Mathurin had a chance to win Sunday’s game, but his three-point attempt in the final seconds missed the mark. Conclusion aside, that doesn’t take away from the Clippers wing having another excellent night for his new team. Since being traded, Mathurin has averaged 22.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 30.2 minutes per game. That production has been good for fifth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. Those who held onto Mathurin must be thrilled that the Pacers included him in the Ivica Zubac trade, because he may not have had these opportunities in Indiana.

Mathurin followed up his 38-point home debut with another productive outing on Friday. He worked his way to the free-throw line consistently and, when he wasn’t at the stripe, shot relatively well from the floor. Mathurin eventually fouled out of this game during the fourth quarter, which left the Clippers without many scoring options after Kawhi Leonard (ankle) had already exited. If Leonard misses any time, Mathurin will likely function as the Clippers’ primary scorer.

Mathurin made quite the impression on Clippers fans in his home debut on Thursday, exploding for nearly 40 points off the bench while coming up big down the stretch to help secure victory. He shot very efficiently along the way to tying a career-high in points, and was great at the free-throw line as well. Mathurin also chipped in on the glass and tallied a few steals on the defensive end to round out what was a really good performance from him. He’ll take the floor again against the Lakers on Friday on the second game of a back-to-back.

Mathurin was held to just nine points in his debut for the Clippers, and while he still struggled with his shot in this game, he was able to get to the free throw line, which helped him score in double figures. He also finished with exactly three steals for a second straight game, which was never a strong category for him. Managers shouldn’t expect that to continue, but it has been a nice boost during his first two games as a Clipper.

Mathurin made his Clippers’ debut on Tuesday, coming off the bench and playing 26 minutes. While his shooting accuracy wasn’t good, Mathurin’s minutes and scoring opportunities were encouraging. Add in the rebounds, assists and steals, and there’s some room for optimism regarding Mathurin’s fantasy potential for the rest of this season. He isn’t a must-roster player yet, but keep an eye on him, starting with Wednesday’s rematch with the Rockets.

Mathurin and Jackson were dealt to LA as part of the trade that sent Ivica Zubac to the Pacers, and both will be available to debut for their new team against Houston. Mathurin could join the starting lineup immediately or, at the very least, operate as a microwave scorer off the bench. Jackson figures to see backup minutes at center behind Brook Lopez. Mathurin is worth rostering in standard fantasy leagues, but Jackson is not.

Mathurin will be the headliner back for the Clippers and will provide them with a young scorer with upside. When healthy this season, Mathurin was a high-level scorer in an increased role, and he should be able to keep that going with the Clippers. The former lottery pick was never able to develop into the player the Pacers hoped he would become, but he’ll get the chance to reach his potential on a Clippers team that is starting to pivot towards the future.

Mathurin and Nesmith join Andrew Nembhard (back), T.J. McConnell (knee) and Pascal Siakam (rest) on the sidelines for the second leg of a back-to-back set. The absence of Nesmith and Nembhard should mean more run for Ben Sheppard and Johnny Furphy.

Mathurin has dealt with a right thumb sprain and turf toe, which has limited him to 25 games this season. However, he returned on Monday and is averaging 17.7 points per game in 31.8 minutes this season. Considering the Pacers “are not eager to hand Mathurin a big restricted free agent extension” this offseason, they could look to trade the former lottery pick now or wait to complete a sign-and-trade in the offseason.

Mathurin had another solid performance off the Indiana bench on Wednesday, reaching double figures in points for the second straight game and nearly logging enough rebounds to earn his first double-double since November. It’s unlikely Mathurin will start games or log heavy minutes in the near future, but if he can stay consistent in his current role off the bench, there are nights in which he could be a tempting streaming option for those fantasy managers looking for a scoring boost.

Mathurin played his first game since January 2, and he came off the bench with a limited workload. Despite the reduced playing time, Mathurin’s offensive impact was far from muted, as he hit 6-of-10 shots, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. He should see his playing time trend up moving forward, and fantasy managers in need of points and triples can safely deploy him.

Mathurin will play his first game since January 2, but he’ll come off the bench. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his playing time against the Hawks, as he may be on a minutes restriction after nearly a month on the sidelines.

Mathurin is dealing with a right thumb sprain as well as a toe injury. The 23-year-old small forward hasn’t played since January 2, but has a chance to return Monday against the Hawks. Fantasy managers should be aware that the Pacers and Hawks tipoff at 1:00 P.M. eastern time. If Mathurin is out again, Johnny Furphy should remain in the starting lineup.

According to Carlisle, Mathurin, who has not played since January 2, is progressing in his recovery from thumb and toe injuries. While the head coach also noted that he’s unsure when the wing will be able to play in games, Carlisle said on January 16 that he believed that Mathurin could play at some point during the Pacers’ current five-game road trip. Johnny Furphy should remain in the starting lineup until Mathurin can play without restriction.

