Minott’s second straight missed game will leave the Nets a bit thinner in the frontcourt. The fourth-year pro has started just one of the 16 games he’s played with the Nets, but is scoring 10.8 points per game on 49.1/39.5/80.0 shooting splits. He’s scored in double figures in eight of his last 10 appearances.

Injured during Friday’s loss to the Lakers, Minott was held out of Sunday’s win over the Kings. While productive, Minott’s playing time has not been consistent as the Nets play out the string, making him challenging to rely on in fantasy leagues.

Minott, who fell hard on his left hip during Friday’s loss to the Lakers, will not play on Sunday. His absence should result in more playing time for Chaney Johnson, but the Nets’ rotation has been somewhat unpredictable in recent games.

While Minott scored a team-high 18 points in Friday’s loss to the Lakers, he took a hard fall while converting a layup during the fourth quarter. If Minott can’t play on Sunday, there could be more minutes available to Chaney Johnson. However, the minutes for Minott and Johnson have been inconsistent, making both risky options for fantasy managers.

It is anyone’s guess which reserve frontcourt player will play the most minutes for the Nets on any given night. Against the Lakers, it was Minott, who was effective in 26 minutes on the floor. Chaney Johnson (two points, two rebounds and two assists), who’s had his moments recently, played 14 minutes. In theory, Minott’s superior night should earn him more minutes on Sunday when the Nets host the Kings, but that hasn’t been the case. Unless you’re competing in a 30-deep league, Minott and Johnson are too risky to roster.

Inserted into the Nets’ starting lineup after not playing at all in Sunday’s loss to the Kings, Minott logged a team-high 33 minutes in Portland. He shot the ball relatively well, including a 2-of-4 night from beyond the arc. While Minott has put forth some very good efforts since the All-Star break, the inconsistent opportunities make it challenging to trust him in fantasy leagues fully. Chaney Johnson played 26 minutes off the bench, finishing with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists. He’s another player who has received opportunities to contribute, but not to the extent that he should be rostered in most leagues.

The Nets have three new starters for Monday’s game, including Claxton, who missed Sunday’s loss to the Kings. Also in the lineup are Wilson and Minott, with the latter receiving a DNP-CD in Sacramento. In addition to not having Danny Wolf (ankle), the Nets are also without Terance Mann and Drake Powell, hence the three vacancies in the starting lineup.

Unlike Wednesday’s loss to the Thunder, when he didn’t check into the game until well into the second half, Minott was one of the first subs off the bench on Friday. He made the most of his opportunity, shooting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc and tallying 22 points as part of a complete stat line. Noah Clowney’s wrist injury freed up additional minutes for Minott on Friday, and that may be the case again on Sunday in Sacramento.

Minott was coming off an excellent game in Thursday’s loss to the Hawks, when he had 24 points, four three-pointers, three steals and three blocks. The 23-year-old small forward wasn’t able to re-create that magic Saturday against the 76ers as he had 14 points on 12 field goal attempts, three three-pointers and one block. While Minott has played at least 20 minutes in three consecutive games, his minutes haven’t been consistent enough to warrant adding in most fantasy leagues.

Minott had strong stretch with the Celtics earlier this season, but he hasn’t done much with his minutes since he was traded to Brooklyn. However, he shined in this game with a well-rounded, productive stat line. Michael Porter Jr. (ankle) was sidelined for this game, which may have led to Minott taking on a few extra minutes. He has proven that he can be productive when he gets the minutes, but they haven’t come consistently enough for him to be worth adding at this point.

Minott had an excellent stretch early in the season for Boston, but he has been out of the rotation for a while now. He’ll get a fresh start in Brooklyn, and the 23-year-old has already proven that he can be a fantasy commodity. He could be a sneaky grab for a rebuilding team, which could lead to strong production during silly season.

Minott has been out since January 3, and his absence has not affected fantasy basketball. While there may be room in the rotation for him, that isn’t guaranteed with Sam Hauser and Jordan Walsh also in the mix.

Minott has appeared in one game since Christmas, a January 3 win over the Clippers in which he logged three minutes. His continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball or the Celtics’ rotation. Fantasy managers should operate under the assumption that Minott is out indefinitely.

Minott’s continued absence will not affect fantasy basketball, as he had fallen out of the Celtics’ rotation even before his ankle injury. Sam Hauser is the current starting power forward, with Jordan Walsh and Hugo González providing depth off the bench.

This will be a sixth straight absence for Minott with no end in sight. Sam Hauser and Jordan Walsh may take on a few extra minutes with Minott out, but he had practically fallen out of the rotation prior to this string of absences.

Minott’s continued absence, with Monday’s game being the fourth that he’s missed, does not affect fantasy basketball. With Sam Hauser also out for Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, Hugo González and Jordan Walsh made up the rotation at the power forward position.

While Brown has been cleared to return from the illness that sidelined him on Saturday, the Celtics will be down a starter. Jordan Walsh is out due to illness, and Minott has been tabbed to fill the void. Sam Hauser, who started for Brown the last time out, will come off the bench.

No surprise here as Minott was initially listed as probable with a back injury. The 23-year-old small forward’s availability doesn’t significantly impact fantasy basketball either way. Expect Jordan Walsh to remain ahead of Minott in the Celtics’ rotation.

The probable tag suggests that Minott will ultimately be cleared to play on Friday. However, his availability does not significantly affect fantasy basketball. After earning the right to start earlier this season, Minott has been jumped in the rotation by Jordan Walsh.

Minott has provided a certifiable spark for the Celtics this season as his combination of size and athleticism makes him an ideal role player during the club’s transitional phase. The 22-year-old was back in double figures for just the eighth time this season as he knocked down a pair of three pointers and also racked up seven boards in less than 20 minutes off the bench.

While Minott can still have bouts of inconsistency, he’s developing into a player who should be considered in more fantasy leagues. Wednesday’s performance was his best, with the forward notching a career-high point total and three steals. Minott is rostered in 15 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and, understandably, some are hesitant to buy into him fully. But the potential to have nights like Wednesday may entice some to roll the dice on him.

Minott continues to provide a spark in his Celtics debut as he’s found a way to contribute across the board for fantasy purposes. He’s been a bit streaky as a shooter, but he’s done a nice job chipping in from a defense and rebounding standpoint thanks to his athleticism and motor. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot in deeper fantasy leagues as he’ll remain a key component of the new-look Celtics’ rotation moving forward. Boston begins a four-game week with favorable home matchups against the rebuilding Jazz and Wizards before heading to Orlando for back-to-back road contests.

After falling one rebound shy of a double-double in Monday’s win over the Pelicans, his first start as a Celtic, Minott was even better on the glass against Cleveland. Not only were his 14 rebounds a career-high, but this was also the second time in his career that Minott had reached double digits in that category (February 8, 2023, with the Timberwolves). Hugo González, who was replaced in the lineup by Minott, only played three minutes on Wednesday. Only rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, Minott is providing top-50 fantasy value. That may not last for the entire season, but he’s worth a look in deep leagues with the move into the starting lineup.

Minott will get his first career start, replacing Hugo Gonzalez in the starting unit. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has had no problems switching up his starting unit early on this season, so while he may not remain in this role, Minott will get a good opportunity.
