While Miller is a late addition to the Bulls’ injury report, he is still considered probable to play. If available, he may once again have a prominent role, as Matas Buzelis (illness) is questionable. Miller finished Thursday’s win over the Wizards with 26 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers. He is worth rostering in active fantasy leagues, even if Buzelis is available.

With most fantasy leagues already wrapped up, Miller’s performance against the Wizards won’t have much of an impact in that regard. However, his solid play since being traded to Chicago may help solidify his future, whether it’s in the Windy City or elsewhere. Miller has a team option for the 2026-27 season, and he would be a low-cost option to help fill out the roster if the Bulls decide to pick it up.

Limited to 16 minutes in a spot start on Saturday, Miller returned to the bench on Monday. And the Bulls forward enjoyed a career night in San Antonio, finishing with his first 20-point game. Miller filled the stat sheet and has now scored in double figures in 10 of his last 11 appearances. The Bulls, who have three more games in Week 23, are playing out the string, which means more opportunities for Miller on most nights.

Miller logged 31 minutes on Thursday, which was enough to score in double figures for a second straight game and finish one rebound shy of back-to-back double-doubles. The third-year forward has seen his opportunities increase in his short tenure in Chicago following a midseason trade from Minnesota. So far, he’s showing potential to be a double-double threat if the minutes are high enough.

The Bulls didn’t have Matas Buzelis or Patrick Williams for Thursday’s game, so Miller was the next man up. His issue offensively was the three-point shot, with the third-year forward missing all five of his attempts. While Miller did grab a career-high nine rebounds, the combination of poor shooting and the absence of defensive stats made Thursday a lost night for the few who streamed him.

The Bulls won’t have Josh Giddey or Matas Buzelis for Thursday’s game, which frees up two spots in the starting lineup. Sexton and Miller will fill the voids, and while the former is the safer streaming option, the latter possesses a higher ceiling now that he’ll be playing starters’ minutes.

At this point in the season, there’s no shortage of fantasy managers scouring the waiver wire for players with silly season standout potential. Could Miller be one of those options in Chicago? After playing no more than seven minutes in any of his first four games as a Bull, the third-year forward has played 23 and 27 minutes in the last two. And Miller has been productive, hitting double figures in scoring in both and recording a complete stat line on Sunday. Even with the Bulls playing three games in Week 19, keep an eye on the 6-foot-10 Miller.

The 2023 second-round pick has been viewed as a high-upside piece for a few seasons, but he hasn’t been able to turn that into consistent production. That was on a contender. In Chicago, he’ll be the tallest player on the roster, though there is still time for the Bulls to change that with more moves. Miller should be get a chance to at least play rotation minutes this season, which could lead to some production during silly season, but that doesn’t justify him as a player worthy of a roster spot in standard leagues at this point.

Miller had his highest scoring game of the preseason on Friday against the 76ers. He impressed both inside and outside the arc en route to finishing as the Timberwolves’ leading scorer for the game. Miller was also impressive earlier this preseason in a game against Guangzhou, where he secured a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double. He ended up having a solid preseason overall, but likely won’t play a meaningful role for Minnesota this upcoming season.

Initially expected to miss two weeks after suffering a lacerated right fifth finger, Miller returned a few days ahead of schedule. He played well against the Loong-Lions, leading the Timberwolves in rebounds and shooting 75 percent from the field. The issue for Miller heading into the regular season is that Minnesota’s frontcourt depth will make it difficult for him to earn consistent rotation minutes.

Miller will be cleared a couple days earlier than expected after initially being expected to miss at least two weeks. He may get an opportunity to play a significant role against the Guangzhou Loong-Lions, but he likely won’t have a consistent place in the rotation at the start of the regular season.

Miller suffered a laceration of the fifth finger on his right hand during Tuesday’s practice. With the timeline provided by the team, there’s no guarantee he’ll be fully healthy in time for the start of the regular season. Also, the injury prevents Miller from competing for rotation minutes in training camp after failing to make a dent in his first two seasons with the Timberwolves.

After only scoring six points in nine minutes on Saturday, Miller was able to bounce back with his second 20-point game of the summer. Entering his third season, it’s unclear what Miller’s role will look like, but he’s a talented player that can contribute in a variety of ways on both ends of the floor. More performances this summer will help his case to earn minutes.

The 33rd overall pick in the 2023 draft, Miller has yet to establish himself as a player worthy of consistent opportunities in Minnesota. That makes this summer league experience crucial for him, even though his contract for the 2025-26 season is guaranteed. Miller looked good on Thursday, playing at a high level on both ends of the floor. He isn’t someone fantasy managers will be targeting in most drafts, but Miller is worth tracking to see if he can provide Minnesota with added value off the bench.
