If Kispert can crack the rotation in Atlanta, he’s another capable shooter who can knock down a few three-pointers off the bench. However, his role is unlikely to differ from the one he had in Washington, so fantasy managers can afford to leave Kispert on the waiver wire.

Surprisingly, no draft capital was included in the deal that ends Young’s time in Atlanta. Kispert is one of the two players headed in the opposite direction, and his addition gives the Hawks another perimeter shooter to place around Jalen Johnson if he can crack the rotation. For his career, he’s averaging 2.0 three-pointers per game on 38.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc. At best, Kispert will be a specialist who may offer deep-league value. However, this is not a deal that moves the needle for him, fantasy-wise.

Kispert will sit out after making his return to the lineup on Sunday, which was his first after a five-game absence. This is the first of a back-to-back, so he will likely be available against the 76ers on Wednesday. Justin Champagnie should see a boost in minutes with Kispert unavailable.

Sunday’s game was Kispert’s first since December 23, when he exited a loss to the Hornets with a hamstring injury. The former first-round pick had a solid night shooting-wise, making 50 percent of his attempts from the field and knocking down two three-pointers. However, Kispert is not worth the risk in most leagues, even with Kyshawn George (hip) essentially week-to-week. Players like Tre Johnson (13/3/3/1 with one three-pointer) will be a priority for the Wizards, and there will likely come a point when Will Riley (6/3/0/1) figures more prominently in the rotation as well.

Kispert’s continued absence does not significantly affect fantasy basketball, but it does free up minutes for some of Washington’s other wings. Tre Johnson has not reached the point where he’s a must-stream player, but that may change later in the season.

Kispert exited Tuesday’s loss to the Hornets with tightness in his left hamstring and will not play on Friday. With Cam Whitmore (shoulder) out indefinitely with a deep-vein thrombosis, there will be more minutes available to Tre Johnson off the bench. While he isn’t at a point where he should be rostered in redraft leagues, Johnson has “silly season hero” potential.

Kispert played 13 minutes off the bench before having to exit due to hamstring tightness. While there may be a few more minutes available to Malaki Branham, Tre Johnson is ahead of him in the pecking order regarding playing time.

Kispert has been out since fracturing the tip of his right thumb during a November 25 game against the Hawks. His return will give the Wizards additional perimeter shooting off the bench, but his fantasy value is limited. Leave Kispert on the waiver wire.

Kispert fractured the tip of his right thumb during the third quarter of Tuesday’s victory. According to the team, the injury will be treated “conservatively,” so fantasy managers should consider him to be out indefinitely. Despite his hot shooting against the Hawks, Kispert has not been much of an asset in most fantasy leagues. With Tre Johnson and Kyshawn George out, there will be more minutes available to Cam Whitmore. He isn’t a must-add currently, but deep-league managers should keep an eye on Whitmore.

Kispert was on a roll to begin Tuesday’s game, scoring 16 points in the first quarter. Unfortunately, he suffered a right thumb injury during the third quarter and has been ruled out for the rest of the night. With Tre Johnson and Kyshawn George also out, Cam Whitmore will have added value if all three remain sidelined. Malaki Branham has played rotation minutes out of necessity on Wednesday, but he is not worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

With Kyshawn George and Tre Johnson out for Tuesday’s game, Kispert receives the starting nod. Due to the absences, he’s worth a look in deep leagues, especially with only three games on the schedule. Washington’s other four starters are unchanged.

With just a few weeks left in the 2024-25 campaign, the last-place Wizards will be without another key option. In Kispert’s place, Kyshawn George and Justin Champagnie should continue to see increased playing time with AJ Johnson picking up a few extra minutes, too.

Kispert sprained his left thumb during Saturday’s loss to the Nuggets. Already ruled out for Monday’s game in Portland, he has been sent back to the nation’s capital to have his thumb examined by team doctors. Kispert’s early return means AJ Johnson could remain in the rotation. However, fantasy managers are better served to target Kyshawn George and Justin Champagnie, who remain available in more than 70 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Kispert injured his left thumb during Saturday’s win over the Nuggets and will not play in Portland on Monday. His absence frees up additional minutes for AJ Johnson, who logged 18 on Saturday, as the Wizards were already playing without Marcus Smart. While Johnson may take on a similar role, he isn’t productive enough to merit being streamed.

During Saturday’s game, Kispert sprained the thumb on his left (non-shooting) hand and was ruled out for the rest of the night. He played 15 minutes and finished with four points, two rebounds, and one assist. If Kispert misses time, his absence may be offset by Khris Middleton, who played 20 minutes on Saturday. There may also be minutes available for AJ Johnson, especially with the Wizards prioritizing the development of their young players.

After scoring 13 points on 4-of-15 shooting in games against the Magic and Nets, Kispert got back on track Wednesday night. He’s scored 20 points or more in two of his last five games and can provide solid three-point value. Before that two-game slump, he ripped off a run of seven straight games in double figures, averaging 16.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.3 three-pointers while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. Kispert is only rostered in seven percent of Yahoo! leagues; he’ll be worth a dice roll in deep leagues for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.
