep his dominance on the glass up against the Pacers on Monday.

Johnson wasn’t among the ten players named starters for next month’s All-Star Game, but there’s little doubt that he should be making the trip. The Hawks’ forward recorded another stellar stat line on Wednesday, finishing two assists shy of a triple-double. After taking one significant leap last season, Johnson has taken another, and that likely factored into the Hawks’ decision to trade Trae Young. Johnson has been a fantasy cornerstone this season, and that should be the case for future seasons as well.

Johnson produced another excellent stat line, finishing with his 28th double-double of the season. At this time last season, which is about when a shoulder injury sidelined him for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign, the Hawks forward had 20 double-doubles. Included in Monday’s stat line were 16 rebounds, two shy of his season and career-high. Look for Johnson to continue to flourish, and it would be unsurprising if he were named an All-Star reserve later this month.

Johnson followed a rough game against the Lakers with another unspectacular performance against the Trail Blazers. He scored his fewest points in over a month and was limited to fewer than 10 field-goal attempts. The number that best paints the picture of his night, however, is six, which represents the turnovers Johnson committed on Thursday. He’ll have a chance to get back on track on Saturday when the Hawks return home to face the Celtics.

Johnson put up another double-double for the Hawks, as he remains one of the top players in fantasy basketball regardless of league format. His top-25 production in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks represents a decrease in value; that’s how good Johnson has been this season. And with the Hawks trading Trae Young, the versatile forward is an unquestioned cornerstone in Atlanta.

Johnson’s meteoric rise continues as he steps into an expanded role for the Hawks from a facilitating and scoring standpoint with Trae Young no longer in the picture following his trade to Washington earlier this week. The 24-year-old snapped out of a brief cold spell in this one, finishing just shy of his eighth 30-point outing of the season while drilling a season-high five three-pointers and shooting a blistering 67 percent from the floor. He’ll be the straw that stirs the drink for Atlanta until further notice.

It was an inefficient night for Johnson, but he was still able to pour in the counting stats, which works out well for fantasy managers. He has still been one of the best players in fantasy basketball this season since subpar shooting nights like this haven’t happened often, though the turnovers have been plentiful all season. He’ll look to get back on track against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

It’s become abundantly clear that Atlanta’s offense will continue to run through Johnson even with Trae Young back in the mix. He’s eclipsed 20 points in seven of his last nine games since December 18. The 24-year-old rising star has contributed first-round fantasy value this season, averaging 24.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.5 blocks through 33 games. The Hawks are in line for a rematch against the Raptors on Monday before facing the Pelicans, Nuggets and Warriors to close out a four-game week.

After recording a double-double in seven straight appearances, Johnson posted his first triple-double since December 14, which was part of a streak of four consecutive triple-doubles. While the Hawks forward has been elite all season long, it’s no secret that his fantasy ceiling is raised when Trae Young (quad) is unavailable. Not only should Johnson be mentioned among the leading candidates for Most Improved Player, but he has also played well enough to deserve a trip to the All-Star Game.
