While Jackson certainly deserves credit for what he did in the points and three-point categories, what he didn’t do will undoubtedly strike a nerve with some fantasy managers. He did not record any rebounds or defensive stats in Friday’s victory. While Zach Edey dominated the boards for the Grizzlies, grabbing 21 rebounds, Jackson’s lack of production in that category was disappointing. Over the past two weeks, he has averaged just 4.4 rebounds per game, which is why Jackson has not been a top-100 player during this stretch.

Not only were Jackson’s 27 points a game-high, but they were also the most he’s scored in a game this season. While the rebounding production remains disappointing, JJJ’s overall stat line in Wednesday’s overtime victory was solid. The good news for Jackson managers is that he’s closing in on top-100 value. However, no one expected him to be that low in the rankings when the season began. The Grizzlies continue their road trip with games against the Clippers and Kings to end Week 6.

Back in action after a two-game absence, Jackson struggled with his perimeter shot on Monday. The Grizzlies’ forward/center was 1-of-8 from beyond the arc, but that wasn’t the most disappointing part of his night. Jackson did not record any defensive stats, and those categories are crucial for a mediocre rebounder like him. JJJ exceeded his season average in rebounds on Monday, but the 5.3 per game would be the lowest mark for him since the 2019-20 season (4.6).

Jackson is back in the lineup after missing two games with a sprained right ankle. As a result, Santi Aldama returns to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a slight hit. That’s the lone change to the Grizzlies’ starting five.

Jackson will return to the lineup after missing the last two games. His return could send Santi Aldama back to the bench for a Grizzlies team that is riding a multiple-game winning streak for the first time all season. Jackson is averaging 17.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in his 8th NBA season.

Jackson has missed Memphis’ last two games with a sprained right ankle, with Santi Aldama replacing him in the lineup. If JJJ remains out, Aldama will get another start, and he’s worth rostering in 12-team formats while that is the case.

Initially doubtful for Saturday’s game, Jackson has officially been ruled out. That means Santi Aldama will get another start, and he should be streamed until the Grizzlies get their starting power forward back.

Jackson did not play in Thursday’s win over the Kings, which resulted in Santi Aldama moving into the starting lineup. Aldama went off for 29 points and should be rostered in 12-team leagues whenever Jackson is unavailable. With JJJ considered doubtful, Saturday could be another big day for Aldama.

Jackson, who sprained his right ankle during Tuesday’s loss to the Spurs, will miss a game for the first time this season. Santi Aldama is the likely replacement, but his fantasy ceiling will be raised even if he comes off the bench.

Jackson is listed as doubtful with a right ankle sprain. The 26-year-old power forward isn’t expected to play, leaving the Grizzlies potentially without one of their best players. Jackson was in the midst of a down stretch anyway as his season averages to start the year are down from last year across the board. Santi Aldama could move into the starting lineup if Jackson is out on Thursday.

Jackson had a decent night scoring-wise, but the lack of defensive stats is concerning for a player who has been a mediocre rebounder. Counting Tuesday, he’s averaging 1.3 blocks per game, and this would be the third straight season in which JJJ has averaged fewer than two if that were to hold. Not only has his value in redraft leagues been disappointing so far, but dynasty managers can’t be thrilled with Jackson, either.

Jackson led the Grizzlies in scoring, but it was a tough night for him. He had his worst shooting percentage of the season, but he was able to get to the free throw line often and have success from there. Ja Morant (calf) exited early, and if he misses time, Jackson will only become more important to this offense. This was a new season-high for points, shot attempts and free throw attempts for Jackson.

Jackson Jr. played just 23 minutes on Wednesday, thanks to the score being one-sided, in favor of the Celtics. He led the Grizzlies in scoring and led the team in field-goal attempts along the way. He added a couple stocks on the defensive end but otherwise found very little production elsewhere. Jackson has scored 17 or more points in six of seven games during November.

The Grizzlies have lost six of their last seven games, but Jackson’s production has been relatively consistent. He’s scored at least 17 points in three straight and five of his last six games. The issue for Jackson has been foul trouble, with the Grizzlies forward picking up his third disqualification of the season on Tuesday. With Ja Morant’s inconsistent effort and production, the Grizzlies need even more from Jackson. And fantasy managers would also benefit from improved production.

Jackson didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, and his finishing in the paint was the issue. The Grizzlies forward shot 3-of-8 in the paint, which negatively impacted his overall field-goal percentage. However, the rebounds, blocks and three-pointers were solid, so all wasn’t lost for fantasy managers who have Jackson rostered. He’s providing seventh-round value in nine-cat formats, which isn’t the production that many hoped for based on JJJ’s Yahoo! ADP of 36. Memphis plays three games during Week 4, starting with the Knicks on Tuesday.

