After coming off the bench in his first two appearances as a Laker, Kennard moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday due to multiple absences. He shot the ball well and dished out five assists, but fantasy managers likely hoped for greater shot volume from the guard. For the Lakers’ final game before the break, Thursday’s game against the Mavericks, Kennard will likely be back in a reserve role. That limits his fantasy ceiling, but it may be the role that he’s more comfortable with right now.

Acquired from the Hawks for Gabe Vincent and a 2032 second-round pick, Kennard made his Lakers’ debut on Saturday. As expected, he was used in a reserve role, playing 26 minutes. Kennard isn’t at the point where he’s worth relying on in most fantasy leagues. But he’ll have every opportunity to change that, as the Lakers are looking to him to provide consistent perimeter shooting.

The Lakers haven’t been a successful three-point shooting team this season, but the addition of Kennard off the bench should help with that. With Austin Reaves back healthy, the Lakers don’t have as much of a need for Vincent as a reserve, but Kennard should have a place in the rotation. Fantasy managers shouldn’t pay this any mind, though this will be a helpful addition for the Lakers.

Kennard has logged at least 19 minutes in seven of his last eight games, with his minutes increasing when the shots are falling. The Hawks’ guard was 4-of-5 from beyond the arc in Memphis, with the 18 points being double his tally from the prior three games combined. Kennard still isn’t at the point where he can be trusted in fantasy leagues, but more nights like Wednesday could change that.

Kennard was upgraded from probable to available after a neck injury kept him sidelined for the Hawks’ most recent game against the Lakers. The veteran guard has remained a knockdown shooter in his ninth NBA season. He’ll take the floor on the heels of arguably his most productive game of the season, when he scored 22 points and drained six three-pointers in a win over the Warriors.

Kennard played through a neck injury on Saturday and then sat out Tuesday’s game against the Lakers. He seems likely to return on Thursday after missing just one game. It will be interesting to see how the Hawks manage the playing time between Kennard and Corey Kispert.

After playing through a sprained neck in Sunday’s win over the Warriors, Kennard was unable to go on Tuesday against the Lakers. Corey Kispert played 26 minutes off the bench in his absence, but his playing time will likely decrease if Kennard plays in Portland.

Kennard scored 22 points on Sunday, but he won’t get the chance to build on that performance. Zaccharie Risacher (knee) is also out, so Atlanta will be thin on the win. Corey Kispert should see a big bump in minutes in his second game for the Hawks.

Kennard spent some time on the sidelines during Sunday’s win over the Warriors, being evaluated for a sprained neck, but he returned to the contest and hit six second-half three-pointers. If he’s unable to play against the Lakers, more minutes may be available to Corey Kispert, but he would not be worth the streaming risk.

Kennard caught fire during the second half of Sunday’s game, knocking down six three-pointers on eight attempts. He played 20 minutes against the Warriors and has played at least that many in each of his last seven appearances. The absences of Zaccharie Risacher and Kristaps Porziņǵis have freed up additional opportunities across the rotation, so fantasy managers should take a wait-and-see approach to Kennard heading into Atlanta’s three-game Week 13.

Kennard will be back after a one-game absence against Toronto. In the rematch, he’ll occupy his typical role off the bench, which should push Keaton Wallace back out of the rotation.

Kennard did not play in Saturday’s loss to the Raptors, with his absence factoring into Keaton Wallace playing 19 minutes off the bench. However, he would not be worth the streaming risk if Kennard misses a second straight game.

Kennard was able to play 21 minutes off the bench on Friday but will be unavailable against Toronto. Keaton Wallace will likely make a return to the rotation, though he won’t see the floor enough to be worth streaming with the rest of the backcourt rotation healthy, sans Trae Young.

Kennard is available after sitting out Sunday’s win over the Hornets. His return will likely result in fewer minutes for fellow reserve Keaton Wallace, who hasn’t done enough to merit being rostered in fantasy leagues.

After playing 24 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, Kennard did not play in Sunday’s win over the Hornets. His absence coincided with Keaton Wallace’s return, and the point guard absorbed most of the minutes that would have gone to Kennard. Look for that to be the case if Kennard can’t play on Tuesday, but neither player needs to be rostered in most fantasy leagues.

Left hip inflammation will keep Kennard out of Sunday’s game after logging 24 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Pelicans. Asa Newell and Caleb Houstan may pick up additional minutes off the bench, but neither is worth the risk in fantasy leagues. However, Newell is the one with value in dynasty leagues, regardless of how little he’s played this season.

Kennard, who played 24 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, is dealing with left hip inflammation. While his absence would not significantly affect fantasy basketball, it would leave the Hawks down a rotation guard. As a result, Caleb Houstan could be asked to take on a more prominent role after not seeing any action until the final two minutes on Saturday.

Kennard missed Friday night’s game against the Raptors with an illness as well. With the Hawks running low on point guard options with Trae Young also out, expect Keaton Wallace and Vit Krejci to play more minutes, though neither are likely to be good a good streaming option.

Kennard has been downgraded from questionable to out, leaving the Hawks without two rotation guards. The absence of Kennard and Trae Young means more minutes will be required of reserves Keaton Wallace and Vit Krejćí. Neither player is likely to put up the numbers to merit streaming, but the opportunities will be there.

Kennard is a late addition to the injury report, and if he’s unavailable to take the court, Keaton Wallace could be in line for more minutes. Nickeil Alexander-Walker could get a slight bump, but he’s already locked into starter’s minutes with Trae Young sidelined.

After scoring no more than seven points in any of his first four appearances as a Hawk, Kennard needed a night like Wednesday. His four three-pointers were one more than his total entering Wednesday, and he recorded a complete stat line. Depending on the status of Trae Young, who injured his knee during the second quarter of Wednesday’s victory, Kennard’s role may expand, even if he continues to come off the bench.

Few teams have gotten off to a better start to the offseason than the Hawks, who added Kennard and Nickeil Alexander-Walker in free agency and Kristaps Porzingis via trade. Kennard agreed to a one-year deal, giving Atlanta a capable shooter off the bench. In 65 appearances for the Grizzlies last season, he shot 43.3 percent from three and is regarded as one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA. While the bench role would limit Kennard’s fantasy ceiling, opportunities to offer solid streaming value throughout the season will be there.

Initially questionable with a sore right Achilles, Kennard has been upgraded to available. With Ja Morant (hip) out, there will be more opportunities available to Kennard. Either he or John Konchar will start, with the latter being the more likely choice.

Kennard could be in line to start with Ja Morant (hip) doubtful for Game 4, but the 28-year-old shooting guard is questionable with right Achilles soreness. While Morant’s is an injury the Grizzlies simply can’t afford in this series, Kennard’s injury certainly doesn’t help them. Santi Aldama could be in line for a significant role if Kennard misses Game 4.

With Ja Morant sidelined, Kennard took on the role of facilitator for Memphis. This was his second-straight start, but it wasn’t a productive one outside of the assist boost. This was Kennard’s fifth game this season with at least eight dimes, but he wasn’t able to reach his season-high of 11. Kennard has upside as long as he is starting, but the production hasn’t been there consistently for him. He is known for his deep-range shooting, so while the assist numbers are fun, Kennard not hitting a triple is disappointing.

Kennard started Saturday’s game for Ja Morant, who did not play due to a shoulder injury. While the final stat line certainly wasn’t elite, Luke was far from a liability for deep-league managers. His value for Week 20, which begins Monday in Sacramento, depends on Morant’s availability. Kennard won’t need to be rostered if Ja is available.
