Jakučionis started a second straight game with Tyler Herro (quad) sidelined, and this outing was far more productive than the first. He set a new career high for rebounds and had one of his most effective scoring nights of the season. Jakučionis clearly has plenty of talent and is only 19 years old, making him a valuable asset in dynasty leagues. However, his lack of consistent minutes makes him a difficult player to roster in standard leagues.

Already without Andrew Wiggins, the Heat will also be without Tyler Herro for Tuesday’s game. As a result, Jakučionis moves into the starting lineup, but he has offered limited fantasy value on most nights when allowed to start.

The Heat won’t have Davion Mitchell (illness) for Saturday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. He’ll be replaced by Jakučionis, as Tyler Herro (ribs) remains under a minutes restriction.

For the second straight game, Jakučionis finished with at least 20 points and exactly six three-pointers. Those are the only two such games of his career. The rookie got off to a hot start, scoring 17 points in the first half. Unfortunately, he cooled down after the break and wasn’t able to expand on his early success. Still, it was great to see Miami’s first-round pick have a productive outing for the second time in 24 hours.

Jakučionis had the best game of his rookie season on Sunday, recording new highs in points and three-pointers. The 6-foot-6 guard shot 6-of-6 from beyond the arc and made 80 percent of his attempts from the field. Jakučionis’ fantasy value moving forward depends on the availability of Davion Mitchell (5/2/3/1 and one three-pointer in 25 minutes), as his opportunities tend to be limited when “Off Night” is available. With Sunday’s game being a blowout, Jakučionis got to play more during the fourth quarter.

Jakučionis left Saturday’s win over the Jazz after taking an elbow to the face in the fourth quarter. While the play looked a lot worse than it actually was, Jakučionis only suffered a facial contusion. With Davion Mitchell ruled out Sunday, he could be in line for some extra minutes against the Suns.

Jakučionis exited Saturday’s win over the Jazz after taking an Ace Bailey elbow to the face during the fourth quarter. The good news is that he’s listed as having a facial contusion; things looked worse for the rookie in the immediate aftermath, as he had to be helped back to the locker room. With Davion Mitchell (shoulder) doubtful, the Heat may have to turn to Dru Smith to fill in at point guard.

Jakučionis took an inadvertent Ace Bailey elbow to the head while pursuing a rebound late in the fourth quarter, sending him to the floor immediately. The Heat rookie had to be helped back to the locker room by teammates Bam Adebayo and Norman Powell. Jakučionis finished with 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in 17 minutes. If Jakučionis and Davion Mitchell (shoulder) can’t play on Sunday in Phoenix, Dru Smith will have added importance.

Jakučionis got the starting nod with Davion Mitchell (shoulder) sidelined. That wasn’t surprising since he recently started in place of Mitchell when he was out. What was both surprising and frustrating was that he only played 11 minutes and was unproductive during his time on the floor. If Mitchell remains out against the Jazz on Saturday, it likely won’t be worth streaming Jakučionis.

Entering this game, Jakučionis had appeared in two games. Across those, he played a total of less than 10 minutes. He logged 35 minutes in his first career start, which led to the best game of his career. It took numerous injuries for him to enter the rotation, but he may have played well enough to have earned minutes when the team is healthy. He also provided some encouragement for dynasty managers that have patiently waited to see him this season.

With Davion Mitchell and Andrew Wiggins sidelined for the second leg of this back-to-back, Jakučionis and Jaquez will enter the starting unit. This will be the first career start for Jakučionis, who the Heat drafted 20th overall in June. He has only appeared in two other games this season and has yet to play 10 minutes in a game. This will be a big opportunity for him.

Injuries have limited Jakučionis to one appearance this season, a December 1 win over the Clippers in which he played 54 seconds. While the first-round pick is worth holding onto in dynasty leagues, there’s no reason to consider Jakučionis for redraft formats.

Jakučionis is available to make his NBA debut after missing time with a hip injury. While he may siphon a few minutes away from Dru Smith, it’s improbable that Jakučionis gets the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball immediately. At best, he can be added to watchlists in deep leagues.

Jakučionis has not appeared in a game this season, but that may change on Wednesday. His availability will not impact fantasy basketball immediately. Still, the rookie will give Miami another option to call upon on the perimeter as they await Tyler Herro’s return from foot surgery.

Jakučionis has yet to appear in an official game this season, and that won’t change on Sunday as the Heat begin their road trip in Los Angeles. Dru Smith has taken on the backup point guard responsibilities, and that won’t change for the foreseeable future.

Jakučionis won’t make his debut on Thursday, which means Dru Smith will spend another game as the backup point guard behind Davion Mitchell. It’s unclear when Jakučionis will be healthy.
