Melton’s scoring is inconsistent, but he is capable as this was his fifth game with at least 20 points since the beginning of March. The 27-year-old point guard chipped in with a little bit of everything against the Kings, adding four rebounds and five assists to his 21 points. Melton also made four three-pointers, which he hadn’t done since February.

Melton missed Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs with a left thumb strain and is on the injury report as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Cavaliers. LJ Cryer started and had 17 points in 23 minutes in Melton’s absence Wednesday. It could play out similarly if Melton is ruled out again.

Added to the Warriors’ injury report on Friday afternoon, Melton is now out. Given the team’s lack of depth, they’ll need even more production from Brandin Podziemski and Gui Santos. Pat Spencer should also figure more prominently in the rotation, but he does not offer the same upside as Podziemski or Santos.

Melton is a late addition to the injury report due to left knee injury management, which doesn’t bode well for his availability. Golden State’s available scoring options are sparse, which means Gui Santos and Brandin Podziemski could be leaned on for their scoring if Melton is ultimately ruled out. Pat Spencer could see additional playing time, too.

Melton gave the ball away four times on Wednesday but took it back as many times, in one of his most productive defensive performances of the season. He also attacked the glass hard for a team-high in rebounds and contributed a bit as a passer to help offset some of his shooting struggles. Still, Melton produced enough as a shot-maker to score in double figures for the seventh time in March. All in all, Wednesday’s performance can be considered a nice bounce-back from Monday’s.

Melton was upgraded from probable to available ahead of Monday’s tipoff. With Melton active, the Warriors will have one of their most productive scorers over this recent stretch of games. He’s averaging 16.3 points per game during March and will have a good chance to produce against the Mavericks.

Melton had a good night despite the Warriors being on the wrong end of a blowout, recording his second 20-point game in his last four outings. He has provided 10th-round value in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break, shooting 41.4 percent from the field. If Melton can clean up the shooting, he becomes a far more valuable fantasy player. The Warriors play four games in Week 22, starting with the Mavericks on Monday.

Melton will play both games of the Warriors’ back-to-back, having logged 23 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Pistons. While he’ll be in the starting lineup, the Warriors may look to limit Melton’s workload. Still, he should be rostered in deep leagues.

Melton is questionable as he continues to manage a knee injury. He started and had 14 points in 23 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Pistons, but could sit out the second game of the back-to-back Saturday against the Hawks.

Golden State’s top two scorers on Monday were players who did not see action in Sunday’s loss to the Knicks. Melton and Kristaps Porziņǵis combined to score 57 points, with the former’s 27 being one shy of his season high. Melton has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four outings, providing needed scoring as the Warriors await Stephen Curry’s return. Unfortunately, the Warriors have another back-to-back during Week 21, which could limit Melton to two appearances in the team’s final three games.

Melton started and had 12 points in 24 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves. The 27-year-old point guard has been ruled out ahead of Sunday’s game against the Knicks for left knee injury management reasons. With Melton sidelined, Will Richard could move into the starting lineup.

Melton missed Tuesday’s game against Chicago and could remain sidelined against Minnesota. Will Richard started in place of Melton in his return from a four-game absence and would likely maintain that role if Melton misses another game, though his streaming upside will be limited.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that Melton would play in this game, which would be his first time playing both legs of a back-to-back this season after missing most of last season with a torn ACL. However, it won’t be the knee keeping him on the sidelines, but left adductor soreness. Expect Gary Payton II and Pat Spencer to take on extra minutes.

Back in the lineup after missing Saturday’s loss to the Thunder, Melton took a little while to get going. He hit his stride in the fourth, scoring 15 points to give the Warriors a shot at pushing the game into overtime before falling short. Following the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that Melton will be available for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls. This is the first time this season that he’s been available for both games of a back-to-back.

Having totaled 17 points on 6-of-22 shooting in his prior two games, Melton needed a night like Thursday. The 22 shot attempts were a season-high for the Warriors guard, who has scored at least 20 points in three of his last five appearances. As long as there isn’t a back-to-back on the schedule, Melton’s fantasy upside as a starter makes him a player who needs to be rostered in deep leagues.

Melton and Green are back after sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies. As a result of their returns, Will Richard and Al Horford will come off the bench. Horford offers a slightly higher fantasy ceiling than Richard in their respective roles due to Kristaps Porziņǵis’ continued absence due to illness.

Melton set a new season high for scoring in Tuesday’s loss, but he won’t get the chance to build on it during the second leg of this back-to-back. Brandin Podziemski, Will Richard and Gary Payton II should be in line for extra minutes, with one of them filling the open starting spot.

Melton has stepped up with Stephen Curry (knee) sidelined, and this was arguably his best performance. This was his highest-scoring performance since he scored 30 points for the 76ers in 2023. Melton had a long recovery after missing over a year with a torn ACL, but he is back to producing at a high level and should be considered a must-roster player.

While Gui Santos has been the best fantasy option for the Warriors since a case of runner’s knee sidelined Stephen Curry, Melton also has some upside as a starter. His stat line in Thursday’s defeat only lacked a blocked shot, a reminder of what Melton is capable of when he’s on. Unfortunately for those who have rostered the guard, his fantasy value has actually decreased since Curry’s injury, with Melton sitting outside the top-150 in eight-cat formats since February 1.

Melton’s stat line on Wednesday was evidence of why he can be valuable to fantasy managers, even with the lack of defensive stats. The Warriors guard made five of his six three-point attempts and provided solid value in the rebounds and assist categories as well. Over the past two weeks, Melton has provided 10th-round value in eight-cat formats. Stephen Curry’s expected return after the All-Star break should not do much, if any, harm to Melton’s prospects in category leagues.

Melton will be good to go despite initially being listed as questionable. He has started three straight games for Golden State and should remain in that role. He hasn’t been productive recently, but he should get the opportunity to fix that in this game.