He said he also expects the same for Isaiah Jackson, who has been out with a concussion. This trip starts in Detroit on Saturday and ends in Atlanta on Jan. 26. Johnny Furphy has been starting for the Pacers recently, but he will likely return to a reserve role when Mathurin ends up back in the rotation.

While a sprained right thumb was the listed reason for Mathurin’s absence, that isn’t the only injury that he’s dealing with. According to Pacers insider Scott Agness, the wing is also dealing with turf toe. Given where the Pacers are in the standings, there isn’t much reason for Mathurin to rush back. Johnny Furphy, who moved into the starting lineup, and Ben Sheppard are players for deep-league managers to track in Mathurin’s absence.

Mathurin injured his right (shooting) thumb during Friday’s loss to the Spurs, playing 20 minutes as a result. He’ll miss at least one complete game with the injury, leaving the already shorthanded Pacers down one of their better scorers. While Ben Sheppard and Johnny Furphy could play more in Mathurin’s absence, this could also be viewed as an opportunity to get rookie Kam Jones more minutes.

This was the third time Mathurin has attempted at least 13 free throws in a game this season. On October 23 against the Thunder, he made 15-of-17 free throws and on November 17 against the Pistons, he made 8-of-14 free throws. The 23-year-old small forward had 36 and 25 points in those games, respectively. We’ve seen these blips with Mathurin before and the scoring tends to be unsustainable. He’s averaging 18.3 points per game this year and 16.1 for his career. Mathurin remains more of a good scorer than an elite one.

Mathurin put together a monster second half, scoring 23 points on 8-of-11 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. The 23-year-old impending free agent is still capable of heating up with the best scorers in the league, averaging 18.5 points over 21 games this season.

Mathurin was one of the few bright spots in a low-scoring showdown against the cellar-dwelling Wizards as the Pacers mustered just 89 points in a losing effort. He hit just three of nine from the floor but managed to salvage his box score by getting to the charity stripe for eight free throws. The 23-year-old scoring machine has delivered eighth-round value over the past two weeks, averaging 16.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks over 30 minutes during that six-game sample. The Pacers are off until Thursday when they square off against the Knicks before closing out the week with a road tilt against the Pelicans.

For the first time since the Pacers’ first two games of the season, Mathurin has scored at least 25 points in back-to-back games. He was efficient against the Kings, posting solid percentages and committing only one turnover. Over the past two weeks, Mathurin has provided seventh-round per-game game value in eight-cat formats. The good news for fantasy managers is that the Pacers still have two more games to play in Week 8, starting with the 76ers on Friday.

Mathurin started the season by scoring at least 20 points in five straight games. He followed that up with 14 and 15 points on sub-40 percent shooting over Indiana’s previous two games before getting back on track in this one. Mathurin had high expectations entering this season with Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) sidelined, and he should be able to supply plenty of buckets for the remainder of the year.

After scoring at least 21 points in his first three games back from injury, Mathurin’s production has slowed down over the last two. Against the Pistons and Raptors, he totaled 29 points on 8-of-28 shooting from the field. While most players would be able to point to three-point shooting as the reason for their woes, that has not been the case for Mathurin, who has gone 3-of-15 (20 percent) from two over this two-game stretch. However, Friday’s game against the Wizards could be the slump-buster for Mathurin, given Washington’s poor defense.

Mathurin returned from a toe injury on Monday against the Pistons and had 25 points in 25 minutes while on a minutes restriction. The 23-year-old small forward scored 24 points in 34 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday, signaling that he can handle more minutes. It’s just two games, but Mathurin has scored 49 points and grabbed 15 rebounds already this week. After averaging 16.1 points and 5.3 rebounds last year, he could be in for a breakout season.

Mathurin is set to make his return from a toe injury against the Pistons on Monday. The 23-year-old shooting guard participated in a simulated game over the weekend. His return is huge for the Pacers, who’ve been dealt a brutal hand of injuries to start the season. It’s unclear if Mathurin will be on a minutes limit in his first game back.

On October 28, the Pacers referred to Mathurin as week-to-week. He still has not returned with what the injury report calls a “right great toe sprain.” We’ve seen Mathurin shooting in pre-game warmups, so it’s possible that he’s getting close to a return, but the Pacers have yet to provide any sort of timeline.

Mathurin’s lasting injury is another big blow for the Pacers, as he was the team’s leading scorer before getting sidelined. For as long as he’s out, Pascal Siakam will shoulder a heavy load on offense, while Ben Sheppard and RayJ Dennis should see additional playing time.
