Back in the lineup after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Kings, Jerome produced another efficient stat line in 24 minutes of play. As long as he’s available, the Grizzlies’ guard needs to be rostered in 12-team leagues. It’s unknown when Ja Morant will return from his elbow injury, so Jerome should retain excellent value until then, at a minimum.

Jerome did not play in Monday’s loss to the Kings, opening up a spot in the starting lineup for Scotty Pippen Jr. Jerome’s return may push Pippen and Cam Spencer to the bench, with the latter being replaced by Walter Clayton Jr. based on how Grizzlies head coach Tuomas Iisalo handled the rotation when all four were available for Saturday’s loss to the Heat.

Jerome was a late addition to the injury report with an illness and was subsequently ruled out for Monday’s game against the Kings. Cam Spencer could move into the starting lineup with Scotty Pippen Jr. seeing additional minutes off the bench.

Jerome is a late addition to the injury report, so his availability against Sacramento is dubious. If Jerome is sidelined, Cam Spencer could join the starting lineup with Scotty Pippen Jr. earning some additional run off the bench.

While Jerome remains under a minutes restriction, he played a season-high 22 minutes on Saturday. As was the case in his prior six appearances, the Grizzlies’ guard had a productive night, although he did struggle with his shot. Saturday’s game was the first in which the Grizzlies started Jerome and Walter Clayton Jr. together, with the rookie accounting for nine points, four rebounds, six assists and one three-pointer in 25 minutes. That is something to keep an eye on moving forward, especially if Ja Morant (elbow) doesn’t return.

The Grizzlies continue to exercise caution with Jerome as he works his way back from a strained calf suffered during the preseason. With Scotty Pippen Jr. also out, the Grizzlies will rely heavily on Cam Spencer and Javon Small, with the former being the superior fantasy option.

Despite still being under a minutes limit, Jerome has been a valuable fantasy option when available. He’s scored at least 19 points in four of his five appearances this season, shooting 56.7 percent from the field. With the Grizzlies only playing once more before the All-Star break, Wednesday against the Nuggets, availability should not be an issue for Jerome. So even if Jerome remains capped at 20 minutes, he’s more than capable of providing reliable fantasy value.

Jerome is back after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Trail Blazers and will start, pushing Scotty Pippen Jr. to the bench. Also, the Grizzlies remain without Santi Aldama, which means Anderson will get another start as the small-ball center. With Coward and Wells back, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Jahmai Mashack will come off the bench.

Jerome did not play in Friday’s loss to the Trail Blazers, leading to Scotty Pippen Jr. making the start in his season debut. Pippen is out, so the Grizzlies can move Jerome back into the lineup without any fuss.

Friday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Grizzlies, so Jerome was bound to miss one of them, given how long he was out with a strained calf. Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) could be available to make his season debut, and he would absorb the minutes that would have gone to Jerome. Regardless of what happens with Pippen, Cam Spencer is available and should play enough to merit rostering in deep leagues.

While Jerome continues to start, he’s only playing about 20 minutes per game right now. The 28-year-old point guard is still putting up the numbers. Jerome had at least 19 points and at least six assists in his last two games before dropping 28 points with seven assists against the Kings on Wednesday. The Grizzlies have two more games this week, starting with a matchup against the Trail Blazers on the road on Friday.

Jerome remained on a minutes restriction, but that hasn’t stopped him from producing incredible value. Through two games, he is averaging 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 2.0 triples in just 20 minutes per game while shooting 54.5 percent from the floor. The absence of Ja Morant has allowed Jerome to immediately start after missing the first three months of the season, and he should be considered a must-roster player now. He’ll look to stay hot in Sacramento on Wednesday.

Rust? What rust? Saturday’s game was Jerome’s first after suffering a calf strain during the preseason. And the minutes limit didn’t matter, as the Grizzlies guard was highly productive in his 20 minutes on the floor. Cam Spencer (5/3/5/2 with one three-pointer) played 25 minutes off the bench, but Jerome’s immediate insertion into the starting lineup is a concern for those who held onto the second-year guard. Memphis’s four-game Week 16 includes a back-to-back, so Jerome may be limited to three games. That said, fantasy managers should add him immediately.

Making his Grizzlies’ debut on Saturday, Jerome will do so as a starter. However, head coach Tuomas Iisalo said during his pregame availability that the guard will be under a strict minutes limit. Cam Spencer heads to the bench, but Jerome’s minutes limit preserves the second-year guard’s streaming value. The other change is Williams, who steps in for the injured Jaren Jackson Jr.

Jerome is good to go for Saturday’s game, which will be his first of the season. Given the amount of time that Jerome has missed, his playing time will likely be restricted in his Grizzlies’ debut. Cam Spencer has been Ja Morant’s replacement in the starting lineup, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.

With Jerome listed as questionable, this is as close as he’s been to making his season debut. While his return may result in fewer minutes for Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr., both will remain in the rotation. Also, look for Jerome’s playing time to be restricted, given the time missed.