Jackson Jr. had an unspectacular night overall, but shot efficiently in the 29 minutes he played. He drained a pair of three-pointers in the process and connected on all three of his free throws. Yet, the former Defensive Player of the Year didn’t record any stocks and had very little impact on the glass. His scoring was the only noteworthy contribution from a fantasy basketball standpoint.

Ja Morant wasn’t the only culprit in the Grizzlies’ loss to the Rockets on Wednesday. Jackson had his lowest scoring output of the season with nine points on six attempts from the field. This was just the second time in eight games that the 26-year-old power forward shot worse than 50 percent in a game. Jackson is certainly better than this, but if he was more aggressive in getting shots up he wouldn’t have to be so efficient to get his points. If the Grizzlies are going to stop this three-game losing streak from growing, they’re going to need Jackson, who they signed to a max contract this offseason, to step up.

Jackson set his season-high for scoring in a second straight game. After scoring 20 points against Toronto on Sunday, he exceeded that mark against Detroit as the Grizzlies dropped a third straight game. Jackson’s scoring has been down early on this season, mostly due to seeing fewer shot attempts. However, he’s shooting efficiently, which helps make up for the lack of volume. He’ll look to make it three straight 20-point outings when they take on the Rockets on Wednesday.

JJJ scored a team-high in points on a night in which the Grizzlies were without their leading scorer, Ja Morant. With the efficient shooting, Jackson Jr. was able to reach the 20-point mark for the first time this season. The former Defensive Player of the Year didn’t land any stocks in this game, however, which has now happened in back-to-back games and for the third time already this season. The Grizzlies, and fantasy managers, would likely benefit from Jackson Jr. returning to last year’s form.

Jackson isn’t the offensive catalyst that Ja Morant is for the Grizzlies, but he’s certainly one of the teams’ best players. The 26-year-old power forward had just two points in the second half as Memphis blew a 14-point halftime lead to the Lakers on Friday. Jackson was also fairly quiet in the other categories as he had four rebounds, one assist and no blocks or steals before he fouled out. He could stand to be more assertive on offense as he only took eight shots in the game while Ja Morant, Jaylen Wells, Santi Aldama, Cedric Coward and Vince Williams Jr. all took more in a close loss.

Jackson has been consistent on offense, scoring between 16 and 19 points in each of the Grizzlies’ five games. However, that has not been the case on the boards. After totaling five rebounds in games against the Heat and Pacers, he’s grabbed 13 over the last two games. The Grizzlies need a bit more from Jackson in that category as they await the returns of Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke. And a consistently productive Jackson on the boards would also benefit fantasy managers.

Jackson Jr. did the bulk of his scoring in the beginning and end of Monday’s contest, but really struggled to make an impact on offense during the middle two quarters. He still found a way to score at least 15 points for the fourth time in as many games to begin the season, but tallied a season-low in points while shooting under 50.0 percent from the field for the first time. Jackson Jr. has yet to log a dominant performance on offense, but his next opportunity to do so will be on Wednesday against the Suns.

Jackson was able to get some offense going in the second half to end this game as the leading scorer for Memphis, but it was an ugly loss nonetheless. Jackson only played 21 minutes, and he was effective in the box score for only playing a limited workload. Jackson will look to help Memphis bounce back against Indiana on Saturday.

In his second appearance of the preseason, Jackson Jr. logged a similar stat line to his debut on Wednesday. He struggled with his shooting efficiency but had enough volume to come close to scoring 20 points. Foul trouble and a lack of rebounding were issues for the dominant defensive big man against the Heat, weaknesses that have persisted throughout his career. He’s still knocking off some rust in his return from a toe injury, but he looks as though he’ll be ready to go for the Grizzlies when they begin the regular season against the Pelicans on October 22.

Jackson, who had been sidelined with a toe injury, suited up for the first time this preseason and was immediately a focal point of the offense. It wasn’t his best shooting night, but it was good to see him back on the floor, considering how many injuries the Grizzlies are already dealing with. Jackson should be available to start the regular season, assuming he doesn’t suffer any setbacks.

Jackson, who underwent toe surgery this summer, had been cleared to start ramping up late last month. Obviously, this is a great sign for his status ahead of the start of the regular season next week. He’ll likely be limited in his first game back, but he should be good to go to start the year.

Jackson underwent surgery in early July to address a turf toe injury in his right foot. While he’s still on track to miss the beginning of the regular season, Friday’s announcement by the Grizzlies is a step in the right direction. Jackson is expected to return in four to six weeks, so he may not miss much time during the regular season. With Zach Edey (ankle) and Brandon Clarke (knee) out, the Grizzlies will rely even more on Santi Aldama to begin the season, with GG Jackson potentially having more opportunities to prove himself.