While being assigned to the Grizzlies’ G League affiliate on Wednesday appeared to be a step in the right direction, Jerome still is not ready to make his first appearance of the season. Cam Spencer will continue to run the show as the Grizzlies remain without Ja Morant.

Jerome has yet to make his debut for Memphis, but he was assigned to the G League on Wednesday, which is a positive step in his recovery. He isn’t expected to play on Friday, but being upgraded to doubtful is a sign that he will be back relatively soon. For now, Cam Spencer will continue to start and play most of the minutes at point guard.

Iisalo also said Jerome needs to “build up over the next week or two,” but he is “very close.” Jerome has yet to make his debut for Memphis after injuring his calf in the preseason finale. He still may not return until closer to the All-Star break, but he will eventually fill out some of the backcourt minutes for the Grizzlies. However, it seems likely that Ja Morant will remain with Memphis for the rest of the season, so there isn’t much upside for Jerome unless there is an injury in front of him.

Jerome suffered a high-grade calf strain during the preseason. At the time, the update was that he’d be re-evaluated in four weeks. Four weeks later, the 28-year-old point guard is expected to miss another 6-9 weeks. Jaylen Wells will continue to pick up minutes while Jerome is out.

Jerome injured his right calf four minutes into Friday’s preseason finale against the Heat. According to the Grizzlies, the guard has been diagnosed with a high-grade calf strain and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. With Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) out indefinitely and Ja Morant (ankle) working his way back after missing the entire preseason, rotation minutes may be available to rookie Javon Small. While solid during the preseason, Small is a deep-league streamer at best.

Jerome, who missed both shot attempts, injured his calf four minutes into Friday’s preseason finale. The Grizzlies were already without Ja Morant (ankle), and it was announced on Saturday that Scotty Pippen Jr. will undergo surgery to address a toe injury. If Jerome misses time and Morant remains out, the Grizzlies may begin the regular season with a point guard rotation of Javon Small and Cam Spencer. There’s no need to draft either one, but both should be on your streaming radars ahead of Wednesday’s opener against New Orleans.

The Grizzlies announced on Monday that Ja Morant was week-to-week with a sprained ankle. It’s possible that Memphis will begin the regular season without its starting point guard. Scotty Pippen Jr. emerged as a valuable streaming option last season, and Jerome could do the same in 2025-26 due to Morant’s injury history. In his first preseason game since signing with Memphis in free agency, Jerome started and was productive as a scorer and playmaker in his 19 minutes. Pippen played 20 minutes off the bench, finishing with 13 points, two rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer. Whichever guard wins that competition during the preseason will be worth having, especially in deeper leagues. And if Morant is not ready for the regular season, both will have value, similar to Indiana’s guard tandem of Andrew Nembhard and T.J. McConnell.

Jerome saw extensive action for the Cavaliers last season. The 27-year-old point guard appeared in a career-high 70 games averaging 19.9 minutes per game. Jerome averaged 12.5 points per game, 3.4 assists per game and shot a career-best 43 percent from behind the three-point line. While Jerome struggled in the playoffs, his signing is one of the best values of free agency so far.

Jerome was one of the best sixth men in the NBA this season, and the continued absence of Darius Garland (toe) means the Cavaliers need more production from him. However, he was inefficient in Game 1, shooting 40 percent from the field on 20 attempts. Among the Cavaliers who saw action, only Donovan Mitchell (30) had more attempts from Jerome. While Jerome’s ability to provide production off the bench will be critical in this series, the Cavaliers must share the wealth better than they did in Game 1.

This was the first postseason series of Jerome’s career, and it couldn’t have gone much better. He’s still never lost a playoff game, and he averaged 16.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.5 triples per game in this series. Jerome will continue to provide them with excellent depth, though if Darius Garland (toe) is back for Game 1 of the second round, Jerome may not be as productive, since he will likely lose out on minutes.

Despite the Cavaliers not having Darius Garland (toe), Jerome remained in a reserve role for Game 3. However, that did not prevent him from recording a career-high assist total and a double-double. With his play throughout the regular season and in this series, Jerome has likely secured himself a substantial contract in unrestricted free agency this summer. First and foremost is the need to take care of this series, with Game 4 scheduled for Monday.

On the day he was named a finalist for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award, Jerome showed why he was deserving of that distinction. Playing in his first playoff game, the Cavaliers guard finished with the fourth-most points scored off the bench in a postseason debut since 1971. Defending Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland was challenging enough for Miami; Jerome’s play was essentially the knockout blow in Game 1, scoring 16 points in the fourth quarter. He’ll look to build on this performance when the Cavaliers host Game 2 on Wednesday.

Sunday’s game was the first for Jerome since March 25, as a knee injury sidelined him for five games. The Cavaliers’ reserve guard showed no signs of rust against the Kings and has scored 20 points or more in 12 games this season. That’s double Jerome’s total in the first five seasons of his NBA career. While the mainstream conversation regarding the Most Improved Player award has focused on Cade Cunningham, Jerome is one of the under-discussed players whose name should come up more.
